What is TED?
TED (Technology, Entertainment, and Design) is a non
profit organization that is devoted to spreading ideas,
usually in the form of short, powerful talks. It began in
1984 as a conference where leaders from the worlds of
technology, entertainment, and design came together
to share their ideas, insights, and experiences. Over the
years, TED has expanded its reach, and now offers talks
ona wide range of topics, including science, business,
culture, and global issues. TED talks are usually less than

Then what is
TEDxIITHyderabad?
TEDxIITHyderabad is an independent organization that
operates under a license issued by TED, headquartered in
New York, New York, USA. Every year, we have our own TEDx
conference where we bring in together a diverse group of
speakers and attendees from various fields, such as
technology, entertainment, design, and science, to share
ideas, insights, and experiences, and cover a wide range of
topics that are relevant and meaningful to the local
community. It is one of many TEDx events held around the
world that follow the format and principles of TED talks. All
our videos are uploaded on the TEDx Talks YouTube channel
with currently around 38.2M subscribers.
Finance & Partnerships
Coordinator

Coordinate with the Design team to create the sponsorship brochure and craft tiered sponsorship slabs
Build and maintain a database of potential sponsors
Create tailored pitch decks, conduct research, and reach out to aligned companies
Pitch effectively, and negotiate monetary/in-kind deals
Maintain strong, transparent communication with all partners throughout the journey
Close meaningful non-monetary collaborations that add value to the event
Ideate new revenue streams in coordination with all other heads
Coordinate with the Accounts section of the college for approvals and reimbursements.
Design & Branding Coordinator

Create an effective brand identity for the event based on the decided theme
Undertake execution of the theme reveal video
Design print media and merchandise for publicity of the event ( tshirts, hoodies, invites, badges, posters,
banners, standees, event booklets, notepads, calendars, etc)
Design social media material including reels, posts, stories, etc
Plan and execute installations and props about the theme for the event
Photography and videography as required for digital and print mediums, as well as documentation of
the BTS of the event
Designing and publishing of the event website
Act as mentors for incoming Sub-Coordinators (freshers) by guiding them in basics of design software
Draft content for UCEED Masterclass slides, session descriptions, and mentoring tips for design aspirants.
Outreach & Collaborations
Coordinator

Coordinate outreach efforts to secure registrations for the X- Masterclass, ensuring a strong participant turnout
Strategize and execute publicity campaigns to promote X-MUN in the Hyderabad circuit, reaching a wide range
of students and youth
Work with the Public Relations & Networking and the Content & Curation domain to conduct X-MU
Curate press and media coverage for TEDxIITHyderabad through partnerships with local newspapers and other
media channels
Target high school, university students, and youth professionals to maximize TEDx event registrations and
participation
Build relationships with schools and educational institutions to foster collaboration and increase event visibility
Utilize cost-effective promotional channels, such as Unstop, to expand event reach
Conduct campus visits and promotional activities outside the campus to drive interest and registrations.
Public Relations & Networking
Coordinator

Identify and select potential speakers from diverse fields such as technology, business, and entertainment
Reach out to potential speakers, build relationships, and serve as the primary point of contact between speakers
and TEDxIITHyderabad
Coordinate with the Operations and Logistics team to arrange travel and accommodation for speakers
Establish and maintain partnerships with other TEDx organizations for collaboration opportunities
Increase TEDxIITHyderabad’s visibility within the community by partnering with influencers and organizations to
create excitement
Oversee the production and sales of official TEDxIITHyderabad merchandise
Enhance the audience experience by incorporating interactive engagement throughout the event
Encourage other educational institutions to initiate their own TEDx events, fostering a broader network of idea-
sharing platforms as part of TEDx India Accelerator
Provide mentorship and guidance to emerging TEDx organizers, assisting them in planning and executing their
inaugural events.
Operations & Logistics
Coordinator

Coordinate the operations & logistics team. This involves delegating tasks, overseeing sub-coordinators or team
activities
Responsible for creating a detailed expenditure sheet for each activity, considering all associated costs. This
expenditure sheet will be used for creating the overall budget
Oversee the Logistics and execution of TEDx events like X-MUN, X-Masterclasses and more. This includes coordinating
dates, venues, logistics, and ensuring compliance with any relevant regulations or college policies
Operations & Logistics domain will collaborate with other domains for required instances and workings for execution
Maintain Logistics & procurement of necessary services required for TEDx events
Cater to the needs of the speakers, authorities, sponsors as well as the audience on the day of TEDx main event
(including accommodation, flights, etc.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors, venues, and other external partners. Negotiate contracts and ensure
that external partners meet their commitments
Partner with vendors for videography and photography for the event and through post-event delivery of the media.
Content & Curation Coordinator

Archive all Content guidelines and resources throughout the year to create a repository of all TedX related
deliverables that can be edited and repurposed based on context, anytime in the future
Decide on a theme for the event, as well as the topics of the talks, with a broad scope for interpretation.
Coordinate with concerned domains for conduction of X-MUN & X-Masterclass inside campu
Shortlist and select potential speakers from the community, from various fields such as Technology,
Entertainment, Design, and more In collaboration with PR & Networkin
Work with speakers on the content, deck, and timing of their talks. And ensure the talks are in accordance with the
TEDx guidelines
Schedule talks, breaks, and other events for TEDxIITHyderabad Talks, in collaboration with concerned domains.
Generate all the necessary content under TEDxIITHyderabad for social media, the TED website, the description of
the TEDx talks, ‘theme description, etc. & work along with concerned domain to post TEDxIITHyderabad Newsletter
posting biweekly to IITH Mails.
Lead of main stage activities during TEDxIITHyderabad Talks
Conduct a rehearsal with the speakers prior to the event.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must be a regular, full time registered
student of the institute and should not be a distance/
proximate education student
The candidate should not have attached any disciplinary
actions by the Institute
The candidate should be considered as a positive role
model by the student community
The nomination of the candidate does not attract any
negative feedback in writing from any faculty member or
staff member of the Institute.
