ONLINE EXAM INSTRUCTIONS

Online exam instructions

1) There are separate examinations for IIT and AIIMS batches


2) For IIT batches there are examinations on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and for AIIMS Batches on Physics, Chemistry and Biology
3) For IIT batches exams will be conducted in both JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced) patterns. and For AIIMS batches in the NEET Pattern.
4) Students may attend the exam from home or any other convenient place
5) Students may make use of devices like desktop, laptop, tab etc. at their disposal
6) Stable internet connection should be ensured before the commencement of online exam
7) Once the exam is in progress students should not depend on text books, calculators or any other agencies Malpractice in the exam will be dealt with seriously

The steps to be followed for attending the online exam.

 In Web browser (Use Google Chrome / Mozilla Firefox updated version). Android/iOS users install “brilliant pala classes app”

Step1: open www.brilliantpala.org

Step2: click “Student Portal” menu

Step3: login with your credentials (user ID & Password)


Step 4: Open “Classes” link from dashboard quick link or “My Courses > My Class” from menu bar
Step 5. Select Course Titile -----  Open “Examinations” link
Step 6: At the scheduled time click on the exam link.
Step 7: click Start exam

Step 8 : Read the exam instructions carefully then click “I am ready to begin”
Step 9: Click ‘save & Next’ after selecting each answer.

Step 10 : Once you have completed the exam, click "Submit Exam"

 You can view the score after submitting the exam. After the scheduled time, your response information (right, wrong, correct answers) will
be available from the exam link page. Click “Review” button.

 Question and Solutions PDF for the same will be published in the “Answer Key/Solution Link” after Scheduled time

Step1: Login using your Student ID) and password


Step 2: Tap “Learn” button from Home page
Step 3. Open Course Title -----  Open “Examinations” link
Step 4: At the scheduled time click on the exam title.
Step 5: Press “Start”
Step 6: Select answer. Press “NEXT”
Step 7 : Once you have completed the exam, Press "Submit"
General Instructions for online examination

1. The Question Palette displayed on the right side of screen will show the status of each question using one of the following symbols:

The Marked for Review status for a question simply indicates that you would like to look at that question again. If a question is answered and Marked for Review, your
answer for that question will be considered in the evaluation.

2. To answer a question, do the following:

Click on the question number in the Question Palette to go to that numbered question directly. Click on Save &Next to save your answer for the current question and

then go to the next question.

Click on Mark for Review & Next to save your answer for the current question, mark it for review, and then go to the next question.

Caution: Note that your answer for the current question will not be saved, if you navigate to another question directly by clicking on its question number.

3. Procedure for answering a multiple choice type question: To select your answer, click on the button of one of the options

To deselect your chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on the Clear Response button

To change your chosen answer, click on the button of another option

To save your answer, you MUST click on the Save & Next button to save your answer, you MUST click on the Save & Next button

To mark the question for review, click on the Mark for Review & Next button.

Use ‘SUBMIT’ button only for final exam submission.

4. Procedure for answering a numerical section choice type question:


Answer to each question is a numerical value. For each question, enter the correct numerical value of the answer using the mouse and the on - screen virtual
numeric keypad in the place designated to enter the answer.
5. To change your answer to a question that has already been answered, first select that question for answering and then follow the procedure for answering that
type of question.

6. Note that questions for which option has been chosen and answers are saved or marked for review will be considered for evaluation

Changes in the answer key, if any, shall be send to our coordinators with an explanation within half an hour. Any suggestion or correction will not
be counted thereafter.

7. Result: The results of the exam will be published on the website: www.brilliantpala.org>student portal > Results)

Chapter wise exam activation period 6.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m.

A student can choose his convenient time between 6.00 p.m. and 11.00 p.m. on the prescribed date given in the class schedule.
Duration of Jee main and Jee advanced is 1hr each.

The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of screen will display the remaining time available for you to complete the examination.
When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself.
JEE MAIN (Chapter wise exam)
In part I (20 Questions). Each question has four options. Only one of these four option is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded four mark. One mark will be deducted for
each incorrect answer.

In part II (5 Questions) answer to each question is a numerical figure from 0 to 999 both inclusive.
One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer

JEE ADVANCED (Chapter wise exam)


Section 1 - Single correct answer (9 Questions)

Each question has 4 options, Only one of these four options is the correct answer
Each correct answer will be awarded four mark and One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Section 2- More than one correct (6 Questions)
Each question has 4 options, one or more than of these four option(s) is (are) are correct answers. Each correct answer will be awarded four mark.
Full Mark : +4 - If only (all) the correct option(s) (are) chosen.
Partial Marks : +3 - If all the four options are corrected but ONLY three options are chosen.
Partial Marks : + 2 if three or more options are correct but ONLY two options are chosen. both of which are correct
Partial Marks: +1 If two or more options are correct but ONLY one option is chosen and it is a correct option.
Zero Marks: 0 If none of the options is chosen (ie. the question is unanswered)No Negative Marks in all other cases
Section 3 - Numerical type (5 Questions)
The answer to each question is an integer ranging from 0 to 999, both inclusive
For each question, enter the correct integer corresponding to the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad in the place designated to enter the answer.
Each correct answer will be awarded four mark. No negative mark for incorrect answer.
