CHAPTER 1

The streets of Moseley Throne are always busy at the day and will always be
quiet at night. Birds chirping song in the day. There have been stories about how
people go missing every Saturday night this caused a stir in the community. Do
you ever try to believe what people say but you want to see it for your eyes in
order to believe it yes that is what Cassie Juvern wanted she laugh at all these
stories the servants are saying while they clean the room. They are working for a
rich family.

Ella: “I heard Mrs Smith is also missing this happened last Saturday”. They all
nod expect Cassie she did not believe anything.

Cassie: “I don’t think she is missing what if she went to visit a relative”. They
glanced at her.

Rose: “You really think that’s the case you see it when it happens to you”. She
shakes her head.

Cassie: “You believe a lot of stories they are not real none of all of these stories
are true”. The ladies laughed.

Juliet: “Keep believing your words until it happens to you then you will believe it”.
She sighed as they move out separate ways. She walks into the dining hall and
start cleaning. Cassie is a twenty three years girl who lives with her big brother
who is a detective he tries by all means to make sure they live a good life. He is
Conan Juvern working in a police station near by. Cassie is also working as a
servant at the rich family house they pay them enough money to provide for their
family. She wipe the floors, the tables and everything then walks away.
“Colmas Elsa Ocra”. A deep voice startled her making her to glance around she
does not see anyone she chuckles shaking her head.

“Colmas Elsa Ocra”. A soft one says she jumps in fear she does not understand
where these voices come from her heart is beating so fast she is breathing
heavily. One servant gets inside she calls Cassie but she does not reply she
moves close to her touching her hand she jumps again.

Malia: “Are you alright Cassie you look like you saw a ghost”. She blinks nodding.
She walks away leaving the servant confused. She does not know what just
happened. She is sure she heard a voice two voices at that. She finds other
servant eating she joins them.

Ella: “Someone said there is a cult around here that they drink blood, and
worship on something that is unseen”. Cassie feels her body shiver she shakes
her head. She continues to eat without minding what they say. They finish going
back to cleaning she walks inside the bedroom of the owner. She arrange the
bed neatly placing the pillows in their order a curtain hangs straight down in front
of an open window then a sudden gust of wind past the window Cassie feels her
body burning she screams the curtain is pulled out of the window. She scream
loud seeing this she is gasping she froze when she turns about to run to the door
it locks it self this is why she is frozen in her step. This is not happening Cassie
you are just hallucinating she tells herself. She gasped hearing footsteps behind
her the back of her hair rise up the footsteps are heavy as if it some kind of an
animal. She turns slowly breathing heavily but she sees nothing behind her. The
door flips open another servant walks inside startling her.

Rose: “Cassie what is happening with you we are leaving finish up”. Cassie
nodded the curtain is in its place like it was pulled outside. She quickly finishes
up doing her cleaning them rush out scared that something might happen again.
She find them waiting for her they walk out of the house.

Juliet: “I am telling you something strange is happening in our town”. The others
nod but Cassie was feeling uneasy as if someone is watching her she wanted to
get home. They get inside the bus it dropped then off leaving Cassie alone she is
the last one to get dropped. She jumps when a huge scary hand bangs the
window leaving blood on it she screams loud the driver stops the bus.
Driver: “Miss are you okay back there?”. She shakes her head pointing at the
window.

Cassie: “There is—is blood on this window I—I saw a hand on this window then it
left blood”. The man quickly get out to check what she is talking about. He
glanced at the window with a frown.

Driver: “Miss there is nothing here I see no blood”. She look at him, and she can
see he is serious she glanced back at the window the blood is gone she blinks
shaking her head.

Cassie: “It was here but now it’s gone I saw it the—the blood was—was here I’m
not crazy I—I really saw it”. She shakes her head again vigorously.

Driver: “Miss I did not say you are crazy calm down sit we have to go I’m working
here”. He goes back to his seat she sighed sitting down. The bus drives off she is
sitting near the window now she glanced outside then she noticed a shadow
moving fast she gasped closing her mouth. She is losing it. This is not real Cassie
stops thinking too much this not is real she tells herself nodding. They stop she
walks out walking faster to her house she takes the key out she is shaking she
can’t put the key on a hand grabs hers she screams jumping causing her brother
to be glanced at her shocked.

Conan: “The hell Cassie you scared me”. She was breathing heavily now.

Cassie: “Don’t ever I mean ever do that again”. He frowned nodding he open the
door getting inside.

Conan: “Whooah Did something happen to you?”. She shakes her head.

Cassie: “Nothing happened you just scared me that’s all”. He chuckled.

Conan: “Yeah right I believe that when did I ever scare you Cassie your hands
were shaking sister something happened to you”. She groaned.

Cassie: “Nothing happened Conan can you let this go I’m going to take a
shower”. He raise his hands in surrender. Cassie goes to her room she breathe
heavily out when she closes the door. “What is happening to me? I’m starting to
believe the rumours now but why is this happening to me?”. She talks to herself
taking her clothes off soaking her body in the bath tub she close her eyes feeling
the warm water in her body. The room is cold quickly than anything black claws
long grabs her hair pulling her head out of the tub she screamed coming face to
face with the most scary creature with long teeth eyes blood red, long black hair
it the mouth opens wide suddenly a waterfall of blood is released on her face
she is gasping for air it let go her hair she coughs loud wiping her face that is now
full of blood. She jumps out of the tub seeing that the water has now turned into
blood. She close her eyes breathing in and out. When she opens her eyes there
is no blood on the tub even her face is clean like that monster did not vomit
blood on her face. She quickly wipes her body getting dressed then walks out of
her bathroom. She is shaken and scared about what just happened in her
bathroom. Will she keep seeing things or will something big happen this time?
She is now laying on her bed a knock from her door.

Conan: “Will you come down for dinner?”. She huffs she is not even hungry at
this moment.

Cassie: “No I’m not hungry I just want to sleep”.

Conan: “Alright then if you are hungry you know where to find your food”. He
walks away. She sighed then glanced at her window she sees that it is opened
she frown not remembering leaving it open. She get out of the bed then walks
near the window she fix her curtain then when she is just about to close it a hand
with long black claws handshake her hand she falls back screaming louder than
anything. Can’t her brother hear her screams?. She glanced at her hand it looks
like it got burned what is happening to her? She closes the window fast feeling
her heartbeat running fast. She moves to the bed hoping she will sleep because
if something strange and scary happens to her then she will go sleep together
with her brother. She doze off.

NARRATED

Dimitri Hugo Weston was groaning on his bed his face was slowly changing the
curse was eating him slowly. His grandmother was wiping his face he could not
walk as his legs were numb he could not feel them. Lucia wiped his face going
down to his body she made sure to clean him. She fight the urge to cry seeing his
grandson in this condition because of someone who hated him. Dimitri is
someone who never looked down upon people he would give back to the needy
in ways that would satisfy them. He has always been a good person but his good
heart led him to be in this bed fighting for his life. Leon got inside the room he
watched his friend groan on the bed. Dimitri has three friends Leon Pollard,
Rodney Packer, Toby Argent who are always by his side they never left him even
from the day Elizabeth put a curse on him. This feels like it happened yesterday
when Leon is thinking about it.

The hall is looking absolutely amazing as the people gathered around to

celebrate Dimitri’s birthday. His friends are here together with his grandparents.
The Weston are the richest family in town followed by Thompson family which is
in competition with them. The Thompson hate Dimitri because of how much
successful he has become he even made sure that his family is the top richest
family. Families all over town are invited to this special night. His grandmother is
the one who convinced he to do this celebration he has never wanted to do
something this big him just wanted something small with his grandmother and
his grandfather. The guests have arrived he even invited the Thompson family
because he does not hold anything against them he also respect them, and does
not see them as his enemies but little did he know right——he was in room
which is big inside this is a room of a wealthy young business man who have
sealed a lot of deals earning him to be the at the top. He was waiting for his
grandmother to come and get him when the guest have all arrived. He was
anxious of being in a large crowd he has never engaged with so many people. He
heard a knock then his friends got inside smiling they fists bumped and shoulder
bumped laughing at how he looked.

Rodney: “Damn you sweating Hugo this is too much right?”. He nodded rubbing
his hands together.
Toby: “Yeah you granny really went all out for this you should see how many
people are waiting for you”. They laugh.

Dimitri: “I told her I wanted something small but she insisted on doing this”. He
sighed.

Leon: “I think she just wanted you to be happy but will you be okay there are too
many people out there”. They know him too well he was not used being in
crowded places or rooms.

Dimitri: “I have to do this man if I don’t my lady will be hurt”. They nodded he
calls is grandmother his lady.

Rodney: “There are beautiful ladies that I just saw damn man I swear I saw my
wife there”. They burst out laughing.

Leon: “Your wife man stop dreaming we all know you will never wed someone”.
Rodney squint his eyes for him.

Rodney: “Stop saying that to me I will find a wife one day that I promise”. They
chuckled.

Dimitri: “We believe you no need to get angry when is she coming here”. A knock
disturbs them his grandma walks inside smiling at them.

Lucia: “You look handsome as always my boy I know you will find your soulmate
downstairs”. He groans a little they laugh at him.

Dimitri: “My lady can we not talk about this please”. She nodded they know he
does not like talking about finding a girl for himself because right now he is a
busy man who won’t have time for dating he already told them that is why he is
dismissing his grandmother. “Can we go now my lady”. She nodded smiling they
walk out of his room. He walks behind them his breathing heavily he glanced
down at the hall and sees many people he exhale loud walking downstairs he
smile when he finally reach the end of the staircase. The room goes quiet when
they see him then they applauded loud he is still smiling. He goes to each and
every guest greeting them with so much love he admit that it is not as what he
thought it would be like being in crowded place. He is done with greeting the
guest he now stand together with his friends.

Toby: “You see nothing happened it is not that bad being in this crowded room
right?”. He nod.

Dimitri: “I agree with you on that one”. He says drinking his wine. The party is fun
with people who are dancing, laughing and talking about beautiful things.
Everyone is happy but not all of them are happy in this room. The Thompson
family is standing amongst the people watching Dimitri hugs his grandmother
who just finished saying a few words about his grandson. Victor glanced at his
wife Elizabeth who nodded smiling. She slowly walks towards Dimitri an his
grandmother. There is something on her hand it looks like a shell. She release an
evil laugh making everyone to turn and glanced at her. Lucia and George stand in
front of her.

Lucia: “Elizabeth what is this about?”. She laughs again with Victor was me
smiling next to her this is confusing Dimitri.

Eliza: “Wow Lucia how bold of you to ask that did you really think inviting us here
would change what he has done”. She points at Dimitri he frowns looking at is
friends.

George: “Our grandson did nothing wrong why are pointing fingers at him”. The
room was quiet only them were now speaking. Victor chuckled.

Lucia: “Yes he has done nothing so why are you doing this?”. She scoffs.

Victor: “That grandson of yours has made me lose a lot of deals, he took
everything away from me——my clients, my money now he is rich that can’t
happen we won’t let that happen George”. He roared gasp filled the room. Dimitri
moved to them confused by all of this.

Dimitri: “Mr Thompson with all due respect I never took anything from you those
deals were not yours everything I have was never because of you”. He was calm
Elizabeth gave him a deadly stare. This look scared him he moved back.
Lucia: “Leave my grandson alone if you don’t want to be here you can leave you
are drawing attention your way”. Victor laughed a bit. He nudge his wife she
smile then nodded.

Eliza: “I now curse you Dimitri Hugo Weston to fail in everything to lose your
businesses, to be never remembered by anyone they will forget about you, you
will rot inside out but only when you find a pure blood do a blood oath then that
is when the curse will lifted”. Everyone screamed. She blow the shell again. “You
will not remember what happened here go out and leave never ever come back
here you will only come back when the curse is lifted”. People ran outside Iike
something was chasing them only Dimitri and his friends, grandparents and the
Thompson were there. She frown glancing at his friends who were holding
Dimitri’s weak body after she said that he fell down his grandmother was next.
George was shaking her body trying to wake her up.

