The X-Click technology
Chemical cross-linking
HA-based dermal fillers are commonly composed of HA
cross-linked with chemical agents such as BDDE or
formaldehyde in order to resist to enzymatic degradation and
to stay in the skin for several months.
Unfortunately, because of this chemical modification, the HA
will lose its natural ability to attach to skin cells and stimulate
collagen production [1].
Moreover, adverse events such as nodules, fibrosis and
granulomas can occur because of the breakdown of
cross-linked HA, especially with the use of large volumes
and repeated treatments [2, 3].
X-Click: A physical cross-linking
Astagen® Therapeutics has developed a new cross-linking
technology, called X-Click technology, making it possible to
cross-link the HA without any chemical agents, hence
providing a full biocompatibility and preserving the natural
viscoelastic and biological properties of the HA [4, 5].
HA cross-linked with X-Click Technology is easy to inject,
nonpalpable and well integrated with tissue, giving safe
and natural-looking results through an increase of collagen
production.

Macdermol bio-stimulators are designed to
stimulate the production of molecules
composing the extracellular matrix of the skin
such as collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin
that strongly decrease with aging.
Our line of bio-stimulators can effectively target

restructure the dermis to correct skin laxity.
Collagen depletion
Aging of the skin induces a decline in the number and
quality of the extracellular matrix components: collagen,
hyaluronic acid, elastin, fibronectin, etc.
This deficiency affects the thickness, density, elasticity and
hydration of the skin, and cause wrinkles, sagging skin and a
loss of glow.

Macdermol® Biolift
A safe solution for correcting skin laxity. It remodels
the aging tissue and provides an immediately lifting
effect on the skin.
With time and gravity, the soft tissue of the cheeks
descends, forming the “nasolabial folds”, the “jowls” and
the “turkey neck”, and creating a little pouch of excess
tissue that will hide the natural contours of a youthful
face.
Dermal fillers add facial volume but can't correct skin
laxity. MACDERMOL® BIOLIFT bridges that gap. It's not
a filler, but a potent bio-stimulator of collagen and
elastic fibers that increases the skin's elasticity and
firmness.
Once injected, it will enhance the synthesis of fibrous
proteins and glycosaminoglycans, providing an
immediate skin tightening and plumping effect.

Macdermol® BioRevitalisation
A skin booster that revitalises dull and tired skin to
create a healthy, glowing, youthful appearance.
Macdermol® BioRevitalisation is indicated to treat photo-
aged skin and to correct the loss of glow due to pollution,
smoke, stress, alcohol, lack of sleep, nutritional deficiencies or
hormonal change.
It will also provide protection against free radicals and the
glycation process to prevent the degradation of the structural
components of the dermis.
Macdermol® BioRevitalisation is composed of a high
concentration HA and a Revitalisation Complex of mannitol,
alpha lipoic acid, and dexpanthenol which will provide a
powerful free radical neutralisation by increasing the levels of
intracellular glutathione, the body's major antioxidant.
