2.0 PROPOSED ARRANGEMENT:

Design, Drawing, Supply, Installation of STP of capacity 300m3/day in Trainee Hostel, Guest
House and Villa of Vedanta Limited Jharsuguda, Odisha is a turnkey project. All the water
retaining structures are analysed and designed as per IS:3370 specifications. Buildings and
shed structures are designed in STAAD software.
This design report consists of the design of following units
i) Stilling Chamber
ii) Equalization Tank
iii) Anoxic Tank
iv) MBR
v) Chlorine Contact Tank
vi) treated Water Holding Tank
vii) Secondart Clarifier
viii) Sludge Holding Chamber
All the above tanks are rectangular/circular tanks resting on ground. Vertical walls of tank are
rectangular panels fixed at edges and bottom. Base raft is supported on compacted fill having
sufficient bearing capacity. Suspended slabs are supported on side walls. Anlaysis is done
based on IS:3370 part (IV) coefficients method and member sections are designed for the
maximum forces and moments. Common walls are designed for the worst effect by
considering one side full and other empty. All members are designed in limit state method by
limiting the crack to 0.10 mm.