Eliza: “Why are you still here?”. Toby scoffs.

Toby: “Lady I know people like you, my grandmother was a witch she gave us
bracelets to protect ourselves from people like you but I guess our friendship is
stronger no spell or curse will work with us”. She nodded smirking.

Eliza: “Well then George when you find someone with pure blood but I doubt you
will make that person but be sure to do the blood oath I want you to suffer first I
will make your lives miserable just like you did to mine your wife knows how to do
it”. They walked out laughing loud leaving them shattered beyond anything.

(BACK TO THIS DAY)

From that day Dimitri’s body has been looking like something is eating him he
was even smelling a bit which means just Iike Elizabeth said ‘she wanted him to
rot’ it was really happening. His grandmother regret dining that party she regrets
inviting all those people she wished that she listened to him when he said he
wanted something small but she was to happy for his birthday celebration. A
celebration birthday that turned out to be tragic in this family. Leon walks toward
the bed he squeeze his friends hand.

Leon: “When will we find this person who has pure blood look at him he is slowly
dying”. She sniffed.

Lucia: “I don’t know Leon every person we try to find Elizabeth gets to them first
she now up killing them all these missing people in town are abducted by her
and that evil family of hers”. Leon huffs.

Leon: “You can’t do this on your own Toby and Rodney are always trying to find
this person with pure blood and now you are working yourself to death please
rest if Hugo sees you like this he will be shattered”. She sighed nodding.

Lucia: “Then you will need someone who will take care of the house because
when I start resting it will days for me to be back on my duties”. He smile.

Leon: “Don’t worry I will make it sure to do posters looking for someone to work
here go and rest you need it”. She walked leaving him looking at is friend helpless
body. “We will help you Hugo we will it give Elizabeth will pay for what she did to
you”. Hugo lost his business from that day. The Thompson were running
everything they got Hugo’s deal’s they were richer now just like they wanted.
Leon took his phone calling Rodney.

Rodney: “Is everything okay man?”. He sounded worried. They all care about
their friend.

Leon: “Yes I finally convinced grandma to take some time to rest now we need
someone who will working inside the house”. He listen.

Rodney: “Do you think there is someone who will want to work there won’t
people get scared you know the rumours”. He sigh.

Leon: “I know the rumours man I even broke up with Stacy because she always
bad-mouthing Hugo so I could never let anyone said bad remarks about my
friend but man let’s try maybe someone who don’t believe those rumours will
come”.

Rodney: “Alright I trust sorry about Stacy uhm I’ll do posters for you and you will
get them delivered today I won’t be there tonight I have a late night meeting so I’ll
sleep at my house”. He nodded.

Leon: “Alright man let Toby know because I know he will be happy to hear that
grandma is finally taking care of herself”.

Rodney: “I will let him know let do the posters talk to you later”. They drop the
call he glanced at Hugo.

Leon: “I hate seeing you like this buddy I hope we get you out of here in time”. He
squeezed his hand then walked out. He found George in the kitchen drinking
water.

George: “Thank you son you knocked some sense into my wife’s head she is now
resting so what will happen now”.

Leon: “I decided to make posters but Rodney will make them then get them
delivered here I will make sure to try without giving up we need someone who will
take of this house and Hugo while we look for this person who has pure blood”.
He nodded.

George: “Hugo is very lucky to have friends like you I owe you my life you have
been here for my grandson you never left his side thank you Leon”. His voice was
shaking.

Leon: “We will never leave his side he would do the same if I was in that bed”.
They nodded talking for a while. Leon had fate that they will find someone.
CHAPTER 2

CASSIE JUVERN

I did not sleep a wink yesterday I just don’t understand what has been happening
to me. I can’t even tell my brother he will never believe me. I’m even scared of
going back to the Thompson mansion something about that house creeps me
out because all of this started while I was there. I will have to resign today
because I don’t think I will survive another day working in that house yes they pay
us good money but I value my life more than anything. My brother is already gone
for work now I have to go bath and get ready but I’m scared of going to the
bathroom because of what happened yesterday I pace up and down if I don’t
bath I will be late. I walk to my bathroom opening my door. I open the water doing
everything I soak my body then start scrubbing myself I’m doing I fast I just want
to quickly leave before anything strange or scary happens. I walk out lotion my
body getting dressed I quickly walked out going to the bus stop. I wait for a while
then it arrives we get inside sit down it pick up Juliet she waves at me. Rose sit
next to me. Malia and Ella get inside they sit together.

Rose: “Today is blazing hot we will work like slaves in that house I fear”. I know
what she is referring. Maria Tate our manager is coming back today she was gone
because of family issues.

Me: “I know I don’t even feel like working today”. She sighed.

Rose: “You were not fine yesterday are you alright?”. Her voice was concerned I
could hear it.

Me: “I’m alright Rose let’s go we have arrived”. We walked out then walk to the
house. There are cars outside we look at each other.

Malia: “Do we have guests?”. We shrug. We are confused because we only saw
the Thompson when they hired us they told us how they have busy schedules
and in the day we will not see them but they are always back in the house at
night. When we heard that we were confused but we let it be. The house is
always not cleaned in the morning they make sure to make work for us even in
their bedroom everything is just messy. We walk inside Maria is standing in the
lounge area clearly waiting for us. Her face is blank.

Maria: “So this is the time to arrive at work?”. We glanced at each other
confused.

Juliet: “But Ma’am we are not late we just arrived in time”. She is right we are not
late.

Rose: “Maybe you forgot the time schedule it was changed by Alex he said we
can’t keep coming this early so he changed it”. She does not look on convinced.

Ella: “You did not know about that maybe they forgot to tell you they have been
busy lately”. She sighed.

Maria: “Maybe they did not don’t stand there go do your duties”. We hurry off to
the changing room and change to our work uniform. I start by cleaning Alex room
he is untidy this one why is his room always this dirty. I start by cleaning
everything, sweeping the floor, opening the curtains, arranging his bed neatly. I
sit down when I’m done I don’t think I want to continue working here.

“LET ME IN”. I hear a bold voice I jump quickly I even felt a hot breath on my
neck what is happening here. I’m shivering I feel like something bad is happening
to me. I quickly walk out closing the door. I think I believe the rumours now I can’t
explain what is happening to me. I don’t even think they ladies I work with will
believe me but I need to tell them. I get inside the kitchen I sigh finding all of
them eating. It’s not lunch time why are they eating?. Maria better not caught
them. I walk to hem sitting down next to Juliet.

Me: “Ladies I need to tell you something”. Thy glanced at me. “Something weird
and strange is happening to me firstly I was…….”. I narrate everything that has
happened to me to this moment they are looking at me like they are seeing a
ghost.

Rose: “Your story sounds exactly like Shelley, you guys remember her she went
missing after she complained to Madam Elizabeth about the strange things she
has been seeing apparently they fired her then after two days she went missing”.
She is glancing as if she is giving me a warning.

Juliet: “So Cassie you don’t mention this to anyone unless you want to be
disappear”. My mouth is wide open I can’t believe this I need to keep my mouth
shut if I want to live.

Me: “Alright I won’t tell anyone”. They nodded giving back to eating. I don’t think I
can keep working here if I continue I will go insane. I notice Maria standing at the
door the ladies do not see her. “Ma’am”. They all jump Juliet even broke the bowl
she eating on I wanted to laugh but I held myself.

Maria: “Why are you eating at this time is it lunch already?”. They glanced down.
“I’m asking a question have you done your chores”. We nodded. I gasped seeing
Carol walking inside the room.

Me: “Miss Carol”. I warn the others they all glanced at her. She looks beautiful
she smile at us.

Carol: “I’m glad I found you all here my Mom sent me here to announce
something very important”. I can see the ladies are anxious hearing he say that
I’m not anxious I want to hear it. “We need to let one of you go”. We frown but I
smile a little this can’t be a coincidence right? I was about to resign today but
they made my job easy. The ladies are whispering I can see they are scared.

Juliet: “I don’t understand ma’am what did we do?”. She is a scared her voice is
shaking.

Carol: “Look I don’t know much but my Mom told me tell you that one of you has
to leave because you are many and only four people are needed”.

Juliet: “Then that means the person who got here last should leave I can’t lose
my job I’m not leaving”. I chuckle they glanced at me I knew they would say this
but only if they know I was about to leave anyway.

Me: “You don’t need to say it Juliet I know I was the last one, and thank your Mom
for me miss Carol I was going to resign today so you just made things easy for
me”. They all gasped I smile.
Carol: “Why were you going to resign if I may ask?”. They are looking at me.

Me: “I just wanted to stay home for a while a lot has been happening in my life
lately so that is why I wanted to leave”. She nodded.

Rose: “But you never mentioned that to us”. I nod.

Me: “I was not going too Rose I can already see I don’t have friends so if that’s all
good luck ladies I’m leaving”. I went out taking my bag from the changing room
them walked out I did it even bid them goodbye they are not my friends and I
won’t be seeing them. I lied about taking some time to myself. I don’t like staying
home and doing nothing. I will have to find another job other than working in the
Thompson family. I wait for the bus to arrive a car stops a guy walks out holding
something he smile at me I return it. He is holding posters he put them behind
me in the bus shelter he walks back in his car driving off. Why is the bus not here
yet?. I sit down a bit pressing my phone someone joins me she glanced behind
me.

Lady: “Oh my goodness the Weston family are looking for someone who can
clean, cook and do everything but I can’t go there I’m already leaving town the
amount they pay is huge”. She says as if she wants everyone here to hear her I
stand up glancing at the poster and yes she is right who are the Weston family?.
This is the first time hearing this family. I take the poster putting it inside my bag
will have to go here tomorrow because I can’t go today I need to tell my brother
first. Finally the bus arrives I hop inside sitting down. I just hope nothing scary
happens today I don’t even want to sit near the window I’m still frightened about
what happened that day. I watch everyone hop out on their destination nothing
has happened so far my fingers are crossed. My turn comes I quickly hop out
walking to the house I don’t waste time I open the door it my neighbour Anna
shouts at me. I turn back glancing at her.

Anna: “Hello Cassie why are you back early today?”. Does she spy on me why
does she know I’m back early? I let that pass smiling at her she is older than me.
I respect older people than me.

Me: “Something came up so I left early”. She nod smiling she was watering her
flowers. I smile back getting inside the house. I exhale loud then went to my
room. Let me sleep first I’ll have to wake up and cook so that my brother can
come back home without thinking that he will cook again. I get under the sheet
dozing off.

NARRATED

Leon parked outside walking in he was in deep thoughts he went to the lounge
he surprised to see Toby sitting with George. He joins them.

George: “How did it go did you find anyone?”. He shook his head.

Leon: “I think it is too early to find someone let’s wait”. He gulps his drink. “And
you why are here?”. Toby chuckled.

Toby: “Wow am I not welcome in this beautiful house anymore”. They laughed.
George: “I was also surprised when I saw him come in he is always busy”. He
nodded.
Toby: “Yes grandpa I have been busy I’m still angry at the Thompson family do
you know I cancelled their contract that was supposed to be given to them by my
uncle he was not aware about what they did so I told him everything he was so
mad you should have seen his face”. His veins were visible.

Leon: “Alright calm down the person we can see that is mad is you so calm down
man”. He was breathing hard.

George: “Hugo will be fine Toby he does not need to see you like this”. His
breathing was now normal.

Toby: “I just hate this I can’t watch him in pain she said it that we will never find
her every person we try to find she always beat us to it I even wish my
grandmother was alive she would have helped us with this”. He deeply sighed.

Leon: “Look man we will find that person what we need now is to find someone
to take care of the house while we search for this person who can save his
thoughts”. He nodded.

George: “We can’t lose hope boys we need to search harder”.

Leon: “He is dying slowly that curse is eating him slowly grandpa I can’t watch
him like that”. He glanced down.

