to the municipal mayor of the municipality of Badian, Hon. Mayor Carmencita L. Lumain, to our Public
Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Romeo V. Mejia, to the teacher in charge of Sanlagan NHS, Mrs. Michelle
Marie C. Lom-oc, to the faculty and staff of Sanlagan NHS, and of course to the Barangay Captain of
Barangay Sanlagan, Hon. Marivic A. Villanueva, to the barangay officials, distinguish guest, parents,
graduates and completers, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. Welcome to the Sanlagan NHS,
commencement exercises.

Commencement – a word of French origin which means beginning. Indeed, there is a good reason they call
ceremonies, commencement exercises. Graduation is not the end it is the beginning.

Graduation day is always a day of rejoicing for it marks the conclusion of an educational journey and the
commencement of another more uncertain and more difficult part of man’s quest for a better life and future.
**Truly, today signifies the culmination of many years of hard work in the relentless pursuit of knowledge:
knowledge that will enable a person to be its fullest potential.

WELCOME ADDRESS
To set the tone for this afternoon’s event let us welcome Cristyl Mae N. Lano our Academic Excellence with
High Honors for her welcome address. A big hand please.

PRESENTATION OF THE CANDIDATES FOR GRADUATION AND COMPLETION AND CONFIRMATION

Thea: And now the most significant moment in every graduation and completion ceremony has come. May
we call on Mrs. Michelle Marie C. Lom-oc, Teacher-in-charge for the presentation of candidates for
graduation and completion. This is to be followed by the acceptance and confirmation of SHS graduates
and JHS completers by Public Schools District Supervisor – Dr. Romeo V. Mejia.

DISTRIBUTION OF DIPLOMA
Every battle won deserves recognition. Let us now move on to the distribution of diplomas to our graduates.
May we call on again on stage our Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Romeo V. Mejia, Municipal Mayor
of the Municipality of Badian, Hon. Carmencita L. Lumain and Sanlagan NHS Teacher-in-charge Mrs.
Michelle Marie C. Lom-oc and our Guidance Designate, Mrs. Mika C. Cariman together with the CLASS

After four years of hard work and dedication, graduates, and completers, it is about time to reward your
commitment towards education. Reap the fruits of your labor. Let us welcome on stage, Public Schools
District Supervisor, Dr. Romeo V. Mejia, Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Badian, Hon. Carmencita L.
Lumain and Sanlagan NHS Teacher-in-charge Mrs. Michelle Marie C. Lom-oc and our Guidance Designate,
Mrs. Mika C. Cariman together with the CLASS ADVISER in the awarding of medals to the graduates and
completers with distinction and special awards.
