Father's Journey: From Telkomsel Employee to Seller

My father started his career at Telkomsel, a large telecommunications company that is the pride of many
people. Every day, Dad left early in the morning wearing a neat uniform and bringing enthusiasm for
work. Working at Telkomsel gave Dad a lot of experience and pride, but behind it all, there was anxiety
that we never knew before.

As time went by, Dad began to feel that this job provided less freedom for him and his family. Dad
wanted to be closer to us, have more control over his time, and try other opportunities that might be more
in line with what he envisioned. So, with great determination, Dad decided to get out of his comfort zone
and try something new: selling clothes.

This decision is certainly not easy. Selling clothes is something very different from the office job that my
father had been doing. However, Dad never gave up. He started from zero, learned to recognize market
tastes, looked for the best suppliers, and faced various challenges such as difficult customers and business
competition.

Every day, Dad wakes up early to open the shop. With full dedication, Dad served customers with a smile
and friendliness. Sometimes, the sales results are not always satisfactory, but my father always said, "We
have arranged our fortune, the important thing is that we try and be grateful."

Now, even though he has left his job at Telkomsel for years, my father remains steadfast in this business.
From Dad, we learned that earning a living is not just about money, but also about the courage to start
something new, perseverance in facing obstacles, and gratitude in every step.
La Golo

In a small village, a husband and wife lived happily after the birth of their son. They named him La Golo,
meaning "The Path Opener," hoping he would grow into a strong and wise man. However, La Golo grew
up differently than expected. He was spoiled, lazy, and often caused trouble in the village.

As La Golo grew older, he became known for his misbehavior. His parents were often embarrassed by
complaints from the villagers, but their advice fell on deaf ears. When La Golo turned seventeen, it was
time for him to join the village’s hunting tradition. He refused, saying he didn’t want to go because it was
tiring. His father insisted, reminding him of the importance of the tradition.

During the hunting trip, La Golo lagged behind the group, constantly complaining about being tired.
Eventually, he stopped and rested by the roadside. While resting, he heard a strange sound that led him to
a big tree with hollow fruits. Unknowingly, he wandered too far and got lost in the forest. La Golo
became scared, hungry, and began to regret his laziness. He promised himself that if he ever found his
way home, he would change.

La Golo survived in the forest by eating fruits. One day, he met a hunter named Sandari, who taught him
how to hunt, survive, and work hard. La Golo learned many skills and gradually transformed into a better
person.

When they arrived in another village, La Golo entered a competition held at the royal palace. He won
every event, impressing the king. The king asked him what reward he wanted, and La Golo humbly
replied, "I just want to return to my village and meet my parents again."

The king sent his guards to find La Golo’s village. Finally, he reunited with his parents, apologizing for
his past behavior and promising to be a better son. His parents, who thought he had died, were overjoyed
to see his transformation.

La Golo kept his promise. He cleared farmland and worked hard to support his family. His changed
behavior made his parents proud. The story of La Golo became a legend, teaching the importance of hard
work, redemption, and love for family.
STORY OF A PERSON’S LIFE

FATHER ABROAD

My father was born in Runggu Village, Belo District, Bima Regency on July 1, 1973. My father
graduated from KAE Woha High School, class of 1992. After graduating, my father migrated to
Makassar City and applied for a job at a rattan company on Jalan Macini Raya. The proceeds of the work
paid for boarding and necessities. Every day my father worked while registering with the TNI-AD when
my father carried out the selection my father asked permission from the head of the company so as not to
get a warning but my father’s efforts failed from the TNI my father remained patient and continued
working as a construction worker in the city of Makassar. During his life overseas he never asked his
parents for money because my father knew his parents’ economy

While working as a construction worker, my father remained enthusiastic about continuing his dreams in
the city of Makassar. In 1994, my father tried to enlist in the TNI – AD. My father still makes time to
worship Allah according to his will. My father was accepted into the TNI-AD. My father sent a letter to
his parents that he had graduated from the TNI, but his parents and everyone in the village did not believe
it and it was impossible for my son to can only be a coolie in the TNI

Building. When my father was studying at Malino, my father did not give up even though his parents did
not believe in his success and day after day passed without realizing that his education was over and he
was inaugurated on July 27 1994 at an educational institution. After he was inaugurated, my father
received educational leave. For 10 days my father returned to Runggu Village without giving information
to his parents by using a ship, namely Kelimutu at that time. When he arrived at the village, bravely
wearing a TNI uniform, his parents believed in their son’s success and immediately thanked Allah.

Hopefully this is a short story of a father’s life, hopefully we all don’t give up and learn from experience
so we can achieve what we dream of. Wassalam.
Title: The Flood-Free Village

1. Orientation

In an area often hit by heavy rain, there was a small village called Rasabou Village. This village was
unique because, even though the surrounding villages were frequently flooded during the rainy season,
Rasabou Village always remained safe and dry. The villagers lived peacefully without ever worrying
about rising waters.

The secret of the village became a topic of conversation. Many people from outside the area came to find
out why Rasabou Village was never flooded.

2. Complication

One day, a resident from a neighboring village came and asked the head of Rasabou Village, "Sir, what is
the secret of this village never being flooded, even during heavy rains?"

The village head smiled and took the neighbor on a tour around the village. He explained that the secret
of Rasabou Village lay in the cooperation and environmental policies of its residents.

"We plant many trees around the village to absorb rainwater. Additionally, we built clean drainage
channels connected directly to the river. Every house also has a soak pit to reduce water pooling," said the
village head.

The neighbor was amazed to see how well-maintained every corner of the village was. There was no trash
clogging the drains, and the river near the village was free from waste. "We all have an agreement to take
care of the environment," added the village head.

However, one day, heavy rains fell continuously for several days. The river in the neighboring village
overflowed, and floods began to threaten. Residents of the nearby villages panicked and came to Rasabou
Village to ask for help.

3. Resolution

The residents of Rasabou Village not only helped the neighboring villagers but also taught them how to
prevent floods. They helped plant trees along the riverbanks, build new drainage channels, and establish
proper waste disposal systems.

The hard work paid off. The surrounding villages began to be free from floods. They followed the
example of Rasabou Village, which cared deeply about the environment.

4. Coda (Closing)

Now, Rasabou Village is not only known as a flood-free village but also as an inspiration for other
villages. The villagers proved that through cooperation, environmental awareness, and concrete actions,
natural disasters like floods could be prevented.

Moral Lesson: Living in harmony with nature and working together to take care of the environment is key
to preventing disasters and creating a better life.
The Story of the Fall of President Soeharto

My mother has lived in Jakarta since 1994, she taught at SMPN 189 Jakarta. Several years later, in 1998,
an event occurred that brought down President Soeharto from the throne to the Presidency

At that time, my mother was on duty to supervise school exams at another school, when she wanted to go
home, there was not a single public transportation passing by. After waiting for a long time, finally, news
was heard that there had been a large-scale demonstration that wanted to bring down President Soeharto.

The demonstration caused shops, malls, offices to be burned and destroyed by the masses. They
demanded that President Soeharto be removed from his position because he had been in power for too
long. Because according to them, our country does not adhere to a lifetime president system.

The demonstration finally succeeded in removing President Soeharto from his position as President of the
Republic of Indonesia, although it took a long time, finally Soeharto was replaced by BJ Habibie. That
period was known as the reformation period until now.

The fall of Soeharto also brought about various impacts, for example:

1. High prices of goods

2. The living conditions of the community were colored by a life of complete freedom both in speaking,
organizing, and others.
