Valley –a flat land surrounded by mountains or hills.
Example: Cagayan Valley’s land area lies in the valley between
the Cordilleras and the Sierra Madre Mountain ranges.
Plains –is a large and wide area of flat land with few trees.
Example: Central Plains of Luzon.
Plateau- is a large area of flat land which is higher than the land
around it.
Example: Plateaus of Bukidnon, Baguio, and Tagaytay.
Volcano – is a mountain or hill with a crater where the lava, rocks,
vapor, and gas come out.
Example: Mayon Volcano, Taal Volcano, Mt. Pinatubo.
Island- is a land that is completely surrounded by water.
Example: Boracay Island, Pearl Farm, Palwan’s Hundred
Island.
Canyon- is a large crack in the earth like a valley with a rough edge.
Peninsula- is a narrow strip of land that extends out into a body of
water.
Delta- is a low water land that is formed at the mouth of a river.
