7
Fluid Flow Simulation Report
Outlet flow rate vs time
At 15min,
Outlet water flow rate: 355.8 L/min

At 30 min,
Inlet and outlet water flow rate will be equal.
At 60 min,
Projected water flow rate: 2354.07 L/min

Volume of water vs time

Water tank volume: 5929.569 L

At 42 min,
Water will overflow from tank
At 60 min,
Projected volume of water in tank: 7298.16 L

8
Fluid Flow Simulation Report
Water level vs time
Water tank height: 197mm

At 36 min,
Water level at outlet will be full
At 60 min,
Water level at outlet: 2578mm

2.4 Conclusion

 Water inlet flow rate is higher than outlet flow rate after 60 minutes, suggesting
it’s still filling up the tank. Projected time of 30 minutes is required for inlet-
outlet flow rate to be equal.
 Water will get overflowed at 42 minutes
 Water level at outlet will be full at 36 minutes
