Complementary Medicine of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth
Traditional complementary therapies have gained significance
worldwide and the Government of India is currently promoting
indigenous systems of health through Ministry of AYUSH. However, very
few institutions are working wherein such complementary therapies
collaborate as part of the mainstream medical healthcare system and
the limitations of modern medicine in managing stress-induced
psychosomatic, non-communicable, and chronic diseases are the
strength of such complementary therapies. Holistic integration of both
traditional and modern systems enables the best quality of patient care
to manifest through the School of Yoga Therapy (SYT) and School of
Music Therapy (SMT) respectively under the ambit of the Institute of
Salutogenesis and Complementary Medicine (ISCM) of Sri Balaji
Vidyapeeth (SBV).
Over the past decade various services are being offered through ISCM.