Toby: “Man that witch knew exactly what she did if we don’t find anything she will
be happy let’s not make be rejoice in at our misery”. They nod. Leon phone rang
he picked it up. He put it speaker.

Leon: “Hello Leon speaking”. The voice cleared it’s throat.

Caller: “Uhmm Hello I saw the poster is the job available?”. They jump happily.

Leon: “Yes of cause it is when do you want to start”.

Caller: “As soon as possible I don’t think I can stay home without doing anything
how about tomorrow?”. They were smiling.
Leon: “Yes of course tomorrow is perfectly fine thank you so much”. She
chuckled.

Caller: “No thank you Mr you just saved me”. They laughed.

Leon: “You saved us too see you tomorrow”. They dropped looking at each other
smiling.

Toby: “I’m so happy man now we can focus on finding the pure blood”. They
nodded.

Leon: “Tomorrow we will start again the search but how will we find her because
grandma Lucia was the only one who could direct to the right destination”. He
sighed deeply.

George: “You are right she is very weak at the moment we can’t let her work again
we just told her to rest this will be hard but we have to try”.

Leon: “Yes we will find a way Toby let Rodney know we found the person who will
be working here he should finalize everything for her I’m talking about her
payment I will go prepare her room”. They nodded he went to the guest room.
Toby then called Rodney.

Meanwhile in the Juvern house Cassie was in the kitchen cooking she just
finished calling the person who was working for a lady to work. She was hesitant
thinking that someone else might have called first but she was happy when they
told her the job is still available. Her brother was not back yet. Nothing scary
happened today she w glad about only that. She does not know how her brother
will react finding out that she will be working. He finally arrives looking tired

Cassie: “You look terrible”. He sit down.

Conan: “You are back early”. She nodded.

Cassie: “Actually I resigned”. Eyes widened he gaped at her as if she will say she
is joking.

Conan: “Cassie you’re serious why?”. She shrug her shoulders. She did not know
if he would believe her. “Cassie say something why are you quiet”. She cleared
her throat.

Cassie: “Look brother a lot has happened in these past days I was quiet about it
because I thought you would not believe me just like I did not believe those
rumours but this is what happened to me…….”. She told her everything just like
she did to the ladies he was listening to her every word when she was done he
was blinking a lot. She glanced at him. “You see you don’t believe me”. He shook
his head.

Conan: “I believe you I met Shelley she told us everything just like what you told
me and we did not believe her she was even crying I regret myself for not
listening to her now she is gone”. Cassie clapped her mouth close.

Cassie: “What do you mean she is gone?”. He glanced down.

Conan: “We found her body dumped near some old house we questioned every
residents there they saw nothing so we figured someone dumped her body late
night she—she was pale Iike something sucked her blood out”. She gasped loud.

Cassie: “Oh my goodness Conan what is happening in this town this rumour of a
cult it is true right?”. She wiped her eyes.

Conan: “Yes I guess it is true so what will you do now stay home”. She chuckled.
Cassie: “That would please you right well sorry brother I’m leaving tomorrow I
found a job which pays good please accompany me to that family”. He frowned.

Conan: “Accompany you when? Have I ever did that can’t you go on your own?”.
She scoffs at him.

Cassie: “I’m going with my belongings Conan it is a stay in job please I can’t go
on my own”. He was puzzled.

Conan: “What?....so I will be staying alone in this huge house?”. She nodded.

Cassie: “You can bring Tom to stay here while I’m gone I won’t let this
opportunity pass me”. He roll his eyes.

Conan: “Fine I’ll talk to him so what family is that?”.

Cassie: “The Weston family never heard of them”. He gasped like he saw ghost.
“What? Do you know them?”. He nodded.

Conan: “I heard stories about them I don’t know if it is true they said their
youngest son was cursed by some lady but I doubt it’s true”. She sigh nodding.

Cassie: “So this is my last meal I’m cooking for you”. He groaned. She laughed.
“Since Tom will be staying you can cook for him and he is cook for you too I know
him”. He groaned again.

Conan: “Why do you talk as if you know Tom damn we are partners Cassie we
only work together stop over thinking things”. She raised her hands in surrender.
She continue cooking while he went to his room and took a shower. When she
finished she walked to her room then began packing for tomorrow. She never
thought she would agree for a stay in job but if it means not being home and
working then she was happy.
CHAPTER 3

NARRATED

Cassie spent so much time with her brother yesterday they even watch a movie
together. He was telling her about all the things she would do when she was
young they lost their parents in a car accident they have been together ever
since. He appreciates having him around. Today she was going away for some
months to a house she does not what is happening inside but as long as she will
be working and sending money to her brother even though she knows he would it
need her too as he has his own money that is why he did not want her to work.
She was already done packing. She made breakfast and included a third person.
Her brother walked out of his room coming to the kitchen he peek her cheek.

Conan: “Damn I will miss your food whoever will be eating your food at that
house is blessed”. She smile he glance at the table then frown. “Cassie why do
we have three bowls on the table?”. She chuckled.

Cassie: “We have a guest did you really think I will go with without saying
goodbye to Tom”. Conan huff looking at his sister.

Conan: “Are you in love with my colleague Cassie if you are I’ll kill both of you
stay away from Tom he is not for you”. She burst out laughing. “Don’t laugh I’m
dead serious Cassie any man who dares touches you will feel my wrath”. She
continue laughing hard this time.

Cassie: “I’m sorry for laughing but your face was funny, and don’t worry no one
will touch me but I want both of you to drive me to the Weston house so stop
complaining about Tom he will arrive in no time”.

Conan: “Fine I won’t say anything are you done?”. She nodded taking the glasses.
The door bell rang he went to open Tom was holding flowers he groaned shaking
his head. “Really man you bought flowers wow”. He moved aside letting him in
he walked inside giving Cassie the flowers she smiled happily.
Tom: “Don’t mind your grumpy brother he is always like this so you are really
leaving”. She nodded placing the flowers on the big vase.

Cassie: “I will miss this house”. She made a sad face.

Conan: “If you will miss it then don’t go stop giving us that haggard face”. She
gaped at him.

Cassie: “My face is not haggard it’s sad you clearly can’t read someone else’s
face”. They laugh.

Tom: “it smells good Cassie anyway you have a nosy neighbour she shouted at
me asking me what I was doing here”. They share a laugh.

Conan: “That’s Anna she is always asking something it seems like she does not
know much and can’t recognise people clearly maybe her eyesight is bad
because you have been coming for a while”. They nod.

Tom: “Does she have a husband?”.

Cassie: “No her husband died but she stays with her son”. He nod.

Tom: “That is good there is someone who can take care of her”. He smiled. They
begin eating. Cassie washed the dishes placing them on their places then went
to her room getting her bags.

Conan: “Wow, you really can’t wait to leave me I see”. They laughed.

Cassie: “You know that’s not true I will miss you so much you are my life and
please Tom take care of him he sometimes skip food”. Tom nodded.

Tom: “Don’t worry he is in good hands”. She smile hugging her brother they
stayed like that for a while then pulled back. “That was a long hug”. She laughs
hugging him too. They walked out they put her bags inside the car then drove off.
Their destination is not that long they arrive at the mansion.

Cassie: “Oh my goodness look at this house I can’t believe I will be living in this
beautiful mansion even the Thompson mansion has nothing on this”. They laugh.
Tom: “Really Cassie you comparing mansion’s now”. She nodded. They carried
her bags near the door but Conan phone rang he went to answer it.

Cassie: “Press the bell”. He glanced at her.

Tom: “Why me you should be the one pressing it”. She shrug her shoulders he
chuckled. Conan came back looking like he just saw a ghost. “Conan what is
wrong?”.

Conan: “We have to go man they found another body”. They gasped.

Cassie: “What?”. She looks frightened.

Conan: “I’m sorry I can’t go inside with you but at least we know you will be living
here we will make sure to visit alright”. She nodded he kissed her forehead.

Tom: “Let me do this for you”. He pressed the bell then hugged her running back
to the car. The door swing open she was watching the car as it drove away. She
heavily sighed a voice cleared it’s throat she turn smiling a little.

Leon: “Hello you may come in let me help you with your bags”. She nodded
smiling she walks inside glancing around she admire the house.

Cassie: “You have such an amazing house how rich are you?”. She glance at him
he chuckled.

Leon: “This is my friend’s house you will meet him later on let me show you your
room then we will have a tour”. She was smiling full of life he chuckled again. He
was thinking about how she would react when she sees Hugo will she stay or
leave?. They laugh question will be answered when they show her Hugo. They
walk inside her room she gasped.

Cassie: “Look my room at home look nothing like this one I’m usually shy but my
shyness is gone I don’t know why”. They laughed. He place her bags down then
lead her outside. They walked around the house showing her everything she
needed to know about. She was smiling and listening attentively. He would smile
too. George got out of his room he frowned seeing them.
George: “Leon is this the lady who called?”. Leon smile.

Leon: “Yes grandpa meet Cassie Juvern”. He nodded walking to them he

handshake her.

George: “Nice meeting you Cassie thank you for coming I’m George Weston the
man of the house”. She smile.

Cassie: “I heard Mr Leon calling you grandpa you don’t look like a grandpa”. They
laugh.

George: “I have told them not to call me that but they don’t want to stop so I let it
be”.

Leon: “We won’t stop and Cassie call me Leon please”. She nodded.

George: “Alright you can continue with what you were doing but Leon call me
when you are ready to go inside Hugo’s room Toby and Rodney are on their way”.
He nodded while Cassie frown who was this Hugo and why did they have to enter
a room?. She shook her head letting the thoughts go. The walk to the other
rooms he showed her everything about the house then lastly the kitchen.

Leon: “This is our last room where all good things come together I hope we will
enjoy your food Cassie”. She smile.

Cassie: “Trust me you won’t regret it I’ll cook the most delicious food you have
eve taste”.

Leon: “I will be counting on that let’s go to he lounge there are two people you
will have to meet they are coming”. She shook her head he frowned.

Cassie: “You go I have to unpack my clothes then when the people have arrived
you will call me”. He faintly smile. She walked out to he room. He sighed he did
not want her unpack yet what if she does not agree in taking care of Hugo then
what she will have to pack again. This is what he feared the most.
Cassie unpacked everything in her bags making sure her clothes are neatly
folded she sat down on the bed her phone rang it was her brother.

Cassie: “Hey how did it go”. He sighed.

Conan: “I don’t know anymore Cassie we found another body that was missing I
just don’t know what to do where do these bodies come from this is too much”.
She got worried because she has never heard her brother sound this worried this
was draining him.

Cassie: “I’m sorry to hear that brother but don’t give up you will find the
perpetrator believe in yourself I don’t like hearing you talk like that”.

Conan: “Alright I’ll do that so how is everything there?”

Cassie: “I’m in my room you should see it brother it looks amazing the house is
out of this world the people here are also lovely I think I will like it here”. He
chuckled.

Conan: “Tell me if something changes alright I’ll come pick it you up I don’t want
anyone mistreating you”. She smile.

Cassie: “Alright but relax nothing like that will happen they don’t look like bad
people”. He sighed.

Conan: “If you say so I trust your words”. She nodded as if he can see her.

Cassie: “uhm did you talk to Tom about moving”. He groans.

Conan: “Yes I did but he said he will think about it so we have to wait for him”.

Cassie: “I think he will agree so don’t worry about a thing”.

Conan: “I will check up on you later alright I have to go”. She smile. They hang up.
Meanwhile in the lounge Rodney and Toby just arrived they found George and
Leon waiting for them. They glanced at them as they looked anxious.

Toby: “Alright what is going on why are you faces like that?”. They heavily sighed.

Leon: “The lady is here man and I wanted her to wait here to meet you but she
insisted on going to unpack her clothes but I got worried because she has not
seen Hugo so what if she decides to not take this job”. They nodded.

Rodney: “Man what will we do if she does not take it because that will mean
everyone who wants this job will not take it why they see Hugo”.

