REFLECTION ON FGD/LAC
Interpreted collaboratively monitoring and evaluation strategies of
attainment data to support learner progress and achievement
Well-designed assessment methods provide valuable information about student
learning. They tell us what students learned, how well they understood it, and where they
struggled. Practical assessment gives students a sense of what they know and do not know
about a subject. If done well, the feedback provided to students will indicate how to improve
their performance. Assessments must match the content, the nature of thinking, and the
skills taught in a class.
After the LAC session we conducted, we learned that the assessment addressed the
needs of the learners, but the way we process the data is also essential.
Teachers are working hand in hand to ensure our students; assessment results are
appropriately evaluated and used to create and improve new assessments for future
purposes. Everyone shared their experiences at expertise with the new teachers. We also
brought test papers, results, and most and least learned competencies to share everyone's
thoughts.
Based on our feedback, we concluded that assessments had defined our purpose, but
interpretation skills also matter. Proper interpretation of data will give us ideas on how to
improve our students.
Lastly, we all know how vital test constructions are, but strategies in monitoring and
evaluation strategies of attainment data to support learner progress and achievement are
also important.
