narration Omar

Alisum im Ali Ali replied "But she is

Omar went to Abbas the uncle of Im Ali
Alisam and said to him "Is there

problem with me i proposed for the
daughter of your
nephew but he denied me by Allah I will
fill the well of Zam
Zam and I will destroy all that is
within their
honor and I will bring two witnesses to
testify that he has stolen so I cut off
his right
hand im Ali Ali Abbas went to him and
said to him "Oh Ali this is what he has
said allow me to take up this matter."
to which Imam Ali said to him "Go
ahead." And Abbas went and took up the
matter the first of our loud salawat in
honor of Allah Muhammad Sallam

Imm the third with your loudest voices
in honor of the Imam of our time
Imuham respected scholars brothers and
sisters did daughter of Ali
and marry Omar Katab
this without a doubt is a question of
some difference of opinion of some
controversy and at the same time is a
question that until today is the subject
of discussion between Shia and non-shia
schools some of the greatest of the
scholars of the Shia school have sought
to examine this issue and others of the
non-shia have also raised this question
because the non-shia say that if Imam
Ali had a problem with Omar why would he
give his daughter to Omar this is a
valid question that if Omar is the one
who was meant to have
killed
Zah then how could I im
Ali give his daughter to who give his
daughter away to the killer of his wife
in the Shia school the opinion is that
Imm Ali
Alisam's wife was between the wall and
the door and when she was between the
wall and the door so what then happens
people ask the question that if she was
martyed between the wall and the door so
what then happens how could he give his
daughter away to Omar in the Sunni world
this has been used as a proof that Omar
and Imam Ali had no issues with with
each other otherwise would you give your
daughter away to somebody who oppressed
you or somebody who killed your wife in
the Shi school there's a problem the
story of the marriage of Kulum with Omar
is in the most famous Shi texts
al Kafi of Sheh Keni for example being
amongst these texts that Al Kafi of Sheh
Keni includes evidence that Omar Kab
married the daughter of Fat Zaham for
your
average generally speaking this is very
difficult for a person to stomach
without a doubt because this person
without a doubt would have to be what
would have to turn around and say "Well
it's in my books not in Sunni books." At
the end of the day if it was only in
Sunni books then what happens if it was
only in Sunni literature then a person
automatically would say "This is only in
Sunni literature it's not in Shia
literature." But when it is within Shia
literature now you've got a conundrum
you have to solve and it's not just
within Shia literature that there's a
conundrum to solve the hadiths of Omar
marrying daughter of Im
Ali is a hadith which are hadiths which
are hadith which are it's not like
you're seeing a hadith which let's say
have within the chain of their narrators
for example people who are not known or
for example people who are liars no the
hadiths include zor
include Hisham bin Salim include
Muhammad bin Abi Omar in some cases when
chains of hadith have names like that

are these are righteous individuals so
it's not like I'm getting something from
somebody where there's a question mark

of a whole chapter in al kafi is on the
marriage

this tradition where I
im asked the question about Omar
marrying Fat Zah's daughter daughter of
Im Ali and Im
says that that was our honor that was
taken from us when Imam
says it raises the question that what
does it mean that our honor was taken is
not a word I would normally use on me
anyone who studies the Quran will know
that FG is something that has to do with
one's chastity one's chastity when you
talk about for example one's innocence
one's virginity and so on and so forth

Imam doesn't say that I deny this
marriage he uses different wordings he
says that that was our honor that was
taken from
him you all know the meaning
of something forcibly usurped or
something forcibly taken normally when
someone asks you the question so and so
is married into your family you don't
reply by saying forcibly married into
our family normally you reply by saying

doesn't say that Imam doesn't even deny
that Omar marries Ali's daughter as a
therefore I see in Sunni literature Ibar
narrates this I

likewise for example in his discusses
this and his gives an
opinion gives an opinion others give an
opinion because it's a conundrum if
someone says that Imam Ali was forced to
give his daughter to Omar then the Shia
asks another question can I im Ali be
overpowered by somebody when a person
talks of

incident it seems like Im Ali Alisam is
coerced the non Shia says that's not my

issue imam Ali let him marry his
daughter would you let someone who hurt

historical issues these issues of course
are amongst the top three arguments
against the Shia by the way Omar's
marriage to is normally in the top three
against the Shia do you know why most of
the Shia will not be able to even
understand or even know where these
hadiths are now if someone comes to you

understand the opinions of our on this
area he was once asked on this issue he

they will do to get what they want that

someone who has no limits
One option is to fight him head-to-head
the second option is to live with this
person and make sure that Islam does not
get demolished when this person is ready

when he asked him about the expansion of
Islam and he said I want to go to
Jerusalem or I want to go to other areas

others fight but you get killed over
there people will say the leader of the
Muslims has died so even Imam would
sometimes remind him not to be reckless
because Omar even in the Sunni world is
known for his temper he is known for his

say that Omar was angry when he
