India's elderly population, currently at
THE PROBLEM 156.7 million, is projected to double to
346 million by 2050, making it one of the
largest elderly populations globally.
Around 14.3% of seniors now live alone,
with 41.9% of them having been living
independently for over five years.
One of the main reasons for this is
migration of younger generations, and
the rise of nuclear families.
Over 41% of seniors living alone report
negative impacts on their mental health,
with 10.4% of seniors feeling lonely all
the time.
Only 30-40% of urban seniors and
10-15% of rural seniors are tech-savvy!
As this elderly population continues to
grow, there is a critical need for

above, focusing on digital literacy,

Over 10,000 seniors since its inception in
2021.
This platform primarily caters to seniors
seeking companionship and support for
daily tasks, fostering intergenerational
relationships.
Athulya Senior Care
Operates multiple facilities across South
India.
Focuses on seniors requiring specialized
elder care services, addressing the needs
of those who may not have family support.
