COMPANY BACKGROUND
AWA Marketing Services (Pvt) limited trading as Allied Fire Technicians was established in the
year 1997 and was registered in terms of the Companies Act (Chapter24:03).

2. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Awa Marketing Services (Pvt) Limited is a specialized company that is involved in the
supplying, fixing, plumbing and servicing of firefighting equipment ranging from dry
chemical powder(DCP), Water (WCO2), Foam(AFFF) and Carbon dioxide
(CO2) Extinguishers, we also supply and service fire hose reels and plumbing.

3. AIM
Awa Marketing Services aims to be a leader in the provision of quality products and
backup services in the field of fire protection and plumbing services.

4. COMPANY OBJECTIVES
• To be a leading provider of equipment related to fire fighting and plumbing
service equipment.
• To provide high quality services at reasonable costs.
• To create employment.
• To enhance private sector participation in the economy.

5. QUALITY CONTROL
At Awa Marketing Services we thrive to meet stakeholder expectations through the
provision of high quality products and services and this has been achieved through the
engagement of highly qualified personnel whose experience in fixing and servicing fire
equipment spans two decades.

To ensure that quality is maintained to the satisfaction of our client we offer the
following as an incentive to our clients:

• Free survey and demonstrations in the use of extinguishers on premises.


• We carry out fire drills free of charge.
• Training in the proper care and use of firefighting equipment.
• Our maintenance team carries periodical inspections before the equipment is
due for service so as to eliminate disruptions.
6. COMPANY ACTIVITIES
Awa Marketing Services offer a wide range of activities such as:

Fire Activities

a) Installation of Fire Equipment.

b) On Site Servicing: fire equipment is never removed from the site unless absolutely
necessary.

c) Training and demonstration of fire equipment for customer’s staff at each branch
and for convenience we make appointments with the staff so that we train them at
such a time that does not disrupt work activities, such as training on how to use
different fire extinguishers and flammable liquids.

Fire Sprinkler Systems

a) Installation of fire sprinkler systems.


b) Service and repairs of fire sprinkler systems.
c) Installation and service of fire hydrant systems.

Fire detection and Suppression systems

a) Installation of fire alarm bells and fire detection systems.


b) Service and repair of fire alarm and fire detection system.
c) Installation of fire suppression systems.
d) Service and repair of fire suppression systems.

Plumbing Activities

At Awa Marketing Services we also provide extensive plumbing services such as;

a) Installation of new and complete water and sewerage systems to new and old
buildings.

b) Repairing of leaking pipes and toilet drains.

c) Unblocking of storm drains.

d) Roof leaks.

f) Gutter cleaning.

g) Urinary and cisterns.

h) Plumbing repairs.

The company’s headquarters is Suite 109, Pollack House 30 Robson Manyika Avenue,
Harare

The company is hundred percent Zimbabwean Owned Company.

9. MANAGEMENT Managing Director

Awa Marketing Services (Private) Limited is led by the company founder Mr. A
Mandibvira who has ably led the company since June 1997 and has invaluable
experience in the field of fire protection. Mr. A. Mandibvira has previously worked at
AFA Angus as a technician from 1994 to 1997 before he left to pursue his personal
vision.

Finance Director

The finance department is headed by Mr. A. Matsvairo a banker by profession who has
previously worked for the Commercial bank of Zimbabwe for twenty years and he is in
charge of the company’s finance and administration.

Service Team

Awa Marketing Services has a staff compliment of four employees who covers all the 10
provinces within Zimbabwe and has received training from the City of Harare Fire
Department and have all been awarded with certificates of competences.

All personnel have received specialized training to ensure familiarity with service
equipment and training has been done in accordance with the fire protection code of
practice.
