B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-801) .
(2) On the VENTILATION section of the panel 212VU:
· make sure that the EXTRACT pushbutton switch is pushed (AUTO) (the FAULT
and OVRD legends are off)
· make sure that the CAB FANS pushbutton switch is pushed (the OFF legend is
off).
(3) Do the EIS start procedure (EWD DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-801) .
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO PERSONS IN A RADIUS OF 5 M MIN.
AROUND THE NOSE LANDING GEAR. WHEN THE MECHANIC CALL HORN
OPERATES, THE SOUND LEVEL IS MORE THAN 110 DB.
4. Procedure

A. Operational Test of the Cooling Effect Detector
ACTION RESULT
1.On the VENTILATION section of the On the VENTILATION section of the panel
panel 212VU: 212VU:
· release the CAB FANS pushbutton · the OFF legend of the CAB FANS
switch. pushbutton switch comes on.
The recirculation fans stop.
On the EWD, after approximately 1
minute:

ACTION RESULT
· the VENT BLOWING FAULT warning
comes into view.
Then the MASTER CAUT light comes
on and you can hear the single chime.
Then after approximately 5 minutes,
the mechanic call horn in the nose
gear well operates.
2.On the VENTILATION section of the On the VENTILATION section of the panel
panel 212VU: 212VU:
· push the CAB FANS pushbutton switch. · the OFF legend of the CAB FANS
pushbutton switch goes off.
The recirculation fans operate.
On the EWD, after a time delay
between 25 seconds and 180
seconds approximately:
· the VENT BLOWING FAULT warning
goes out of view.
At the same time, the mechanic call
horn in the nose gear well stops.
NOTE: You can stop the mechanic call
horn in the nose gear well if you
push the RESET pushbutton
switch on the panel 925VU.
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-802) .
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-801) .
