Blueprint of PT – II (2024-25) Class: 8th

English
The paper consists of three sections: 40 Marks
➢ Section A consists of one reading passage of 5 marks. (1×5=5 marks)
➢ Section B consists of Writing and Grammar of 14 marks.
I. Short Composition: 3 marks (Attempt any one)
• Formal Letter Writing (Letter to the Editor)
• Formal Letter Writing (Letter to an Official)
II. Long Composition: 4 marks (Attempt any one)
• Debate Writing
III. Grammar with internal choices. (7x1=7 marks)

➢ Section C consists of Literature questions of 21 marks:


Bifurcation is as follows:
• Word-meanings with an internal choice - 3×1=3 marks
• Dictation words with an internal choice - 3×1=3 marks
• 4 Extract Based Questions; attempt any 3 of 1 mark each. (3×1=3 marks)
• 4 short answers/questions; attempt any 3 of 2 marks each. (3×2=6 marks)
• 3 long answers/questions; attempt any 2 of 3 marks each. (2×3=6 marks)

Hindi
पेपर के 4 भाग हैं । पेपर के कुल अंक 40 हैं।

Mathematics
The Question paper contains 4 Sections of 40 Marks.
• Section – A consist of 8 multiple choice questions; each carries 1 mark.
• Section – B consists of 4 questions; each carries 2 marks.
• Section – C consists of 4 questions; each carries 3 marks.
• Section – D consists of 3 questions; each carries 4 marks.
All questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice in 1 question of 4 marks, 1 question of
3 marks, 1 question of 2 marks has been provided.
• Note: Draw neat figures wherever required.
Punjabi

Science
The paper contains three sections of 40 Marks.
• Section – A consists of 10 objective type questions; each carry 1 mark.
• Section – B consists of 5 short answer questions, each carries 3 marks. It includes one extra
question as a choice.
• Section – C consists of 3 long answer questions, each carries 5 marks. It includes one extra
question as a choice. This section will also include any kind of diagram/flow chart (if applicable)
as per the syllabus of the subject.

Social Science
Question paper comprises 6 Sections- A, B, C, D, E and F. There are 21 questions in the question
paper.
• Section A- From question 1 to 09 are MCQs of one mark each.
• Section B- Question no. 10 to 12 are very short answer type questions, carrying 1 mark each with
an internal choice of one question.
• Section C - Contains Q.13 to 16 are short answer type questions, carrying 2.5 marks each with
internal choice of two questions.
• Section D - Question no. 17 to 19 are long answer type questions, carrying 4 marks each with an
internal choice of one question.
• Section E - Question no. 20 is Case Based question with sub questions and is of 3 marks.
• Section F - Question no. 21 is map / diagram / flowchart based, carrying 3 marks.