Toby: “Alright let’s just stop speculating maybe she won’t have any problem
when she sees him but Leon how is she?”.

Leon: “In terms of what?”. He eyed him.

Toby: “Beauty man why are you slow?”. They laughed.

Leon: “Shut up Toby what if she hears you but yes she is beautiful and she is here
to work don’t check her out”.

George: “Yes let’s not make her uncomfortable she needs to feel at home please
I just hope and pray she does not leave she is our only hope because we have to
search for the person with pure blood”. They all nodded.

Leon: “I told her I’ll call her when you guys get here”. He stood up walking to her
room. He knocked she open for him smiling. “Are you done unpacking we are
waiting for you?”. She nod.

Cassie: “Yes we can go”. They walk to the lounge Toby and Rodney stands up
seeing the approach.

Toby: “Hello nice to meet you I’m Toby Argent”. She nod smiling.

Rodney: “I’m Rodney Packer nice meeting you”. She nod again.

Cassie: “It’s a pleasure to meet you I’m Cassie Juvern”. They nod.
George: “I hope Leon told you what you will be doing here but there is another
part we never mentioned even on the poster”. She was puzzled but nodded.

Cassie: “I don’t see a problem you can tell me about it”. They cleared their
throats making her anxious and nervous.

Toby: “uhm we—we rather show you”. She got more scared now which was
something she did not want to happen. She slowly nodded.

George: “uhm don’t be afraid we won’t hurt you let’s go show you”. They walk
upstairs to Hugo’s room Toby open the door they got inside. She felt like the
world stopped moving. Her breath hitched as she clapped her hand on her
mouth. She gasped as if she sees a ghost. She start feeling shivers down her
body, and her body instantly goes hot. She gaze at the man on the bed who’s
face looks badly hurt and almost unrecognisable. She fights the tears from
coming out ——wait why would she cry for someone she does not know?. They
watch her reaction scared that she might run outside of the room.

Cassie: “What happened to him?”. Her voice was shaking she did not even
recognise it. She startled them they did it expect her to ask that.

George: “A witch cursed him on his birthday he ended up like this she told us to
find someone with pure blood if we found that person then my grandson will be
out of this unbearable pain and will be saved”. He said, his voice shaking with
fury. Cassie felt dizzy now, her breaths growing only faster, more labored.

Toby: “uhm Cassie please breathe just breathe in and out”. She did as told she
did not know why she was reacting like this it is as if she knows this man lying on
the bed.

Cassie: “Have you found the person?”. They shook their heads. She deeply
sighed looking down.

Rodney: “We thought you were going to leave and not take this job we were
afraidof showing you Hugo”. She glance at him frowning.

Cassie: “His name is Hugo?”. He nodded.

Leon: “We have not found the person that is why we needed someone who will
do everything in the house while we continue our search so please Cassie don’t
decline”. She chuckled wiping her tears yes she was already crying.

Cassie: “Why would I decline Leon look at me I’m already crying for a man I have
never met I accept the job”. They sigh in relief.

George: “Thank you so much Cassie I know my wife will be happy when she sees
you”. She smile. She slowly glanced at Hugo moving to his bed she sat next to
him body. He was in deep sleep. She touched his hand.

Cassie: “Hello my name is Cassie and I heard yours is Hugo, I will be in charge of
taking care of you so please treat me well don’t turn on me when you are healed
even though we meet under difficult circumstances but I hope we will get along”.
They gasped when she finished she stare at them.

Toby: “Whooah I don’t know if he heard you but he can go to sleep for days he
does not speak even his eyes are half open he can’t see a person well he is
getting worse each day Cassie”. Her eyes burned with tears as he spoke. She
moved back fighting her tears.

Cassie: “I pray you find that person I can see you are worried about your friend’s
condition but I will be here for him go and find that person don’t stop until you
find her”. They were puzzled by this.

Rodney: “Why did you say ‘her’ because that witch was not specific if it was a girl
or a boy”. She glanced at them in disbelief.

Cassie: “I don’t know much about witches and spells but what I know is that he
can only be saved by a pure person who is a woman not a man”. They frowned.
“You still don’t get it what I’m saying is that it can be someone who was meant
for him, someone who can share a connection with him, someone who can
became his lover at the end they can never be apart”. They blink the room was
silent for a while they steal glances at each other.

George: “So the person we should be looking for is a girl?”. Cassie nodded.
Cassie: “I have to ask this how will you find her?”. They glanced at each other not
knowing what to say.

George: “My wife who is now sick and is resting was the one who would tell us
which way to go for us to find the person but now it would be very hard we can’t
just take any girl we see”. She nodded.

Cassie: “I’m sorry to hear that about your wife but I don’t have any solution for
this because you can’t just take any girl just like you said that would be
considered as kidnapping”. They nod.

Rodney: “We can’t do that what the hell will we do”. They deeply sighed she was
watching them she saw this was hard for them.

Leon: “Uhmm we all figure it out don’t worry Cassie let me show you your time
schedule”. They walk out leaving the three still standing the room.

Toby: “I don’t think we will find her we can’t do this with granny Lucia”. He sighed
deeply.

George: “I agree with you if we don’t have Lucia we can’t find her”. Rodney
glanced at Hugo’s body.

Rodney: “We can’t give up look at him he needs to be healed”. They all glanced
at Hugo’s body nodding. They walked out.

When Leon was done showing Cassie her time schedule he went to the others
while she walked to her room. She called her brother but it rings unanswered.
She sighed he is probably busy now that they found another body. She wonder
how many bodies will be found and who is killing these people. She lay down on
her back.

“Don’t do it Cassie”. Eyes widen hearing a voice he same voice that has been
whispering to her. She sit up straight breathing heavily. It is back she thought it
was gone but it is back why——why now she will not obey it. She shakes her
head pushing it away. Whoever it is that is trying to play with her head needs to
stop.
CHAPTER 4

NARRATED

AT THE THOMPSON HOUSE

The house is quiet no one other than them are inside. It is late at night they all
walk to the secret basement wearing black gowns. Elizabeth draws a satanic
symbol on the table she cut her palm dropping blood on the symbol Victor, Alex
and Carol are holding red candles chanting a demonic song. They feel the room
getting cold then Elizabeth groans chanting louder she takes the knife on the
other table and a glass that has a person’s heart she keeps dancing chanting
slowly holding glass. She opens the glass taking the heart out. She smile holding
the heart the blood that was on the symbol has disappeared.

Eliza: “The devil accept our offering”. They laugh loud. She put he heart down at
the centre of the satanic symbol she stabs it twice then she put the knife away
they now have their glass on their hands she drops the blood on each glass they
all drink the blood she also drinks it then out she put the heart back on the
symbol then they start to move in circle clapping their hands chanting demonic
songs the room went cold again the heart disappeared from the table they
stopped when it was done.

“She is inside the Weston house……blood we want is inside the Weston house”.
A deep voice echoed in the room she shivers hearing it. They stare at each other.

Victor: “How could they have found her so quickly?”.

Carol: “It can’t be true it is not possible who could it be”. Elizabeth went to take a
big bowl that was filled with black water she poured a little drop of her blood
inside.

Eliza: “The candle’s”. They helped her the candle’s surrounded the bowl. “Chahæ
cæœ mazelœ satan mëliœ ahhh aœ veoœ”. She called out demonic chant her
eyes wide open they turned white she was shaking the voice echoed again.

“Cassie Juvern bring her to me”. She stops shaking breathing heavily. She was
caught by Victor when she was about to fall. They all got shivers when the voice
speaks they are afraid of it they walked out making way to her room they lay her
down.

Alex: “Why is Cassie in the Weston house?”. They never told him that they got rid
of one servant. They are also not aware that Cassie was the girl they were looking
for.

Carol: “We had to get rid of one servant Alex but Cassie told me she was going to
resign that day so we let her go she gave us reasons that something was
happening in her life and she needed break so we did not know she was the one
we had to find why now?”. She glanced at her mother who shook her head.

Victor: “If the devil knew all along that Cassie was the one the why did it wait for
her to leave before telling us”. They nodded.

Eliza: “I don’t know what is happening to but you heard what it said we need to go
get that girl back”.

Alex: “But Mom how will we get to her?”. They thought for a moment.

Carol: “I still have her telephone numbers what if I call her to meet up with me
then Mom you have to make something that will blind her into coming with me”.
They stare at her.

Victor: “My baby girl you have grown what a perfect idea”. She smile.

Eliza: “I will make something for you make certain that you convince her to meet
up with you”. She nodded.
Alex: “If it is really her then Hugo will never survive I bet they don’t know that she
is the one because if they did know then they would have done the ritual
already”. Their mother nod.

Victor: “Yes if they did the ritual we would have know by now”.

Carol: “I agree so that is why we need to move fast if we get her then will be
untouchable we have been looking for her for so long now that we found her we
can’t let her go”. They nod.

Alex: “Yes we can’t let this opportunity go like that she needs to here I can’t
believe she was right under our nose all this time and we did not know about
her”. He was furious.

Eliza: “Calm down Alex everything will work out”.

He nodded. She smile at him.

Victor: “Alright then we will wait for you Carol get some rest my love”. She
nodded they walked out of there room.

WESTON HOUSE

Cassie was done getting ready to work. She walked out of the room then went to
make breakfast. She was hoping that they find the girl who was going to save
Hugo. About the voice that kept speaking to her she never talk back with it. This
time she is not scared when hearing it she just does not mind it any more. She
made breakfast then prepared the table they have started with their search she
would ask them. She walks back to her room. She had texted her brother telling
him about how she has settled they called each other she decided to put her
phone on ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode because today is her first day working so she
did not want to be disturbed. She walks out finding Leon and George on the
table she smile at them.

Leon: “Good morning join us we can’t alone Rodney and Toby will here in a
minute”. She shook her head.

Cassie : “Good morning I’m sorry I can’t join you as I have already eaten my
breakfast and I have to take care of Mr Weston”. George chuckled.

George: “My dear I am Mr Weston I know Hugo will hate it of he hears you calling
him that please call him Hugo or Dimitri”. She smile. Toby walked inside followed
by Rodney she glanced at them she sees the beauty in these man.

“Morning Cassie”. They said in one motion. She nodded.

Cassie: “I have to go uhm I wanted to ask about the search but I won’t ask now
enjoy your breakfast”. She quickly went to Hugo’s room. They dig in eating.

Rodney: “We did not find another yesterday and I apologize for saying this but I’m
slowly losing hope”. The sigh.

Leon: “We need to granny Lucia we can’t do this without her if she is here it will
be easy for us to locate the girl”. George knew that they were right if they don’t
get Lucia then they will search for nothing.

George: “I will try---my best but I don’t promise anything”. They nodded.

Toby: “We know this is hard for you but we need to be strong for Hugo right he
needs us damn if I get my hands on Elizabeth that evil family of hers I’ll tear them
into pieces”. They stare at him he is the type to not get angry that easily this
surprises them.

Rodney: “Whooah man calm down we know you’ll do so just breathe”. He did as
told.

Leon: “I’ve never seen you angry Toby this is the first time”. He chuckles.
George: “He is scaring us”. They laugh. They continue to eat laughing at Toby.
Cassie has a big bowl besides Hugo’s bed the cloth is on her hands she is
shaking but tries to calm herself down. She breathe in and out then unbuttoned
his shirt going down she opens it revealing his body. She gasped seeing his bare
chest she blinks moving the cloth t his face wiping him softly she goes down to
his neck then soaks the cloth again wiping his chest the door swing open Leon
walked in he watches Cassie who hymn a song that her mother used to sing for
her.

Leon: “That was beautiful can you sing?”. She got startled hearing his voice she
did not even hear him enter.

Cassie: “Yes are you here to help me?”. He nodded.

Leon: “I will be in charge of cleaning him his lower body so can do your other
chores”. She smile walking out. She went to the laundry room and started doing
the laundry she left the room walking to the lounge she walked around looking at
some family photos she saw this one there’s a man and a woman with a boy she
wonders if this is Hugo.

