(f) If 60 workers can paint 45 identical buses in 6 days, how many such buses can
be painted by 24 workers in 10 days?

(g) A salesman’s monthly wage is made up of a basic salary of Rs 6000 and a
commission calculated as 2.5% of his sales in that month.
(i) His sales for April was Rs 65000. Find his wage in April.
(ii) His salary in May was Rs 7125. Find his sales in May.

22. (a) (i) Given that 𝑥 = −2 and 𝑦 = 3, find the value of 5𝑥 + 2𝑦.
(ii) Factorise completely 4𝑥 2 − 9.
(iii) Expand the brackets and simplify (9𝑥 − 7)(5𝑥 + 11).
(iv) Make 𝑛 the subject of the formula 𝑚 = 8(5 − 𝑛).
(v) Find the value of 𝑎 given 32𝑎 = 8.
(vi) Given that 𝑥 = 4 is a solution to the equation 𝑥 2 + 3𝑥 + 𝑐 = 0, find the
