Only one tank-truck is being decanted at the retail outlet at a given

2 Tank truck is in the drive-out position during decantation.

If Yes
a) All activities at retail outlet including the dispensing of fuel and NFR,
are stopped within an area of 9 mtr radius from the centre of the tank
2.1 truck.
b) Areas within 3 mtr from the centre of the fill point, 4 mtr from the
corresponding vent, 9 mtr radius from the centre of the tank truck are
cordoned off.
If No
2.2
a) Sales and all activities are stopped at RO during decantation.
3 Ensure no ignition source in the vicinity of the tanker.
4 Tank - truck has CCOE-approved spark arrestor.
Parking brakes and gear must be engaged at all times. Place wheel
5
chokes to prevent movement of tanker.
The engine of the tank - truck has been switched off and the battery
6
switch is in 'off' position.
7 No Smoking ' board is displayed prominently
Ensure connecting the TT to the earthing bus and proper bonding prior
8
to any decantation action.
Dip pipe of the underground tank opening has been kept closed to
9
avoid any vapour accumulation during decantation
Mobile phones of the tank-truck crew and the retail outlet staff
10 assisting them have been switched off or Mobile phone should not be
operated
The 10 kg or 9 kg DCP fire-Extinguisher of the tank truck has been
11
taken out and kept next to the tank- truck
12 Fire buckets are easily accessible
13 Ensure rubber hose with external continuity wire and suitable end
14 Only bonded metallic bucket is being used for drawing samples.
The driver, helper and the designated retail outlet supervisor are
15
present during the entire process of decantation
Ensure the hose is connected to the correct fill point (MS, HSD) before
16
the start of decantation .