George: “Yes that is him but he was only thirteen years”. She turned the photo
frame was in her hand she out it back.

Cassie: “Are his parents alive?”. He shook his head.

George: “His father divorce his mother she got half of his things but she was
angry upon hearing that everything is under Hugo’s name so she left him with his
father she has never visited for once she basically hate her own son for inheriting
his fathers businesses, properties everything is under his name”. Her jaw left her.

Cassie: “How can a mother do that he must have be shattered”. He nod.

George: “He cried till one day he never shed a tear when his father died he cried
when we told him the news but after that he never did that woman messed up
with my grandson he never showed his feelings fearing that they will leave too
even now I know he feared his friends would leave him but they did not do such
the boy’s stayed and did everything for him he has himself amazing friends who
turned out to be his own brothers”. She nodded smiling.

Cassie: “I have a big brother he is a detective his name is Conan you will meet
him soon actually he doesn’t like it when I work he believes he should provide for
me but I think otherwise we lost our parents in a car accident and from then we
only had each other”. She saw his reaction he was feeling sorry for her. She
smiled.

George: “I know how it feels losing someone you loved my son was my
everything but I’m happy he left behind Hugo who looks exactly like him
whenever I glance at Hugo I feel like I’m looking at my son”. She blinked this man
was broken she wonder how Hugo looked because now his face is hideous.

Cassie: “I wish he could wake up I’m curious of how he looked but I can tell from
his body that he is a handsome man”. She looked down saying that to the man
who is Hugo’s grandpa made her shy.

George: “He is very handsome he hold so much power he looks like someone
who is rude but he is never rude you would be surprise too when get to know
him”. Now this made her really curious she wished to know more about Hugo but
she remembers the laundry.

Cassie: “I really want to know more about him but I have to go back I was doing
laundry”. He nodded.

George: “We have time my dear sorry for keeping you”. She smile walking away.
He went to the photo frame of Hugo and his parents. “Harmony if ever you come
back to claim Hugo just know that you won’t find the small Hugo our once left I
have a feeling you will show up anytime and I’m ready for you”. He put the frame
down. He walks to his room.

Cassie was finally done with the laundry she walked back to her room she took
her phone looking for the time then put it back in the drawer. She had done
anything in the house she jumps remembering something.

Cassie: “I’m not disgusting by Hugo I will never judge other people in their pain
what if that was my brother and I know I’m the only one who agreed to this job
other people would have ran off but I have a heart and a brother so why don’t I go
and spend time with Hugo he might be lonely and need someone who can talk
to…not to talk to but hearing someone’s voice might be good…..yeah let me do
that”.

“NO DON’T DO THAT”. The room went cold the voice sounded angry the back of
hair stand she got worried about why does this voice not want her to do this. She
smirk running quickly out of her room startled Toby who was pouring water in the
kitchen. He was frightened.

Toby: “You scared me why are you running is someone chasing you out of your
room?”. She exhale loud shaking her head.

Cassie: “Nothing……don’t mind me I will be in Hugo’s room I feel like he needs

some company bye”. She rushes to Hugo’s room leaving him astonished.

Toby: “Uhmm what just happened is she going to spend time with Hugo?”. He
asked himself he was stunned. “Wow I’m speechless”. He walked out of the
kitchen.

Cassie entered the room she takes a chair placing it next to his bed she sit down
he is wearing new clothes she glance at his arms they are huge but this confuses
her if the curse is eating him slowly why is he not losing weight she frowned.

Cassie: “uhm Hello again it is me Cassie I think you can remember me….if you
don’t then I feel sorry for you….oh my goodness what am I saying”. She clapped
her mouth shut. She suddenly touches her chest something strange happens
her heartbeat is beating so fast she gasped panicking. “I don’t want to die I’m not
ready to die…..I won’t die without seeing this man face….breathe Cassie breathe
remember what Mom told you….close your eyes and picture something that
makes you happy….”. She finally calms down letting out a slow breath. “I’m sorry
I know you probably puzzled about what just happened I’m fine I was having a
panic attack which I don’t know why it happened they stopped when I lost my
parents my Mom was the only one who could calm me down”. She fought a force
that wanted to touch his hand she slowly moved her hand to his hand but
stopped when the voice echoed again.
“DON’T TOUCH HIM HE IS NOT YOURS”. Her eyes widened hearing this some
how it stings on her heart. She reminded herself she was not to listen to the
voice of darkness she never wants to associate herself with evil things so she
does not listen to it. She quickly touch his hand squeezing it. She hears the voice
groans loud so the voice is somehow connected to Hugo or it is just her
imagination. She plays with his hand not knowing why she is doing this.

Cassie: “uhm I don’t know if you heard that devil of a voice telling me not to
touch you but I did I won’t listen to whomever it is it won’t control me but
well…your hand is rough…and cute….oh my goodness I meant—clean…if Leon
walks inside here and sees me holding then consider my job gone”. She sighed
squeezing his hand she does not know why she is not letting go of his hand but
something in her does not want to. “What if I stroke….no my goodness not stroke
your hair but I want to you have beautiful hair it looks soft can I stroke it?”. She
ask then blinks remembering that he can’t speak she gasped shaking her head.
“Cassie you will lose your job for real stop being dumb uhm…sorry Hugo but
forgive me again I will stroke your hair without your permission and if you happen
to wake up please don’t mention what I did”. She sat near his body then started
stroking his hair softly massaging his scalp in a tenderly way. She smile at her
doing she prays no one walks in because she is sitting right next to his body.
What will they think. “Your friends are working hard to find your destined girl
someone who will help you get off this bed and when they find her I will no longer
be needed here”. She flushed at her words they somehow stabs her own heart.
“If I lose my job then where will I be hired Ahh I don’t think I will survive please
when you wake up tell your lover to not fire me I really need this job”. She begs as
if he will answer her. “I feel sad seeing your grandfather and your friends faces as
they huff loud knowing that they have not found your lover”. Lover…….she
should stop addressing the girl needed as his lover. “Not your lover but as—as

what you did most I truly repulse the person who put a curse on you”. She was
stroking his hair softly her other hand was still squeezing his hand. “I know few

to taste my food bye”. She quickly walks out going to her room she fell on the bed
closing.

Meanwhile this happens Hugo felt everything Cassie did her touch which burnt
his body the soft strokes she gave him while massaging his hair made him want
to wake up and see this her who was igniting his fire. He heard everything she
said. “if Leon walks inside here and sees me holding you then consider my job

fingers nor his feet he has little time left he won’t stay like this forever somehow
he will eventually die due to not finding blood that is pure. He also says Cassie’s
words that he can’t die without seeing her he has to fight this and see Cassie if
he dies without seeing her then the world is a cruel place to live on. He also
wants to eat her food as she did told him “so you should hurry up and wake up if
you want to taste my food bye”. This is the reason he needs to wake up to taste
her food.
THOMPSON HOUSE

Carol paced in her room she has called Cassie’s phone but it does not go
through she screams frustrated if they don’t get to her then everything will be
ruined. She tries again but nothing she bite her lower in anger. She exhale then
walked out going to the lounge there is fine now she joins them. Alex walks inside
putting the car keys and some documents on the table.

Carol: “Mom Dad I can’t get hold of Cassie her phone does not even go through”.
They glance at her.

Alex: “Please tell this is a joke what do you mean?”. He yells.

Carol: “Stop yelling will you I’m also frustrated here I’ve tried many times it’s not
working”. Alex huffs.

Victor: “This is not good what will we do now because it wants her she is the only
one with pure blood “. Elizabeth was in deep thoughts.

Alex: “And what is worse is that we can’t step inside that house because the
curse will be broken if we do”. They sighed.

Eliza: “We need to find someone who will get inside and be friends with Cassie
that person must lure her to us”.

Carol: “How will we find that person Mom?”. Her Mom smile at her making her
frown. “Mike don’t tell me you have someone in mind already?”. She nodded with
a smirk.

Victor: “That’s my wife I knew you could do it nothing beats you”. She smile
squeezing his hand.

Alex: “Will you let us know who it is”. They glance at her waiting for her answer.

Carol: “WHAT?”. She choked out.

They cheered.

Alex: “Then let the games begin”. He smirked. The room suddenly gets cold air

“SHE HAS BEGAN HEALING HIM WITH HER HANDS SOON HE WILL WAKE UP”.
The voice roars clearly angered by this. They shift scared hearing this.

“SHE DOES NOT FEAR ME I HAVE TRIED SCARING HER TO RUN AWAY BUT SHE
IGNORES ME”. It echoed again. “Don’t even try finding Harmony Frank she is no
longer alive”. It was not angry this time it left leaving them in shock.

Carol: “Mom…..Cassie is not scared of the devil and Harmony is dead!”. She
screamed frustrated.

Eliza: “Something will happen I fear that Cassie girl is no ordinary girl she can’t
just heal him by touching him it can only mean that they are strongly and deeply
connected their souls are one”. They gaped at her shocked.

Alex: “You mean to tell me that she—she not only the pure girl but is also his
soulmate?”. He eyed her as she nodded he chuckled.

Eliza: “We must not underestimate Cassie you heard that it said she is not
scared of it which means we are dealing with someone who is powerful”. Ales
cuss under his breath Carol was stunned. Victor did not react much.
Carol: “She can’t be that much powerful Mom you have to do something”.
Elizabeth shrugged.

Mom Hugo needs to suffer”. Alex nodded.

Eliza: “I will think of something Carol keep trying to call her maybe it will go
through”. She assured her.

Victor: “We will destroy them they won’t win this fight I’ll make sure of that”. He
glanced at Elizabeth whom nodded smiling.

Hugo felt something like a shocking wave through his body this was new he does
not understand why it is happening. Another wave strike he feels like he is getting
warm as if he is standing outside in the sun. He wishes to open his eyes but
nothing is happening. He hears the door open someone enters closing it behind.
The person walks to his bed then sit next to him. Is this Cassie he wonders he
really wants to hear her voice again she is very funny and talkative but she said
she is a shy person he does not believe that.

Leon: “I hate seeing you like this but something looks different now with you”. His
friend speaks voice low like he was crying. Hugo listen to Leon. “I never meant to
eavesdrop on you and Cassie and I also want to share something about Cassie”.
Hearing her name is sending another shock wave through his body he wishes to
scream but he can’t. “Cassie is beautiful man she is very unique does not wear
fancy clothes she—she captured me man I—I like her but I’m afraid she will
reject me if I tell her damn I don’t know what to do man I’m going crazy”. He
groaned loud Hugo can feel his heartbeat is running wild he does not understand
why hearing this causes pain in his heart. The girl he longs for is the same girl his

because Leon saw her first so if he likes her then so be it but his heart is saying

conversation hearing her talk to you asking you permission to stroke your hair
she even touched your hand man I’m not greedy but I wish all the things she did
with you could have been done to me fuck I’m crazy”. Hugo listens this really
confirms that his friend is in love with the girl he wants. His body yearns for

body never felt like this why is this happening now?. “She is making dinner man
and she will join us on the table her food is really good you should wake up and

Leon walks inside the kitchen his heart is beating heavy at the sight of Cassie
she is setting the table. She smile at him he returns it.

Leon: “Can I help you something?”. She shook her head.

Cassie: “I’m done here you can just call the others tell them the food is ready”.
He nodded walking to the lounge they were watching a game.

Leon: “The food is ready Cassie is waiting”. They nod turning off the game
walking to the kitchen. She dish up for herself they glance at her.

Rodney: “Will you not join us?”. She nod. Leon glance down.

Cassie: “My patient is probably lonely again I’ll eat in his room you know talking
to someone or hearing a voice might help him”. They nod blinking. Leon felt down
he admit that she is spending time with Hugo more than anything.

Toby: “Didn’t you do that already?”. She nodded.

Cassie: “Yes that was then this is a goodnight visit enjoy your dinner”. She walks
to his room leaving them stunned.

George: “So you are telling me she spend most of her time talking to Hugo?”.
They nod.

