Site Observations:

Site Accessibility:

The site is located approximately 30 meters from the main highway with a 10–12 meter
wide road, ensuring smooth transportation of construction materials and electrical
equipment.


Layout Verification:

The site layout provided in the tender documents closely matches the actual site condition.
No major discrepancies were observed.


Site Leveling & Filling Requirement:

The site level is approximately 2 meters below the Finished Ground Level (FGL), thus
requiring a filling of around 2 meters.


Tree Cutting:

There are three trees within the GIS land area. Permission from the relevant government
authority will be required for tree felling.

Filling Material Availability:

As per the PGCIL engineer, sand for filling is not locally available and must be procured from
approximately 30 km away, subject to government approval. Rates for filling material have
been obtained from local contractors and are attached as an annexure.


Water Source (Borewell):

Borewell provision is not mentioned in the BOQ. However, the client has confirmed it will
be included in the upcoming corrigendum.


Future ICT Bay:

As per the Single Line Diagram (SLD), one future ICT bay is indicated. The construction of
the power transformer plinth for the future ICT bay is included in the current scope of work.


Contractor Interaction:

The site has been shown to two local civil contractors:


- M/s Build Tech (Mr. Arulmozhi, M: 9698113902)
- M/s AB Construction (Mr. Baskaran, PGCIL recommended, M: 9994991916)

Challenges Identified:
- Non-availability of filling sand nearby and the requirement to procure it from a distant
location (~30 km) with permission.

- Tree cutting clearance required from the concerned department.

- Uncertainty regarding water borewell provision pending corrigendum.
