All new students must understand and agree with all the terms and conditions contained in this agreement
at the time of enrolment for the CIMA / ACCA / CA MBA programme. The following fee structure will be
applicable for new students who are registering with the University of West London Postgraduate programs
at American Education Centre Limited (“ANC Education”) with effect from September 2017 intake.

1. ADMISSION PROCEDURES

Please make sure all the following documents have been handed over to ANC at the time of enrolment or
within one week from the time of handing over the application.
1. One copy of all your academic and professional certificates.
2. Two color passport sized photographs
3. Copy of NIC/ Passport
4. Signed affidavit to confirm the authenticity of all academic qualifications.

2. PAYMENT POLICY

2.1 CIMA / ACCA / CA MBA PROGRAMME FEE STRUCTURE

Academic Merit Based Offer will automatically revoke and the Standard Category Fees will
apply in the event the student withdraws from the programme.

The students must pay the fees for the program either as a full payment, semester
payment or a monthly installment payment. The above semester and annual fee is
structured for 4 modules.

Program fee including university fee should be paid at the beginning of the 1st semester or
according to an approved payment plan. ANC Admissions fee is applicable for the whole
program and is payable at the enrolment.

2.2 NON REFUNDABLE FEES

The following fees shall be nonrefundable for any student under any circumstance

2.3 RESIT, RETAKE AND RESUBMISSION FEES

These payments are liable to resist/retake/resubmission


examinations. Fees for resubmission and re-sit fees are charged
by ANC and not by UWL.
Additional fees will not be charged from the students in the event of an acceptance of a
mitigation claim by University of West London for a coursework submission or an
examination sitting.
Repeat, Resubmission and Re-sit shall have the same meaning as defined in the
University of West London Student Handbook and the Postgraduate Supplement.

2.4 OTHER FEES


2.4.1 LATE PAYMENTS

Failure to pay on or before the due date, will result in you being charged LKR 5500/- +
government taxes as late payment fee along with the installment payment. Please note
that the monthly payment should be made during the 1st week of every month.

Following fees are applicable in the event where delayed payments or Cheque returns occur.

2.4.2 PAYMENT PLANS

Students can pay their fees on annual, semester wise or installment basis. An additional LKR
1,000 + Tax will be charged for each installment. Payment plan fees and number of
installments are as follows:

2.4.3 FAILURE TO COMMIT/ADHERE TO A PAYMENT PLAN


2.4.3.1 Any student who has not declared/committed towards a payment plan for this
program will automatically be added to the monthly payment plan in addition to the
installment fees of Rs.1000 each month
2.4.3.2 Any student who has declared/committed to a semester payment plan and fails to
make the payment according to the said payment plan will immediately be added
to the monthly payment plan upon their first default of payment

2.4.4 DEFERRAL FEES


2.4.4.1 A deferral fee of Rs 80,000.00 will be levied on students when they indicate a wish
to defer their studies.
2.4.4.2 This deferral fee must be paid to ANC Education within 5 working days of informing the institution
of the student’s wish to defer
2.4.4.3 Once the student has deferred following the correct processes contained herein, they may return
to
their course of study at a time suitable to them and indicated to the institution
2.4.4.4 The said deferral fee may be waived purely on the discretion of the management of ANC Education
for reasons including a serious medical condition which renders the student
incapable of pursuing their studies for the time being, or an immediate family
bereavement

2.4.5 PAYMENT METHODS:


2.4.5.1 ANC students can make their payments in Cash/Cheque/Credit Card (Bank
Commission applicable)/Bank Drafts. All Cheque and Bank drafts must be
written in favor of “AMERICAN EDUCATION CENTRE LTD” and crossed “Account
Payee Only”

2.4.5.2 Please note that all cash payments must be deposited to the bank account mentioned below
and students/parents must submit the original deposit slip before payment deadline to ANC
Finance office and collect the official payment receipt.

3. REFUND CALCULATION POLICY & REFUND PROCESSING TIME

Tuition fees will be refunded as per the breakdown below after deduction of non-refundable
fees mentioned in 2.2 above.

Calendar dates are calculated from 1st day of the semester (Class starting date)

Application for refund takes 2 weeks to process. If the refund application is successful, a
cheque would be drawn against the student’s name on the application form.

4. ANC SCHOOL OF POSTGRADUATE EDUCATION / UNIVERSITY OF WEST


LONDON CIMA / ACCA / CA MBA PROGRAMME EARLY WITHDRAWAL POLICY

This applies to any enrolled CIMA / ACCA / CA MBA programme students withdrawing prior to
the full completion of the programme. Students must collect a withdrawal application form
ANC student Affairs office (SAO). Fully completed application forms must be handed over to
the SAO. Students are encouraged to keep a duplicate copy of this application form for their
reference.

Students who do not complete the program and dropout/decides to discontinue must pay
following early withdrawal fees if they choose to collect the transcripts or academic
records.

Approval for an early withdrawal is subject to payment of an early withdrawal fee, which is
calculated based on the credits the student has completed for each subject in the programme
at the time of submission of the Early Withdrawal Form. The credit based withdrawal fee
calculation is as set out below.

5. PARTIAL PAYMENTS BY THE EMPLOYER

Where a student wishes to make an arrangement with his/her employer for part payment to
be made directly by the employer to ANC and the balance to be paid by the student, the
student shall submit to ANC a letter from his/her employer confirming such arrangement and
provide proof of the payment remitted by the employer to ANC. ANC shall not be liable to
repay such payment to the employer under any circumstances.

6. IMPORTANT NOTES

6.1 ATTENDANCE AND MITIGATION

6.1.1 All students are advised to maintain an average attendance of at least 80%, which
is also highly desired by the University of West London.

6.1.2 In case of absence, the academic head should be informed in writing prior to
commencement of the class. It is the student’s responsibility to also inform their
lecturer of any absence which shall also be prior to commencement of class.

6.1.3. In the case of absence due to sickness, the academic head and the respective
lecturer must be informed before commencement of the class.

6.1.4 Any academic mitigation claims for absence or failing to submit any required
academic work on time shall be submitted to the University of West London
through the Academic Administration Office of ANC, the decision of the University
of West London will be made on a case by case basis upon examination of the
facts presented by the student.

6.1.5 Deferments are subject to 2.4.3 herein.

6.2 APPLICABLE GOVERNMENT TAXES

The fees given above are exclusive of prevailing taxes, unless specifically mentioned. Any changes
to the government tax policy will be applicable.

6.3 TUITION FEES REVISION

ANC reserves the right to revise all the above fees at any time. (Applicable for Payment
Policy, Postgraduate School Refund Policy and Postgraduate School withdrawal policy)

6.4 AMENDMENTS

6.4.1 The contents of this Agreement including the fee structure may be changed from
time to time as per changes stipulated by the University of West London or other
entities to which ANC is directly/indirectly affiliated to and/or as per changes to laws
and regulations as applicable to ANC and/or at the sole discretion of ANC Education.

6.4.2 The mode of academic delivery and/or support may vary in keeping with
University of West London guidance and directives, and in keeping with the
University's academic regulations. Inter alia (amongst other things) the said
mode may take place on line where circumstances prohibit and/or are non-
conducive to in situ lectures.

6.5 All graduating students will be required to pay a graduation fee which will be informed
to them prior to the graduation ceremony

6.6 TERMINATION

This agreement automatically terminates in the event the student is dismissed from ANC
on disciplinary grounds as more fully specified in the Student Hand Book or after
successful completion of the programme by the student.

Any rights ANC has in law for any matter arising out of this agreement shall survive the termination
of this agreement.