Rodney: “But I’m happy she is not scared of him she is more freely when she is
around him I believe he needs this maybe he will wake up we don’t know”. Leon
gulped his drink. They stare at him puzzled.

Toby: “Whoah man slow down are you okay?”. He nodded.

Leon: “I just want him to wake up man do you know we have few months to find
the girl if not on the last month he will die man”. They sat down and began eating.

Cassie closed the door she even locked it walking towards the bed. A sudden
gust of wind the window she place her food down running to the window she
quickly closed it. She walked back to the bed. She sat down on the chair. Hugo
felt it he knew this was not Leon he was listening to the footsteps he knew this
was Cassie that only meant she did not eat dinner with them Leon must be mad.

Cassie: “You must be wondering what is this girl doing here again…..do I look like
someone who needs company…..but please don’t be mad it’s good talking to
you I feel—feel somehow well don’t mind me I’m just here to share my—my first
dinner here with you….I just made that sound like you are special…no not that
I’m saying you are not but—oh my gosh I don’t even know what I’m doing I must
be crazy”. If he was awake he would chuckled at her or even laugh she is funny
and does not realise it. His only wish is for her to touch him even if she just hold
his hand. She chews softly on her food. She finally finish eating. “The food was
great you should taste it when you gain conscious Ahhh”. She screams jumping
to his bed holding his arm for dear life he feels cold something is definitely
happening and she can see it. She gasped looking around the room. There is
blood everywhere it looks like it is slowly filling the room. She shakes Hugo as if
he will wake up. "You better wake up I can't die like this where does this blood
come from it’s filling the room Hugo we are going to die at least you are already
unconscious but what about me”. She was still shaking him he could not move
he knows she is telling the truth this situation is not funny but the way she is
yelling at him makes it funny. She screamed loud calling everyone. “Leon!
Rodney! HELP! WE ARE ABOUT TO DIE”. She screamed loud still shaking Hugo.
“They better come here why are they taking their time oh my goodness Hugo the
door is locked”. His body is now warm she lay her head on his chest. “Your
heartbeat is making me nervous why is it beating so fast”. She gasped seeing a
head above the blood the hair is black is it back the scary person with long hair it
moves it’s head revealing it’s eyes her breath hitched. “Rodney! Toby! HELP US
THAT THING IS MOVING TOWARDS US AHHHHH HELP”. She squeezed Hugo’s
arm she feels like her nails will leave a mark. “That thing is back I saw it at home
Hugo it is very scary but right now it is making things harder for me…I—I think
they won’t hear us I have done this before but it never worked”. He is getting
nervous now hearing this so she has been seeing whatever she is seeing which
makes him scared for her. The door is locked why did she lock it? He ask himself.
The blood is moving up reaching the bed she screams. The head moves faster
towards them she screamed buring her head on Hugo’s pillow. Suddenly the
room is quiet no sound of hissing, weird sounds she slowly moves her head away
from the pillow Hugo felt her warm breath on his neck he wanted her to stay long
and not move. She blinks glancing around the room. “The blood is gone I don’t
know how I will sleep tonight that scared me that monster really wants me to the
leave this house let me open the door before something else happens”. She
quickly rush to the door unlocking it. She sighed. “That was scary and if you wake
up don’t—don’t laugh at me about what happened here”. He really wishes to
wake up and see this girl. He can really feel his heartbeat now it’s beating so fast.
“I need to leave now Hugo goodnight see you tomorrow”. She walks out of his
room then went to her room.

Cassie: “That monster is really trying to scare me away but I won’t leave this
house these people need me if I go now who will help them no I won’t
abandoned them I even feel alive spending time with Hugo I won’t let that
monster win”. She talks to herself. She got under her sheet dozing off.
CHAPTER 5

NARRATED

Conan got himself ready to go to work. He walks downstairs and started making
breakfast for himself he chews his breakfast slowly drinking his tea. He finish
eating cleaning up the table the door bell rings he groans he was already walking
to his room to take his bag. He walks to the door opening it he frown staring at
Tom who had bags with him.

Conan: “What is this?”. Tom chuckles moving him aside walking inside. “What
the hell man what is this?”. He walks behind him.

Tom: “Are you shocked seeing me huh I’m moving in I was tired anyway of staying
with my parents you should have seen my Mom’s face she was so happy hearing
that I’m moving out”. He chuckled.

Conan: “I never mentioned you moving in here?”. He nodded.

Tom: “Yes you forgot but Cassie did not so she told me and I agreed are you
disappointed?”. He groaned.

Conan: “I’m going to be late put your bags in the other room I’m leaving”. He
shook his head.

Tom: “What? Are you leaving me we can ride together please don’t leave I’ll be
back now”. He huffs as he quickly went to the room putting his bags then walks
out quickly. “You see I’m back let’s go unless you want us to be late”. They walk
he drove off.

Conan: “Look I’m anxious about something man I can’t stop this feeling”. Tom
glance at him.
Tom: “What is that?”. He shook his head.

Conan: “I’m not sure man but something is wrong but not with Cassie she texted
me saying everything is all right with her so I don’t know why I’m feeling so
anxious”. Tom nodded.

Tom: “I don’t know what to say to comfort you or what you are feeling but just
don’t mind it maybe it’s nothing”. He sighed.

Conan: “I’ll try to do that”. Tom phone rag he picked it up.

Tom: “Hello…..yes……what?.....we are on our way”. He hung up glancing at

Conan.

Conan: “What happened I can feel your eyes on me?”.

Tom: “I think this is why you had that feeling something bad happened”. Conan
was driving looking ahead.

Conan: “Will you say it or will you just keep staring at me”. He was angry Tom
could hear his voice.

Tom: “I’m sorry man Stacy’s body was found at the basement of her house”. He
step on the brakes making them to bump their heads Tom winced he hit his head
hard. “Fuck man”. He cussed.

Conan: “Shit are you fine let me see”. Tom shake his head wincing. “Damnit Tom
your head is bleeding there’s a scratch there just let me see”. He touched his
head he took his handkerchief that he was giving by his Dad he always kept it in
the car. He never wanted to lose it because it was a memory of his Dad. He place
it on Tom’s head stopping at the bleeding.

Tom: “What are you doing this is your favourite handkerchief you can’t put it
here”. He groan when he sees that Conan is not listening to him. He wipes his
blood then clean his wound putting on a wound patch that was on the car.

Conan: “Let’s go sorry for what I did”. He nod he drove off Tom glance at him.
Tom: “Do you want to talk about it?”. Conan shakes his head. Stacy was his ex
girlfriend they dated for a few months then when he proposed she rejected his
proposal and told him that she fell out of love with him then they called it off. He
never mentioned her again he hated what she did to him because it happened in
front of his co-workers and Cassie was there too. He spend up to Stacy’s house
there were police car’s people filled outside. They walked going inside.

CASSIE JUVERN

Am I crazy? Yes I think I am….explain why I can’t seem to stay away from Hugo. I
know I’m supposed to take care of him but I feel this excitement when I think
about him today I went for shopping I even bought him a shirt that I saw would fit
him. I received a call from Carol I saw she tried to call me few times but because
my phone was on ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode she could not get through me. She told
me she wanted to see me something urgent came up this confused me because
I’m no longer part of their workers why call me? I told her I’m not available and
that whatever it is that is urgent she must say it on the call but she bluntly
refused the scary voice even scared me telling me to go that is when I felt like
something is wrong here why does it want me to go see her? I blocked her
number preventing her from calling me again I don’t want anything that
associates me with that family this scary voice is related to them that is why it
told me to go. She is probably angry I told her off but I no longer answer to them
why do they want me back. They have been looking for the girl who will help
Hugo but they can’t find anything. I look at Hugo’s shirt smiling he will love it I
don’t know why I’m so affectionate when it comes to him but I get this strange
feeling when I’m with him I also feel free and happy. The house is quiet I wonder
where did they go. I had already cleaned his upper body leaving Toby cleaning his
lower body then I left to do my shopping. I take the shirt walking out of the room
going to his I open the door my breath hitched when I step inside I remember the
pool of blood that was here the other day and how I kept shaking him up as if he
was to wake up. I walk to him. This man might be badly hurt on his face but you
can see he is handsome his body is also build up. I try taking his shirt off he is so
heavy I don’t dress him up it is always his friends who does that. I try pulling it off
I end up hitting my head on his chest I huff loud breathing heavily. He is probably
wondering what is this girl doing I sit back down to the chair.

Me: “I hate that I can’t see how this shirt fit when you wear it, I just bought it for
you when I went shopping”. Why is he so heavy I try taking it out and yes I finally
did it. I scream a little clapping my hands. “Now I will see how this new shirt
looks but I know it was made for you”. I dress him up and yes I start off bad but
finally get it inside his body I pull it down. I gasped as it is hugging him perfectly I
knew his size just by looking at his body. “This looks so good in you wow you
should see yourself I’m amazed I chose well”. I smile if they find his saver then
she will be by his side then what about me? Will I get fired? Thinking about this
makes me say bad things like they must not find her which is very cruel of me
because this man is in pain and needs to get out of this bed. I sighed. “I need you
to understand what I’m about to say Hugo I don’t want them to find her because
what will happen to me? When you finally wake up what will be your first words
to me? Will I get fired? Will you remember everything I have shared with you? I’m
anxious about the day they will walk inside this room with her by their side
that….that will the end of me”. I glance at my hands sighing loud. I move my hand
to his touching him. “HE IS NOT YOURS”. That scary monster said these to me
they keep ringing in my head why did it mention this I’m so confused. I squeeze
his hand I feel something is pulling my legs down I glance down there’s hands
around my leg’s I jump onto the bed hugging his body. Why the hell is this always
happening when I’m in his room?. “I know you can hear me I have so many
questions right now, I keep seeing this monster it is so scary it is also back but
why does this often happens when I’m inside your room? I don’t know much
about spells but maybe this monster is with the curse so maybe that is why I’m
seeing it”. I’m still next to him those creepy hands really scared me. This man will
surely talk about this when he wakes up. I stroke his hair softly I don’t even know
why I’m doing this because this man will find his soulmate soon. “These creepy
things that are happening here are making my blood to rush…..maybe I’m not
needed here…….what am I even saying you certainly need me I can’t leave”. I
move to the chair hoping that the monster is not there. I glance at him he really
looks good in this shirt. I smile looking at him. The door opens letting Toby inside.
I smile he also returns it.

Toby: “I did not know you were here”. I nod.

Me: “I spend most of my time telling him stories I enjoy his company”. He smile
then gives me a frown.

Toby: “This shirt is new where did he get it from?”. I point myself he laughs.

Me: “I bought it myself when I went shopping I saw it and thought of him…….look
it suits him well actually it was made for him”. He nodded.

Toby: “Cassie you went shopping and bought Hugo a shirt but left us out”. We
laugh.

Me: “I never thought of you or anyone the only person who came to my mind was
him stop being jealous”. He chuckles.

Toby: “I see you guys are close you are always spending time with him”.

Me: “I don’t know but I just like spending time with him”. He nodded.
Toby: “I am glad that you are close with him he needs that”. They nod smiling. I
better leave you to whatever you were doing”. I nod he walks out. I sigh looking at
Hugo.

Me: “I have never seen friends like yours ohh yes my brother has a friend called
Tom I love him he is so nice and funny he stays home now that my brother is
alone I never wanted him to be alone so I asked him to stay there and he agreed”.
I smile at him. “You need to wake up your friends are worried about you I also
pray they find her…but speaking to me the truth I don’t want them to find her
because that will only mean I will leave this house which is something I don’t
want”. I’m breathing hard now.

