Zeerust is a commercial town situated in the North West. It is situated in the Marico
Valley, approximately 1 294 metres above sea level.

The town is 240 kilometres north-west of Johannesburg. It lies along the N4, the main
road link between South Africa and Botswana.

The climate in this area is characterized by short cold and dry winters and long warm to
hot summers. Rain is frequent during the summer months.

Two rivers flow through Zeerust: the Klein-Marico and the Karee Spruit. In Zeerust, there
is a natural spring at the Marico Oog.
