WINE PRESENTATION

Presenting the wine


Server: 'Good evening/morning/afternoon, welcome to CDSCDB Restaurant. My
name is (_____) and I will be your server this evening.
Guest; Sure, Thank you
Set the appropriate glassware for the wine
(Present wine to guest hold bottle neatly making sure the label is faced to the guest
after that describe the wine to the guest by announcing the wine’s name, cultivator,
and vintage) Position on the right side of the guest and hold the bottle wrapped
with wine cloth in upright with the label facing the guest
Server: Excuse me mam/sir I would like to present to you the bottle of wine
(example - A bottle of the William Fevre Chablis Cru Valmur with the vintage of
2009, made in Burgundy, France, It has an aroma of fresh citrus fruit, honey and
the palate has notes of butter, oak, and caramel.) Shall I open the bottle mam/sir
Guest: Yes Please
Server: *Open and the bottle properly, remember to present the corkscrew in a
small coaster to the guest. After that pour the guest taste of the wine about 10-20ml
Guest: This is excellent!
Server: I'm glad you're enjoying it. Would you like me to pour you a full glass?
Guest; Yes please!
Server: *fill a glass about 1/2 to 1/3 of the way to the top, depending upon the
shape and size of the glasses and the number of guests to be served. If the glasses
are large, pour less wine in each one. After pouring place the bottle of wine on the
table on an under liner with the label facing the guest and leave