Meanwhile this is happening Hugo is happy that Cassie is next to him. She has n
let go of his hand she is still squeezing it playing with his finger’s the feelings he
has now is somehow out of this world. He has never like this before. He feels his
limbs getting lose as if they will allow him to move. He slowly open his eyes he
sees blurry images he can’t see anything he blink’s hearing a gasped. He sees a
blurry figure then comes face to face with Cassie he continues blinking seeing
her. She gasped at him then releases a loud scream that pierce through his ears.
He watches her screaming loud his hand manages to hold her hand squeezing it
she release another gasped glancing at him happily. His grandfather and friends
ran inside scared to see what was happening.

Toby: “Damn Cassie I just left you guys holy hell he woke up”. They gasped
George walked to Hugo touching his face his eyes widened swings his face
Cassie wanted to stand up but Hugo grip was too hard on her hand she sat
down.

George: “He is awake…..my boy is awake I’m so happy thank you Cassie”. She
shrugged at it.

Cassie: “No don’t thank me I—I did not do anything”. Her voice was shaking
Leon glanced at Hugo’s shirt which he did not know.
Rodney: “Is that shirt new?”. She nodded smiling.

Toby: “Yes Cassie bought it for him she really likes our friend”. They laugh but not
Leon who had a sour face Cassie saw that but brushes it away. Hugo eye’s fixed
on Cassie who slowly moved her hands away from his. Hugo could not say a
word his grandpa was next to him he wanted to see Cassie but his friends were
all around him he could not see her. Cassie moved back giving them time
together she walked out to prepare lunch for them. Hugo’s eyes were all over the
room he was glad to see them but the only person he wanted to see was not here
amongst these faces.

Rodney: “HOLY DRAGON his face is also changing”. He gasped as they watch his
changed slowly going back to normal eyes widened they have never seen
something like this. They moved back watching this he could also feel something
is happening with his face but some of his limbs were still not working. He
couldn’t touch his face he smile trying to see if his face is working and he saw
from their reaction that it did.

George: “Hugo can you feel your face?”. Hugo nodded lightly they sighed.

Leon: “That means something is happening to him but why is his face back to
normal we have not found the girl yet”. They nodded Hugo only I wanted to see
Cassie.

Rodney: “This is strange it has never happened before”.

Toby: “I’m also confused man”. Someone pushed the door open.

“She is here……this is why he is healing she has touched him……you did not find
her but she found you”. Said a voice coming inside Grandma Lucia walked in
smiling at them but they have confused faces. They ran to her hugging her tightly.
“Boys stop it you are killing me save the last hug for my dear grandson”. They
moved back laughing.

George: “What do you mean she is here?”. They glance at her and Hugo wanted
to know she moved to Hugo touching his face smiling happily.
Lucia: “You have found her she is slowly healing you but she is not aware of it”.
She smile.

George: “Can you talk Hugo?”. He tries clearing his throat and it works.

Hugo: “I want—to—to see Cass—Cassie”. He finally makes a small sentence it

was hard but he did it his grandma smile while the rest were puzzled. Leon huff
he was not hearing this well.

Lucia: “I see you hired someone to take care of him call her here”. Toby nodded
then walk out. “Her name is Cassie?”. They nodded she smile glancing back at
Hugo.

Leon: “Is she the girl we were looking for?”.

Lucia: “Yes while I was resting I could sense the devil inside this house and I did
not want to ignore it she also knows it and has seen it multiple times but she is
not scared that much of it”. Their jaws left their mouth.

Rodney: “So you are telling me all along the girl we were looking for was right
under our nose”. She nodded causing him to cuss under his breath. Leon gasped
loud not believing what he was hearing. Hugo glance at him he knows why he is
reacting like that.

George: “So Cassie is the girl with pure blood that will help Hugo?”. His wife
nodded Toby got inside followed by Cassie she glanced at Hugo with a smile on
her face Hugo felt something happening to his body. He blinks seeing her face he
has never seen such beauty he remembers Leon’s words telling him that Cassie
is beautiful and now he can clearly see it. She moves towards him causing his
breath to hitch eyes widened. Lucia watch her movements she stands up letting
Cassie sit down next to Hugo.

Cassie: “Hello I’m Cassie..oh you know me I don’t know why I’m introducing
myself…you—you look just like I pictured”. He could not find the word’s out of his
mouth she moved back standing next to George.

Lucia: “Hello Cassie I’m his grandma you must be wondering why I was not here
but I’ll tell you that some other time”. They shake hands.
Toby: “Grandma are you sure Cassie is the girl we have been looking for?”.
Cassie gasped hearing this she stumbles back glancing at Lucia who nodded.
Cassie is in disbelief she shakes her head countless times. She can’t believe
what she is hearing. Hugo felt a sting on his heart watching her reaction he is
scared she might run away or reject helping him. She wipes tears on her face she
rush to Hugo engulfing him gentle some tears fell down on his shirt. Everyone
gasped seeing this Leon can’t hide his anger the feelings he has for Cassie are
increasing more and more he feels like he will burst any minute now. Cassie
slaps Hugo’s chest playful. They watch this stunned. Hugo is lost for words his
heartbeat is running a race.

Cassie: “I want to help you, did you think I was going to reject helping you huh?
Don’t you remember me saying that I wish that they must not find the girl to save
you because that will mean I won’t work here any more so I’m happy that girl is
me”. She was smiling while everyone was stunned even Hugo was not waiting for
this kind of a reaction he was scared that she will change her mind upon hearing
what needed to be done to save and break this curse.

Toby: “HOLY SHIT!” He exclaimed loud.

Rodney: “The hell she just agreed just like that who is this girl”. They were
shocked.

George: “Cassie do you mean what you just said this will be not something to
take back”. She moved back standing up.

Cassie: “What is needed to be done for him to get out of this bed”. Lucia sighed.

Lucia: “We need to perform a blood oath this will bind you together with him a
blood oath is—“. Cassie cuts her off.

Cassie: “Ma’am I know what a blood oath is all about it is when we mix blood of
two people binding them together this oath can never be undone we will feel
each other’s pain we will always be one he won’t want to be away from me and I
too will not want to be apart from him this—this act is…….is dangerous I—I—I
don’t know”. Her voice was shaking she glance at Hugo who was looking back at
her. He wanted to sit up straight but his body was still numb only his hands could
move.

Lucia: “We will give you time to think Cassie we are not rushing you into this but
he only has a few weeks to live if we don’t break this spell he will die”. Cassie’s
eyes widened upon hearing this she glance at Hugo. Toby and Rodney went next
to Hugo they helped him to sit up straight he winced in pain. His eyes were still
on Cassie.

George: “Yes we will not rush you take your time but his time is also up this won’t
take the curse away we need to break it then do the blood oath to bind you
together because we don’t know what Elizabeth Thompson will do”. She gasped
more than anything eyes widened.

Cassie: “Thomp0—son family is—is behind all of this but—but—how is that

possible?”.

Lucia: “Yes they are behind this Elizabeth did all this she…….”. She narrated
everything to her when she was done Cassie did not have the words to say she
was beyond the shocked.

Cassie: “I—I don’t have anything to say this is pure evil how can she do that to
even think that I was I was working in that house”. She said, struggling now to
catch his breath. Everyone gasped.

Rodney: “WHAT?”. He choked out.

Leon: “You were working there?”. He ask shocked. He has been quiet for long she
nodded.

Toby: “Damn didn’t they know about you or that you were the girl with pure
blood”. She shrug her shoulder’s.

Lucia: “Alright let’s all calm down……Hugo are you alright?”. She went to him he
nodded.” Is it still difficult to talk?”.
Hugo: “Yes….a---a bit”. He stared at Cassie who looking down. His eyes went to
Leon who was glancing at Cassie. “I——I need to speak with——with Cassie
alone”. Cassie glanced at him.

Cassie: “Me…..why?”. She glance at him nodding.

Hugo: “Yes to you Cassie do—do you not wish to”. She swallows hard. Leon
walked out first Hugo sigh seeing his friend like that.

George: “We will leave you then”. They walked out leaving them in the quiet
room.

Hugo: “Will you stand there come sit down Cassie why are you scared of me”.
She huffs moving to the chair. His eyes were studying her every move.

Cassie: “Why do you want to talk to me I did mention I will think about doing the
blood oath you surely not trying to convince me”. He shook his head.

Hugo: “I’m still trying to breathe Cassie can you pass me the water”. She took the
bottle of water opening it she helped him drink. She went to her chair. “Now I can
see that you are very shy you were so talkative while I was unconscious but now
you are not saying much”. She nodded.

Cassie: “I’m still shocked that you are awake and that I’m the chosen one sorry
for the hug I did not mean that”. He groans a little.

Hugo: “I liked it”. She gaped at him he chuckled seeing her reaction.

Cassie: “Do you normally say what is on your mind?”. He nod.

Hugo: “Why would I hide what I feel Cassie I don’t like hiding things”. Cassie now
has confirmed something about Hugo which is that he is ridiculously handsome.
Hugo chuckles making her to clapped her mouth close she said that out loud. “Is
that a complement ridiculously handsome really Cassie?”. She blinked not
knowing what to say.

Cassie: “I—I did not mean to say it out loud it was just my thought I don’t know
how it came out loud”. He smile she looked away.
 Hugo: “Can you stop being this quiet. I liked it when you were speaking to me”.

She gaze back at him hearing that his voice and was sad. She
glance at him he held the stare suddenly the door locked
itself there is a cold air brushing around the room she knew
that the monster is back she heard a scary laughter near her
ear something brush off her hair she jumped looking back.
"The door is locked Cassie is it back?". She nodded shivering
looking around something like a feeling told her to glance
down just next her legs the monster face is on the ground
mouth open wide there's blood coming out of it's mouth she
screamed landing on Hugo's bed. He was shocked he could
not see anything but her reaction was enough for him to
know something was with them. He pulled her closer to him
wincing his arms were not fully working. She buried her face
on her hands head resting on his chest. "Cassie I need you to
open your eyes and tell me what is going on I can't see what
you are seeing". She slowly removed her hands looking at
the room blood has filled the room again just like last time.
She felt her heartbeat going fast she was scared now as two
scary monsters were staring at her this other one looked
like a girl while this one was a guy their faces were scary
than anything she has ever seen. She released a loud scream
that pierced through Hugo's ears he held her close the
monsters were laughing loud Hugo heard it but could not
see them. He comforts her until she is finally calm down she
was only having hiccups she sniffed trying to breathe they
heard someone banging the door knocking loud. Lucia was
calling their names.

Lucia: "Cassie! Hugo! I can sense that evil is inside the room
we will try to break the door". Cassie's eyes were still closed
she felt that the cold air that was in the room is gone now
she glanced up looking around everything was back to
normal. The door unlocked itself they all got inside making
her to move away from Hugo. "Cassie are you alright did it
do something to you?". She was breathing hard.

Toby: "She looks shaken and frightened Hugo did you see
it?".

Hugo: "I only heard it's laughter they were two voices she
could see it". They nod.

Cassie: "I don't think I can do this—you did not see—see

what I just saw I'm sorry Hugo I—I can't do this". She
walked out leaving them astonished.

Hugo: "Cassie!". He screamed causing everyone to be scared

they have never witnessed this side of him. Leon glance at
his friend screaming at the woman that he loves someone
who will never be his. He sighed telling himself to let her go
she was never his to begin with. Lucia walks out going to
Cassie's room the others are trying to calm Hugo down.
Eliza: "You need drop few blood on the symbol near your candle".
They nodded cutting small cuts on their hands dropping few
drops of blood she also did the same. "We must summon the devil
by reading that hymn I gave you in one motion no mistake to be
done". They nodded.

A cold wind gush inside the room causing them to move

backwards from the circle they heard an evil laugh but the voices
were two smoke come out of the symbol they moved further
backwards two figures appeared from the symbol their faces
were scary this is the first time seeing them both they would only
hear the voice but now they were staring at them.

Voice: "WHAT IS YOUR WISH?". Eliza swallowed hard.

Eliza: "Great one I wish to reverse the curse Hugo needs to die as
in tomorrow so that we get that girl out of that house to you". The
monsters did a dance laughing glancing at them one by one.

