Purpose of the Project Initiation Document

Project Aims:

Project Management and Control:

I am to ensure that the project is delivered to the given constraints and to


the required standards. I will provide confidence to stakeholders that I
have adequate control over the project’s outcomes and sufficient ability to
respond to change.
I will do this by producing the following artifacts:
- A time schedule as a Gantt chart to keep to the project’s deadline of
14 July 2023
- An accurate cost plan based on the team members’ salaries and cost
of equipment to keep to the project budget of £80,000
- A resources list detailing which resources will be needed and when
throughout the duration of the project
- A risk management plan that identifies, assesses and describes how
to mitigate the potential risks
- A communications plan that details how and when team members

will communicate over the duration of the project


This PID contains a summary of the project management details and
will provide confidence to stakeholders over the quality of the project
management.
