GUIDE TO THE TIMETABLE

In every table, information is presented in the following order:

1. The Period in which the class will be held (3.00 – 4.00 p.m., 4.00 – 5.00 p.m. etc.)
2. The name of the Subject / Paper that you have to study.
If you find more than one paper in a box (as in the B. A Programme timetables), only ONE of these will be relevant to you
– the one allotted to / opted for by you.
3. The Room number in which the class will be held.
This is indicated in round brackets. For example, (26) means the class will be held in Room number 26.
4. The name of the Teacher who will take the class.
In some of the timetables, Teacher names are indicated in the boxes using abbreviations.
A key to these abbreviations is given on the following page.
5. The Days on which the class will be held and the Nature of the class (that is, lecture, tutorial or practical).
Days are indicated using numbers as follows:
1 → Monday, 2 → Tuesday, 3 → Wednesday, 4 → Thursday, 5 → Friday, 6 → Saturday
A tutorial class is indicated using a ‘t’ or (T) after the day. For example, ‘3t’ means a tutorial class on Wednesday.
A practical class is indicated using a ‘p’ or (Pr.) after the day. For example, ‘4p’ means a practical class on Thursday.
