Infertility is referred to couple that has failed to

conceive after 12 months of regular sexual intercourse
without the use of any contraception. Infertility can be
due to the woman or man or both.
Significant social and medical problem affecting
couples worldwide
Average incidence of infertility is about 15% globally
varies in different populations
Some causes can be detached and treated, whereas
others cannot un explained infertility constitutes about
100% of all cases.

So far we have discussed about the various key terms, definition of infertility, types of infertility, causes, various
investigations used for diagnosis and counselling services, management of infertility.

CONCLUSION

At last I concluded my topic by saying the infertility may have profound psychological effects in many cultures. Inability to
conceive bears a stigma. But today science has made a possible to treat almost all cases of infertility, being a nurse we can
playa vital role in a by counselling the couple . we can tell them about the various preventive measures and management of
infertility.
