SPECIFICATION:
The cable gland, model CG d X, manufactured in stainless steel, brass or nickel-plated brass and
are intended to be assembled on "Ex d" flame proof and "Ex e" increased safety enclosures.
The cable glands consist of threaded metal body, and in the base are assembled an elastomeric
sealing ring made of Neoprene or Viton.
The “CG d 1F” types are the cable glands for non-armoured cable.
The “CG d 4F” types are the cable glands for armoured cable.
The “CG d 4F DEL” types have an additional O-ring compared to the “CG d 4F STD” type.

OBSERVATIONS:
1. The letter "X" after the number of the certificate, denotes the following conditions
of safe use:
For the models “CG d X” n° 4 to n° 8:
For “CG d 1F” types the user shall ensure adequate clamping of the cables against
pulling and twisting.
The cable gland “CG d 1F”, size ISO M12 & NPT ¼” shall be submitted to low
mechanical impact only.
Service temperature of sealing ring in NEOPRENE (black color) is
-60 °C ≤ Ta ≤ +80 °C, and this is -20 °C ≤ Ta ≤ +200 °C for sealing ring in
VITON (red color).
For the models “CG d X” n° 9 to n° 16:
For “CG d 1F” types the user shall ensure adequate clamping of the cables against
pulling and twisting.
Service temperature of sealing ring in NEOPRENE (black color) is
-60 °C ≤ Ta ≤ +80 °C.
2. This Certificate is valid only for products with the same model and type as the
tested prototype. Any modification in the project, as well as the use of components
apart from those defined by the technical documentation, without previous
authorization from Bureau Veritas Certification, will invalid this Certificate.
3. The cable glands shall have, on their outer surface and in a visible place, the
Conformity Mark and the technical characteristics thereof, according to the
specifications of the Standard ABNT NBR IEC 60079-0 / ABNT NBR IEC
60079-1 / ABNT NBR IEC 60079-7 / ABNT NBR IEC 60079-31 / ABNT NBR
IEC 60529 and Conformity Assessment Requirements, attached to INMETRO
Ordinance 179, published on May 18, 2010. This marking must be legible and
durable, possible chemical corrosion.
4. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the products are installed in
compliance with the relevant Standards for Electrical Installations in Explosive
Atmospheres and the manufacturer's recommendations.

5. The activities of installation, inspection, maintenance, repair, overhaul and
recovery of equipment are the responsibility of users and must be implemented in
accordance with the requirements of current technical standards and the
manufacturer's recommendations.
6. The Manufacturer shall provide manual of installation and safe use written in
Portuguese.
