INTRODUCTION:

I will talk about Overfishing in this research. If you had an opportunity, would you
stop overfishing? Overfishing is when people fish more than needed and many fish
die because they are being brought out of the sea. Overfishing has a bad impact on
the environment as it can cause many problems in the ocean. It also can lead to
many bad things that could happen. It can cause problems not only in the ocean
but also for fish price and many other things. People should stop overfishing, or
many ocean creatures will suffer from living.

 WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THERE’S OVERFISHING?

As mentioned, overfishing can lead to many problems. When overfishing occurs, it means
that many fish are being caught from the ocean. This can cause a huge decrease in fish
which can lead to many bad things happening. Overfishing makes fish populations go down
because they can’t reproduce or grow. An example of overfishing is when your family brings
sweets, but you eat so much and don’t leave enough for your family. This example is related
to overfishing because overfishing stops the balance between people who fish and keeping
enough fish in the ocean, which means that the ecosystem has a balanced supply chain
between fish that get taken out of the sea and have limits to let other fish in the ocean be
enough for others. Overfishing causes many bad things to happen, so people should always
be careful while fishing.

WHY DOES OVERFISHING IMPACT NEGATIVELY?

The Ocean ecosystem is calling for an end to overfishing. Overfishing affects the entire
ecosystem. It has a very bad impact on the ocean ecosystem. Overfishing changes the size
of fish, there are many other reasons why people should stop overfishing. It also can lead to
fewer fish. Every time overfishing increases seafood/fish decreases. Fewer fish make
seafood hard to find easily, and it increases fish prices due to that it’s hard to find. This
means people who rely on seafood because of protein will also be affected. There are 3
billion people now who eat seafood and when overfishing occurs it will be hard for those
people to find seafood and that will make fewer people eat seafood. Overfishing makes
ocean creatures suffer from living in the ocean.

WHY SHOULD PEOPLE STOP OVERFISHING?

Did you ever discover why some people say that fisheries and people who fish for fun
should be careful that they don’t take fish out of the sea so fast? When people catch fish
out of the ocean so fast that fish can’t reproduce or grow, at that point overfishing occurs.
People should stop overfishing, or else ocean ecosystems will be destroyed, and many
people and fish will suffer, which is gonna make many problems in the environment. If
people didn’t stop overfishing now many problems would occur. Not only in the ocean but
in the environment. If you’re overfishing, then you should stop because you’re making
ocean creatures suffer from not having a safe place to stay in or time to grow and
reproduce, and it could cause many problems to happen around the whole world.
Overfishing is a big deal and people should stop fishing more than needed!

WHAT SEA IS MOST OVERFISHED?

The Mediterranean Sea which is located between Europe, North Africa, and
Western Asia also connected to the Atlantic Ocean is considered as the most
affected sea by overfishing. Therefore, The Mediterranean Sea suffered the most
because of fisheries that are overfishing. Overfishing made The Mediterranean Sea
have a lot of small fish and only small fish, when overfishing occurs, they catch only
big fish and big fish eat small fish which makes small fish remain without being
eaten by big fish. This is not a good thing to happen because it's affecting the way
fish live in the ocean and therefore fish can't survive in the ocean anymore, or live
normally. The Mediterranean Sea is considered as the most overfished place
because it's a popular place of fishing, many people go there to fish. There are a lot
of people whose lives depend on fishing, but when too many people go there
sometimes fish are taken out of the sea so fast that they can't reproduce which
causes overfishing. That can lead to disruption of ecosystem balance and many
problems.

WHAT ARE SOME SOLUTIONS FOR OVERFISHING?

As known, overfishing has many bad effects, but some solutions could stop
overfishing. One solution is to create a specific place where overfishing is not
allowed to give fish space to reproduce without being harmed and to stay safe. This
solution could make overfishing decrease since it’s gonna make fish have their own
space to reproduce without being caught and it will help to balance between
catching enough fish and making sure there’s enough fish in the ocean. Therefore,
if we worked to do this solution seafood would be enough and fish prices won’t
increase. Also fish won’t suffer and they will have enough time to reproduce and
grow. Another solution is to make people stay on the fishing method which is only
catching a specific fish that you want without catching other fish species. This can
help in keeping fish safe and balancing the number of fish taken and the fish in the
ocean. People should start working on stopping overfishing and finding solutions to
it to keep the environment safe.

CONCLUSION:

Overfishing is when people catch fish too fast out of the sea that they can’t reproduce or
grow. It can lead to many problems to happen, fewer fish, increasing fish price, seafood
decreasing, fish suffering, and many small fish in a sea. People should stop overfishing
because they’re harming the environment and the marine ecosystem. There are ways of
stopping overfishing, one way is to make a specific place in the sea that overfishing is not
allowed there, and fish go there to be safe or reproduce. Another solution that they can use
the fishing method which is when you only catch the fish species you need without taking
any other species. Many people’s life depends on fishing, but they should be careful
because when they take fish so fast out of the sea overfishing occurs.
