SAFETY DATA SHEET
Specific extinguishing meth- : Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This
ods must not be discharged into drains.
Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must
be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
For safety reasons in case of fire, cans should be stored sepa-
rately in closed containments.
Use a water spray to cool fully closed containers.
Special protective equipment : Wear self-contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if nec-
for fire-fighters essary.
Methods and materials for : Contain spillage, and then collect with non-combustible ab-
containment and cleaning up sorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, ver-
miculite) and place in container for disposal according to local
/ national regulations (see section 13).
Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
Advice on protection against : Do not spray on a naked flame or any incandescent material.
fire and explosion Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of
ignition.

Remarks : Suitable chemical resistant safety gloves (EN 374) also with
prolonged, direct contact (Recommended: Protective index 6,
corresponding > 480 minutes of permeation time according to
EN 374): E.g. nitrile rubber (0.4 mm), chloroprene rubber (0.5
mm), butyl rubber (0.7 mm) etc. Manufacturer's directions for
use should be observed because of great diversity of types.
Eye protection : Tightly fitting safety goggles (splash goggles) (e.g. EN 166)
Skin and body protection : Impervious clothing
Choose body protection according to the amount and concen-
tration of the dangerous substance at the work place.
Protective measures : Do not inhale gases/vapours/aerosols.
Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing.
Handle in accordance with good building materials hygiene
and safety practice.
Hygiene measures : When using, do not eat, drink or smoke.
Hands and/or face should be washed before breaks and at the
end of the shift.
At the end of the shift the skin should be cleaned and skin-
care agents applied.
Gloves must be inspected regularly and prior to each use.
Replace if necessary (e.g. pinhole leaks).
