WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION


Classes- IX-XII

Dear Students,

As part of our World Environment Day celebrations on 5th June , we invite you to
participate in an engaging activity to raise awareness about environmental issues and
promote sustainable practices.

You are required to choose any one of the following activities and submit your work
through ENTAB to your respective Science teachers on or before 5th June 2025:

(a) Carbon Footprint Calculator

• Calculate your personal or household carbon footprint using the online tool at:

• Create a short report including:
o Your calculated carbon footprint
o A reflection on what contributes most to it
o At least 3 realistic steps you can take to reduce it
• Purpose: Understand your individual impact and promote conscious choices.

(b) Learn about Local Environmental Initiatives

• Research any one local environmental group, NGO, or initiative in your area.
• Prepare a Poster or PowerPoint Presentation highlighting:
o The work they do
o Their impact on the environment
o How students like you can contribute or participate

Purpose: Promote environmental awareness and community engagement.
