Scholarship Conditions: The awardees are required to:

I. Conduct one service-learning project during the first or
second year
II. Maintain a semester GPAX of 2.50 or higher throughout
their studies
III. Contribute at least 30 hours per semester to the Global
Relations Division before the end of each semester. Failure
to do so will result in the scholarship being withheld for the
next semester
IV. Pursue their studies diligently and maintain good conduct
V. Comply with university rules and regulations
VI. Participate regularly in university extracurricular activities
VII. Stay updated with university news and announcements
VIII. Report academic results to the Global Relations Division
within two weeks of the announcement of grades each
semester until graduation,
IX. Seek permission from the scholarship Committee before
applying for other scholarship
X. Not be allowed to change the study programme
XI. Resign from MFU by obtaining permission from the
scholarship committee. Failure to do so will require the
Scholarship Recipient to repay the full amount of the
scholarship to MFU within three (3) months. Failure to
comply with this requirement may result in prosecution.

Scholarship Conditions: 1. The scholarship holder must receive a cumulative grade

point average (GPAX) of at least 3.00 each semester in order
to remain eligible the following semester. In the case of a
GPAX lower than 3.00 but not less than 2.80, the scholarship
holder is still eligible for the scholarship the following
semester, however, if the scholarship holder receives a GPAX
lower than 3.00 again in the subsequent semester, the
scholarship will be rescinded. If the scholarship holder
receives a GPAX of at least 3.00 the following semester, the
scholarship holder will be considered to have met the
scholarship requirements.
2. The scholarship holder must be enrolled for at least 70
percent of the study schedule for each semester except for
instances considered by the scholarship committee on a
case-by-case basis.
3. The scholarship holder must meet the qualifications in
accordance with Ubon Ratchathani University regulations as
per Ubon Ratchathani University Scholarships for
Undergraduate Students B.C. 2021.
4. During each semester, the scholarship recipient must
participate in at least 80 percent of all international student
activities hosted by the Office of International Relations,
Ubon Ratchathani University.

Types of Study Plan
1. Plan A is research-oriented. Students are required to complete a
thesis by conducting research to build a body of knowledge in
their fields of study. There are two sub-plans:
1.1) Plan A 1 is a thesis-based plan equivalent to 36 credits.
1.2) Plan A 2 is a thesis-based plan which includes both
coursework
and thesis. The thesis work should be at least 12 credits
2. Plan B is coursework-oriented. Students are not required to
complete a thesis but are required to complete an independent
study of at least 3 credits but no more than 6 credits.
However, the university may require additional credit and non-credit
courses or other academic activities. Regardless, students must
complete the program with outcomes as specified by the university.

Award Value/ The grantee understands that the non-negotiable scholarship

Scholarship Coverage: coverage includes:
1. a round trip international airfare ticket (a most direct and

The scholarship will strictly commence in June 2025 and cease in
April 2027 for a Master’s degree program based primarily on

Eligibility Requirements: Applicant Qualifications:

1. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a field related to
the program which they are applying for. The degree must be
from an accredited academic institution.
2. Grade point average of 3.00/4.00 or higher
3. English Proficiency Test*: Applicant must hold a minimum score
of English proficiency from TOEFL iBT or IELTS or other accepted
tests as shown in the following table. The certificate(s) must be

Scholarship’s Terms and Naresuan University offers ONE (1) scholarship for 2025 NU
Conditions: Thailand Scholarships: Type 2. During the period of the
scholarship, the grantee must strictly follow the scholarship’s terms
and conditions as follows:
1. The grantee needs to fulfill the publication requirement as
follows:
1 . 1 For Study Plan A1: The grantee must publish at least 1 full
paper in an international journal indexed in the database of Web
of Science (only Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Social
Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Arts and Humanities Citation Index
(AHCI)) or the SCOPUS Journal List. Other details of the
publications must follow related regulations of Naresuan
University Graduate School.
1.2 For Study Plan A2/B: The grantee must publish at least 1 full
paper in an international journal or proceedings of an
international conference indexed in the database of Web of
Science (only Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Social
Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Arts and Humanities Citation
Index (AHCI)) or the SCOPUS Journal List. Other details of the
publications must follow related regulations of Naresuan
University Graduate School.
2. The grantee must explicitly identify the granted scholarship
from Naresuan University in the published study/studies and
thesis presenting the grantee’s work.
3. The grantee must be actively involved in supporting and
contributing to the activities of Naresuan University and its
community.
4. The grantee must act as a teaching assistant (TA) and/or
research assistant (RA) as specified by the thesis
advisor/assigned advisor.
5. The grantee must maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average
of ≥ 3.25 at the end of each academic year. For a research-based
student, the academic advisor will submit an evaluation at the

end of each semester. Failing to meet this requirement will result in

a termination of the scholarship.
6. The grantee must pay attention to his/her study by following
the guidance of his/her advisor. The grantee is required to
complete the study without any willful abandonment of the
scholarship.
7. If the grantee receives another scholarship, research fund, or any
other kinds of funding, the granter reserves the right to adjust the
scholarship in accordance with the terms and conditions of this
scholarship agreement.
8. If the grantee is unable to follow the conditions specified in this
agreement, the granter reserves the right to terminate the
scholarship in accordance with the terms and conditions of this
scholarship agreement. The granter is authorized to revoke the
scholarship should the grantee is found to behave
inappropriately or to fail academically.
9. The grantee must be a full-time student, must strictly follow
his/her study plan, and must maintain his/her student status
until he/she finishes the study. Changing the field of study will
result in the termination of the scholarship; the grantee however
may continue his/her study by paying for his/her own expenses
upon consideration of the accepting Faculty.
10. The grantee who is required to repeat a course/courses must do
so by paying the tuition fees for the course/courses by
himself/herself.
11. If the grantee is accepted into the study program as a
conditionally accepted scholarship student because he/she has
not yet submitted a qualified English proficiency test score as
indicated in Naresuan University Graduate School’s
Announcement of English Language Proficiency Criteria for
Graduate Students, the grantee must submit a qualified English
score by the end of the first semester of his/her study as a
scholarship student at Naresuan University in order to continue the
study as a scholarship student.
12. The grantee who requests an extension for the study period can
continue the study by paying for his/her own expenses. Any
scholarship extension proposed to the university will not be
considered. If the grantee is unable to complete the study within
the timeline of the study plan, he/she will remain a student of
Naresuan University and will be expected to complete the study
within 5 years at a Master’s degree level, which includes both
the scholarship period and the extension period.
13. Should the grantee, who receives on-campus housing as part of
their scholarship condition, decide to stay off-campus, all
incurred expenses must be paid for by the grantee
himself/herself. The grantee understands that the allocation of
occupancy slots at on-campus accommodation are strictly
observed and will not be re-arranged. The grantee also
understands that he/she is not entitled to request a room at a
university staff member dormitory; such a request will be
rejected.

14. Should the grantee complete his/her study before the indicated
length of study, the already deposited monthly stipend must be
returned to the university as calculated based on the actual date
of study completion.
15. If there is any dispute regarding the Contract, the decision of
the President shall prevail.
