ELA Objectives:

Leonardo’s Horse

20 Spelling words: SS are able to memorize the spelling (Compound Words , RW’s NB P193, 198.)

9 Vocabulary words: SS are able to understand meaning and use. (RS P358, RW’s NB P191.)

Writing: RW’s NB P.190 and RS P.380 &381. SS write a Persuasive Text. (Rubric RWRs NB p194.) Also,
Main Idea and Details or Letter to the duke of Milan.

Reading: SS are able to read the story, know the genre and understand the major events in
Leonardo’s life during the Renaissance. Also, character traits (gifted, talented, curious, ambitious,
hard on himself, sympathetic to animals and depressed,) author’s point of view, foreshadowing,
identifying main idea/ supporting details and theme.

Grammar: Principal Parts of Regular verbs. RWRs Nb P192 & 199.

Unit Test in W12 on Fri. 2nd May (5th period.)
