Subject: - 20th National Youth Athletics Championships 2025
Dear Sir,
I am pleased to inform you that 20th National Youth Athletics Championships 2025 is scheduled
to be held at Patliputra Sports Complex, Kanker Bagh, Patna, Bihar from 10-12 March 2025. The
competition will be organised under the aegis of Athletics Federation of India as per following
details:

Since the 6th Asian U-18 Athletics Championships will be held from 15-18 April 2025 in Saudi Arabia, in
order to do the entry of the Indian athletes within the stipulated time, the 20 th National Youth Athletics
Championships has been preponed. The last date of final entry of 6th Asian U-18 Athletic Championships
is 15 March 2025. Hence, to conclude, the new dates of 20th National Youth Athletic Championships are
10-12 March 2025 instead of 18-20 March 2025.
The Championships and events will be organized in accordance with the Rules of World Athletics-
Competition & Technical Rules 2024 & Indian Athletics Manual (updated as on 01.10.2020).
The SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) issued by Govt. of India/MYAS/SAI/AFI & Government of
Chhattisgarh shall be followed for hosting this National Athletics Championships.
Championships & Eligibility Details:
1. The individuals representing the “Affiliated States/UT Athletics Associations” will enter in the
Championships.
2. Each State can enter maximum TWO Athletes in each event.
3. An Athlete can enter in TWO individual events.
4. If both individual events are track events, only one of these events can be longer then 200m.
5. Only Athletes aged 16 or 17 on December 31, 2025 (born in 2008 or 2009) may compete
6. The entries should be submitted “ONLINE” on AFI Website by the Affiliated States/UT from 15
February to 05 March 2025. Entries sent by the mode other than “ONLINE” will not be
accepted. It should also be noted that athletes with AFI UID can only participate.
7. The athletes who meet the Entry Standards (enclosed) will only be allowed to enter in the
Competition. The performance must have been achieved either in NationalChampionships/State
Championships or AFI recognized Championships where electronic systemhad been used. The
proof of achievement is mandatory to attach during the online entry.
Entry Fee of INR 500/- per event per athlete will have to be paid online alongwith entry. The
Last date for receipt of Entries is 05 March 2025. In no case, entries after the target date will be
entertained.
Age Verification of the Athletes will be done a day prior to the Competition Day.
Entry Standard:
Entry Standard is attached with this circular. It is once again advised to send the entry of only those
athletes who have achieved the Entry standards fixed by AFI and the proof is must to be attached in
online portal, failing which the entry of an Athlete will be rejected.
BIB Numbers:
Bib nos. will be issued to concerned Manager on 09 March 2025 during the Managers Meeting.
Medals & Certificates:
The medals will be issued during the course of the Competition and participation Certificates will be
issued online only to those athletes who achieve the qualification standards set by AFI. The Digital
Merit Certificates will be issued to the athlete only after receiving the “Dope Test “report from
NADA.
Dope Samples:
Dope Samples will be collected by the officials of National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA).
UID Card:
Kindly note that it is mandatory to produce UID Card issued by AFI in the Call Room whenever it is
demanded by AFI/NADA Officials. However, those athletes who are not in possession of AFI UID Card will
be issued the same during the meet at the competition venue.
Boarding & Lodging:
Please be informed that the Boarding, Lodging & Local Transport facilities to participating Athletes
will not be provided by the Athletics Federation of India. Athletes will therefore have to make their
own arrangements in this regard.

AFI or Organizing State Unit will not be held responsible directly or indirectly for any loss of
life/damage/illness/injury in connection to participation in 20th National Youth Athletics
Championships 2025. All Athletes/officials/vendors have to participate on their own risk. You are
requested to bring it to the notice of your athletes. Your cooperation in this regard is solicited.
