This is a letter written for the leader of a Technology company with a mission of Making
and Creating healthy applications and websites for young people who want to learn and
achieve new skills in life.
In this situation I created, I just want to focus on the content of the letter, so the format
is not necessary.
Dear Mr. Tyler,
I wrote this letter to tell you about myself. I’m a candidate applying for a position in your
company. My name is Bui Duy Thai, I’m a Second year college student at Hanoi University
of Science and Technology. I major in Digital Communication & Multimedia Engineering -
one of the advanced programs. As a second year student, I have actively taken part in
many activities and academic projects at the university. But only when I had the chance
to support other students as a Digital Electronic teaching assistant have I found joy and
meaningful experiences. I found that very exciting and quite fun. I’m responsible for
correcting the assignment and supporting the students with some parts of the lectures. I
love being in front of other people, talking and presenting about some topics. I realize
that there are many students with good marks but bad presentation skills. I can help
them with that and it makes me feel very happy. I can understand the psychology of your
main customers with the age between 15-25, and can work well with them.
My greatest strengths lie in communication, leadership, and adaptability. I enjoy the
atmosphere and the energy of every stage that I stand on. When I work with other
students as a group doing a project, I always ask to be a presenter of the group. For
example, this semester I and my friends are working on 4 projects and I was trusted to
be the presenter of 3 projects including the Computer Graphic project - which I’m the
leader of. However, my coding skills are not good so I had to learn and ask my teammates
a lot. The lack of coding skills causes me some trouble while studying subjects about
computers. But in the near future, I will improve my coding by learning 2 free courses
from MIT Open Course Ware on the internet about Javascript and SQL. If I have a chance
to work for you, I’m sure that my skill and my will of learning will make you assured.
In the next 5 years, I aim to graduate with good academic performance. While studying at
University, I want to improve other skills, make contact with other people and gain
experience by joining and seeking jobs in Human Development. At the moment I’m
working as a Volunteer at Mentally Fit Vietnam CO. and a member of a Human
Development start-up “Open Sesame” with a view of developing life-skills of teenagers.
In the future, I want to stick with the company and the start-up to gain more experiences
and make contact with other people who are better and more experienced than me. But I
always dream of a start-up of myself which is the combination of Computer Science,
Psychology Knowledge and Human Development. First step, in the next 5 years, I will
create an app for people who want to keep track of their daily life, learn new habits and
find peace by doing small things every day.
A decade from now, I envision expanding my startup into a multidisciplinary company
focused on education and well-being. Personally, I aspire to achieve financial stability to
support my family, including building a home for my parents and marrying my partner.
Ultimately, I want to share my experiences to mentor young people, fostering better
mindsets and skills. My long-term mission is to balance professional success with family
life, ensuring I can contribute meaningfully to both my community and my loved ones.
According to my goals and your company’s missions, I think we are looking in the same
direction. I can contribute to your projects as a presenter, developer and coder. I can also
lead the meetings in the company, organize events and coach the younger generations.
In conclusion, I think I’m suitable for the company and your company will make progress
and boost the performance with my appearance.