Voice: "We already did something that would scare her away but
your plan is amazing take this you know you can't reverse a curse
there's a price for that what will you give us to help you reverse it".
She sighed looking down.

Carol: "How about fresh blood". They all glanced at her puzzled.
"I'm pregnant, and I'm not ready to have a baby, also Vincent told
me to abort it so you can take it". They gasped while the monsters
dance in rejoice.

Victor: "Carol are you certain about this?". She nodded.

Carol: "I'm certain Dad don't want this baby so respect my
decision this is saving you time from looking for another sacrifice
so be glad". They nod.

Eliza: "We will give you the baby as sacrifice to reverse the curse".
She took the potion given by the monster the other one was gone.

Voice: "Tomorrow you will wake up with only blood in your bed
the child will be ours". Carol nodded the monster disappeared.
Eliza walked to her table and started mixing everything she stirs
gentle.

Eliza: "By this potion and my blood I reverse the curse upon
Dimitri Hugo Weston and reverse it to tomorrow he will go back
to his condition and by this mixture and my words he will die
tomorrow with no one to save him only a pure blood of a pure
and untouched woman will save him as I will it, so mote it be!".
She stops stirring smiling at them.

Alex: "So they finally got to Cassie I thought she was not scared of
it". They walked out to the lounge.

Victor: "I'm glad they did now we have to wait for her to be out of
that house then we will make our move". They nod.

Carol: "So Hugo will die tomorrow Mom how did you came up
with that one?". They glance at her.

Eliza: "They have not done the ritual yet which means they don't
know Cassie is the girl they are looking for but I'm confused about
something...where is Lucia in all of this she would already have
seen her when she stepped her foot inside her house".
Victor: "You're definitely correct something must have happened
to her she was going to do the ritual right away".

Alex: "I don't about anything else if Hugo is dead then that is all
that matters".

Carol: "I can't wait to see their faces when he dies no one will
attend his burial that curse cut out the highest people he knew
now he will die not recognized". They laughed.

Eliza: "I would also love to attend it just to spite Lucia in her face
she will be broken losing her only grandson". They nodded.

Alex: "Will his body start feeling that today?". She nodded.

Eliza: "It will happen today maybe in few minutes". He smiled.

BACK TO THE WESTON HOUSE

Lucia was begging Cassie who was busy packing her clothes. She
has already texted Conan to fetch her.

Lucia: "Cassie please I can't lose my only grandson he is

everything to me". She stops folding her clothes looking at Lucia
who was already in tears.

Cassie: "I know this hurts but I can't stand seeing those scary
monsters I have seen enough I can't anymore". She went back to
packing zipping up her suitcase. She put it down.

Lucia: "Cassie what if that was your brother in pain will you stand
there and not help him". She glance at her.

Cassie: "You are comparing two different things here I won't

listen to that my brother on his way to pick me up I have already
made my mind I'm truly sorry". She walked out with her bags in
her hand Lucia was behind her they heard a loud scream from
Hugo's room Cassie's felt something moved inside her. Toby came
running to them.
Toby: "He is getting worse something big is happening to him".
Cassie's eyes widened her heartbeat beating fast.

Lucia: "I can feel it Elizabeth has reversed the curse Hugo is dying
tomorrow he will take his last breath". Cassie felt dizzy now, her
breaths growing only faster, more labored.

Toby: "If I get my hands on Elizabeth I swear on my

grandmother's grave I will kill her". He said, wiping angrily at his
eyes. Cassie stumbled back Toby caught her in time he moved her
to the chair he went to get water for her while the bell rang on the
door. "Drink water Cassie I'll go open the door ". She held his arm.

Cassie: "Take—my bags inside my—my room that must be my

brother I have to explain everything to him I will do the blood
oath and the binding". He smile nodded Lucia was gone she was
already inside Hugo's room. Toby went to open he smile lightly at
Tom and Conan. They walked inside. Conan hugged Cassie for a
while.

Tom: "Wow this house is stunning". Toby smile at him. "Hello I'm
Tom Perris I would like a tour in this house". Conan groans
pulling away from the hug.

Conan: "He does not want a tour trust me I'm Conan this beautiful
lady big brother". They shake hands. They hear another groan
Cassie took both of Tom and Conan hands walking inside her
room.

Tom: "What the hell is going on who is in pain?". She glance at her
brother.
Cassie: "Something happened in this house I don't know if you
know a guy named Dimitri Hugo Weston on his birthday.......". She
narrated everything for them their jaws left their faces dropping
down. Conan shook his head.

Conan: "Fuck this Cassie I'm not allowing you to do that shit a
blood oath you are not doing that". He started pacing Cassie
glanced at Tom who shrug his shoulder's.

Cassie: "If I don't do this he will die tomorrow which is something

I don't want brother I feel something deep for him this is the first
time having this feeling please don't take it away". He gaze at her.

Conan: "You were ready to leave just moments ago why the
sudden change I just don't get this". She nod.

Tom: "Conan can you please tone it down I know you are angry
and confused but this won't help just calm down". Cassie was glad
Tom was here he can talk to Conan and will change his mind.

Conan: "I am definitely calm Tom how do you think I must feel
because of this huh SHE IS MY ONLY SISTER DAMNIT". He roared
startling them Cassie cried at that she has never seen her brother
like that. Tom did not know what to do. Conan saw their reaction
he went to Cassie who was crying he engulf her in a hug rubbing
her back. "I'm sorry little one that came out wrong I did not mean
to scare you". He cupped her face wiping the tears off. "Will you
handle everything how will I guarantee that you will be all right
do you trust these people?". She nodded.
Cassie: "I trust them I know I wanted to leave but hearing that the
curse has been reversed and tomorrow he will die I don't want
that he is too young to die". He sigh.

Conan: "Alright if you say so I trust your words and if something

happens call me I'll came back to you no one is allowed to hurt
my most precious sister". She smile.

Tom: "What about me am I not special?". He groans ignoring him.

Tom phone rang he picked it up.

Cassie: "Does this means you agree for me to do this". He nodded.

She hugs him. Tom comes back staring at him he raised his
eyebrow.

Tom: "Our station commander got shot he passed away on his

way to the hospital we are needed man". Conan pulled back
shocked.

Conan: "Fuck what the hell is going on did they catch the
culprit?".

Tom: "Yes but he is also dead we need to hurry....Cassie I'm glad

this idiot of a brother finally agreed take care". She smile they
walked out she was behind them she watch them drive off . She
quickly ran to Hugo's room. He was groaning in pain his face was
still fine but his body seems to be in pain she went to him
touching his face.

Cassie: "I'm sorry......I—I—I did not mean to run off like that....I
don't want you to die....please help him he is in pain I—I—I will
do anything to save him". Lucia nod smiling. Hugo felt his body
was on fire Cassie's hands were warm on his face he was happy to
see her he thought she left already. She wiped her tears Hugo
watched this girl who was crying for him. He vow to do anything
for her he wanted to make her happy and not sad because seeing
her like this breaks his heart.

George: "Leon and Toby move Hugo to the room downstairs we

will do the ritual there I don't know how he will sit down as his
body is in pain". He glance at him.

Cassie: "Will you be able to sit down?". He nod a little. She moved
back Leon and Toby helped him up they took him downstairs
leaving only Cassie, Rodney and George inside.

Rodney: "What are we supposed to do?".

George: "Let's go downstairs we will wait for Lucia there". They

walked out heading to the room. Lucia was already inside. She
place down what is needed to break a curse. There was certain
fallen twings, one hazel, one of oak, one of elm, one of willow
there was small fire in the room because they need to burn them.
She hold them together then gave them to Hugo.

Lucia: "You will need to speak Hugo can you do it?". He nodded.
"Alright hold these together look at this then say it out loud seven
times". She gave him a small note. "If there is something else you
need to say directed to Eliza I will make something then you will
say your own words coming out from your heart. He nodded.
They move him to the fire. He glance down at the note. He hold
them to the fire's smoke.
Hugo: Turner be turned, Burner be burned: let only good come
out of this wood". He spit on each then broke it into small. He cast
them in the fire's mouth. Now that this is done the curse will die
with the fire's death.

George: "Will the curse be broken?".

Lucia: "Yes, but we need to bind them quickly Elizabeth might

know what we are doing she might do something more
dangerous". They nod. Cassie was anxious now her heart was
beating so fast she glance at Hugo who's eyes was also on her.
Lucia signal Cassie to move close to her she went to them. Lucia
cut Cassie's palm she did the same to Hugo their blood dropped
on the bowl she was holding she then cut a small cut on their
wrists then joined them together. Cassie felt her body going hot
she was seeing blurry. She stumbles back but Toby held her up.
She blinks her vision came back she sighed heavily. Suddenly a
cold air brush inside the room making everyone to
shiver."Elizabeth knows the devil is here it is trying stop this
Cassie don't give in you are the only one who can see it we can
only hear it's voice".

Cassie: "I'm not scared I won't let the devil to get inside my head".
Their wrists were still joined together. She gave them a note that
had a binding spell written

Lucia: "You will say a few binding words then you can say
something if only you want to". They nodded. She mix everything
on the other bowl then poured a drop of their blood on the bowl
the other one that has their blood was still untouched.

Binding Spell

They both said at the same. They heard a loud scary screamed the
room started to shake Cassie held Hugo's hand she knew that
voice very well the devil was angry, it was crying, screaming
because what was sealed is now broken. Hugo glanced at Cassie
who's face was looking down. The grip on his hand was hard he
knows she is scared. The room stopped shaking and fire was
finally gone the curse was broken.

Lucia: "Hugo you will speak the words you wish while stirring on
this bowl your hands are working the curse is gone when you are
done you will drink this blood both of you this is the finally part
of the blood oath". They nod but Cassie felt her stomach turn
thinking about drinking her own blood mixed with Hugo's. Lucia
moved the bowl next to Hugo he sighed deeply glancing down he
started to stir a little. Everyone wanted to hear what was on his
heart they wanted to hear everything.

Hugo: "I revoke access to all entities, and their strings that cause
harm to me. I rebuke all energies that keep me from my blessings.
May my Guide remover any spells cast against me, block any ill
intentions coming for me & protect me fiercely. No spell shall
prosper against me. I recall my energy, I reclaim my power. None
of their fear, projections, or energy can live within me. Their
prayers against me fall upon deaf ears. May the Devine hold&
protect me. Remove all ill with that is shackled to my spirit, and
set me free. As I will, so mote it be". He stops stirring everyone
was stunned Cassie gasped.

Toby: "Wow.....that moved me man damn I never knew he had so

much to say".

Leon: "His face changed man I have never seen that side of him".

Rodney: "I'm just glad he is free from all that torturing it killed me
man I'm happy now". They nod.

George: "I want to see Elizabeth face right she won't even try to
do anything now no spell will work on Hugo now". He smile Lucia
poured their blood in two small glasses then gave it to them.

Cassie: "With this blood as I drink it I'm bind to Dimitri Hugo

Weston and it will not be broken". Hugo cussed under his breath
hearing her saying his first name.

Hugo: "With this blood as I drink it I'm bind to Cassie Juvern and
it will not be broken". They guilped the blood down Lucia took
the glass. Cassie felt something weird happening with her body
she felt like something was running in her veins. Hugo groaned
while she release a scream scratching her body. She fell down
after that then Hugo also went unconscious.
Toby: "Shit what just happened?". Leon scoops Cassie into his
arms.

Leon: "Is it okay to take her to her room?". Lucia nodded he

quickly moved out. He went to her room placing on the bed
covering her with the sheet. He gaze at her. "I know you won't
remember this but I am finally letting you go Cassie I saw
something in you but I will never be with you, take care of my
friend he needs that". He walked out. Toby and Rodney moved
Hugo to his room.

Toby: "I think we should put him next to Cassie they can't be
away from each other".

Rodney: "When he wakes up he will walk downstairs to her room

I'm not lifting him up he is heavy man I'm tired I need to sleep".
He walked out with Toby behind him.

I bind myself to you tonight,
