PLAY: THE LIFE OF JESUS

Narrator: A long time ago, on an unforgettable day, in the city of Bethlehem


Jesus the Savior was born.

1 scene: Joseph, Mary, and Jesus in the manger

Narrator: The Bible tells us that each day Jesus grew 'in grace and
wisdom and to the twelveYears was in the temple talking with the masters
from her

2 scene: Jesus (teenager and highlighted) sitting with a Bible surrounded


of men.
Narrator: And at the age of 30, Jesus began his ministry here on earth. A
ministry filled with miracles and wonders. The blind saw, the lame
and we went, the deaf heard, the lepers were cleansed and if we were
to recount each of his miracles would fill all the books in the world and
we wouldn't finish.

1st MIRACLE– THE BLIND BARTIMAEUS

Narrator: 'And Jesus went out'from Jericho with his disciples and a great
crowd, Bartimaeus, the blind man, son of Timaeus, was sitting by the
path, begging
SCENE 3: A blind man by the side of the road, all dirty, suddenly comes
a crowd with Jesus in the middle and people are saying: "Jesus" "Jesus"
then the blind man listens and starts to shout (very loudly)

(CEGO) --- Jesus,Son of David, have mercy on me.


Narrator: And the people reprimanded him, telling him to be quiet.

(MAN) --- SHUT UP!


Narrator: But he cried out more and more loudly.
Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me.

Narrator: And Jesus, stopping, said to call him:

JESUS: --- Let's call– not until here

And they called the blind man.

4th SCENE: Someone runs to help the blind man get up and says:

Man: --- Get up, Jesus is calling you!


5th SCENE: The blind man is brought to Jesus and Jesus asks:

(JESUS) --- What do you want me to do for you?

(CEGO) --- Master, may I see.

JESUS Your faith has saved you.


Narrator: And soon he regained his sight and started to follow Jesus.

6th SCENE: The Blind Man starts looking around, the people remain.
looking amazed, Jesus starts walking and the blind man begins to follow Him (everything
this simultaneously.

2 MIRACLE– The Adulterous Woman

Narrator: Once Jesus was in the temple teaching when the scribes and
the Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery

Scene 7: A woman enters with two men holding her and many people.

PHARISEE: --- Master, this woman was caught in the very act,

Narrator: But Jesus remained silent, writing in the sand with the
finger, but they insist.
8th SCENE: Jesus then looks at them and says:

He who among you is without sin, let him throw the first stone.
Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

Narrator: When they heard this, the ashamed people they left one a
one, starting from the oldest to the last; only Jesus and the
woman who was in the middle.

Scene 9: Then he bends down again and writes with his finger in the sand, the
people bow their heads in shame and one by one they begin to release the
ashamed stones withdrew until only Jesus and the woman remained.
Jesus raises his head, looks at the woman, and asks:
JESUS --- Woman, where are those accusers of yours? No one has condemned you.
condemned?
The woman lifts her head and says:

ADULTEROUS WOMAN --- No one, Sir

JESUS Neither do I condemn you; go, and sin no more.

Neither do I condemn you; go, and sin no more.


JESUS IN GETHSEMANE

Narrator: But each day drew closer– be more in the moment of the Lord
Jesus fulfilled what he had come to do here on earth.

10th SCENE: Jesus kneeling with his head bowed and hands together praying
as this is a moment when Jesus is in intense agony
interesting that he was with a sweaty face
JESUS --- My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; yet, not
be as I want, but as you want.
Narrator: And Judas who had been looking for an opportunity for some time to
deliver to Jesus followed by several soldiers enters the garden to arrest him
Jesus
11th SCENE: When Jesus finishes praying, Judas enters followed by
soldiers take him to Jesus. At this moment, the narrator appears and begins to
speak (While the narrator is speaking, this will be the moment when the
the crucifixion scene is prepared, as it is the climax of the play to see
impactful

CRUCIFIXION

Narrator: As we arrive at another Christmas and look at the world that


we live and see only: Wars, deaths, misery, destroyed families,
selfish men more friends of their own pleasures than of God.
the true meaning of Christmas seems so far away from us. No one
is willing to share or give up anything for your neighbor. But
It is important that we never forget that more than 2,000 years ago there existed
a man named Jesus who suffered for you: He was spat on, whipped,
trampled and humiliated suffered the worst of deaths the DEATH OF THE CROSS!

Scene 12: At that moment, Jesus appears on the cross and he looks up to the sky and
shout

JESUS --- MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?


After a few seconds, he/she says:

JESUS --- IT IS FINISHED

Jesus bows his head and surrenders the Spirit. At that moment, all of the
lights (if possible) And a deafening sound of an earthquake is played and the
narrator says:

Narrator: "And the veil of the temple was torn and the day denied its"
LIGHT

Next, a very sad sound is played...


RESURRECTION

Narrator: After three days, Mary and Mary Magdalene go to the tomb where
Jesus is buried and upon arriving there, they are startled because the stone is rolled away and
the tomb is empty and on the stone sits an angel who says:
ANGEL --- Do not be afraid! I know that you are looking for Jesus, He is not here.
Here he has risen as he said! Go and tell the others!
Mary Magdalene looks at the other Mary and says:

MARY MAGDALENE --- Jesus has risen! Let's go tell the


others!

Scene 13: In this scene, Mary and Mary Magdalene walk sadly.
to the tomb when they get there they are astonished because they see the
empty tomb, when the angel speaks to them their faces become
suddenly happy they talk and run out.

Narrator: And since then we have known the story of the Son of God,
He who loved us so much that he gave himself for us, so that we...
may we repent of our sins and have eternal life. Jesus
the one who gave us your everything without expecting anything in return!

Goodbye Kelly

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son
that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
