WE HOPE YOURE LOOKING FORWARD TO TOUR!!

If you have any questions with regards to tour please contact your Group Leader

COACH GROUPS
You must ensure you are at the pick up point 30 minutes prior to departure! Your Group Leader will have your travel e-ticket but please ensure you have proof of identity so you can be verified against the coach list. Luggage Please be sensible when packing for tour. You only need four or five outfits (check the itinerary for fancy dress themes), your playing kit for your sport and some materials for maintaining reasonable levels of hygiene. Coaches will only accept ONE item of SOFT luggage (No Hard suitcases) weighing no more than 20Kg onto the coach per passenger so please ensure you pack appropriately. Sports and playing equipment should be stored underneath the vehicle. You only want a small amount hand luggage on board the coach as they can become very small places when you are on them for a long period of time Coach Rules Drinking and Smoking is strictly prohibited when you travel. Dover police have the right to refuse entry onto the ferry or channel tunnel. Inappropriate behaviour may result in being ejected from the coach. This also includes wearing tour tops with Obscene language these are BANNED on board the ferry and channel Tunnel British Transport rules state that alcohol is prohibited on all coach journeys. The Dover police do stop and search buses for alcohol. Last year a group were removed from the bus because they had been consuming alcohol and were unable to attend tour. The police do these checks and we cannot assist you if they are unhappy with your group. If you ignore these rules or antagonise the drivers- you risk your entire group being ejected from the vehicle. We take passenger safety very seriously. Remember you need to use the toilet all the way to Salou, so if you fill the tank (which is not unlimited) before you arrive in Dover- you will have a very uncomfortable journey indeed. On the Ferry After a few serious incidents last year involving members of the public being offended/intimidated/ assaulted by University Students en route to uni sports tours on the ferries, it is very, very important you inform your group that their behaviour in the waiting lanes and most importantly aboard the vessel must be appropriate and considerate of other passengers and mindful of marine safety regulations.

COACH GROUPS
The Port Police and the Ferry Operators will be watching you- and any groups who are behaving in a dangerous, inconsiderate or overly boisterous, will be ejected from the port and refused a crossing. If this happens we CANNOT find you an alternative crossing and your tour will end at this point! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! Stop 24 Services If you have chosen the Stop 24 Services please ensure you arrive with plenty of time and you are aware of your specified coach number (Ask your group leader). If you are not at these services on time the coach will NOT wait for you. Coach Sharing There is a very strong possibility you could end up sharing your coach with another university. It is also possible your group could be split over more than one vehicle with slightly different departure times (please ask your group leader). Make friends with your fellow passengers, be nice to each other and dont argue about which episode of Star Wars everyone should watch first. Youll see from your travel document who youre sharing with and how many there are - so please be smart and leave them a block of seats together.

FLIGHT GROUPS
You must be at the airport at least two hours before your flight departs. Luggage Ensure you have double checked your baggage allowance for your designated airline. This should be stated on your flight e-ticket and confirmation email. ALCOHOL AND BEHAVIOUR

Even though it may be tempting, dont overdo the drink just because you are away on tour. Ensure that you know your limit when it comes to Alcohol. You will not be allowed to carry your own alcohol into the hotel, therefore please dont buy crates and crates of continental booze en route because youll only have to leave it all outside the hotel or throw it away! It is against the law to drink in public areas, on the beach and on the streets. If you are found doing so you may be fined a minimum of 300 Euros. Please respect the locals in the resort and wear respectable clothing at all. You must be fully clothed when leaving the hotel and in public areas and always wear an appropriate top and bottoms.
