The overarching goal of this 11-week English language tutoring program is to provide
participants with a comprehensive understanding of fundamental grammar concepts
and vocabulary necessary for effective communication. Through a structured and
progressive curriculum, learners will acquire the skills to confidently express themselves
in both written and spoken English. The program aims to enhance proficiency in personal

Brief Description Related to the MCER:
This program aligns with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
(CEFR) by systematically addressing language skills across various levels. The structure
and content of each week correspond to different CEFR proficiency levels, allowing
participants to progress from A1 (Beginner) to B1 (Intermediate) in their language
proficiency.
• Weeks 1-2 (A1 Level): Establish a foundation in basic grammar structures and
introduce common vocabulary related to personal identification, family, and
everyday life.
• Weeks 3-4 (A2 Level): Build on language skills with the introduction of present
tenses and expand vocabulary to include occupations, daily routines, and
neighborhood-related terms.
• Weeks 5-6 (A2/B1 Level): Progress to past tenses and more complex sentence
structures while exploring vocabulary related to leisure activities, vacations, and
historical events.
• Weeks 7 (B1 Level): Advance to future tenses and explore the nuances of
expressing future aspirations. Introduce quantifiers and vocabulary related to
food and meals.
• Weeks 8-9 (B1 Level): Focus on descriptive language with comparative and
superlative adjectives, adjective order, and delve into expressing ability and
situations using modal verbs. Introduce vocabulary related to illnesses and
injuries.
• Weeks 10-11 (B1 Level): Review and consolidate knowledge, specifically focusing
on the present perfect tense and distinguishing between simple past and present
perfect. Prepare for the final sample tests, covering reading comprehension,
writing skills, and listening comprehension.

• Formal assessment: The teacher will give the students one quiz every week to
assess their knowledge of the grammar and vocabulary they have learned.
