LAW 1230 - LEGAL METHODS, RESEARCH AND WRITING

ASSIGNMENT No. 2 - OUTLINING

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THIS ASSIGNMENT FULLY AND


CAREFULLY.

Prepare an OUTLINE of any ONE of your Criminal Law 1 (Law 1110) OR Law and Legal
Systems (Law 1010) worksheets using the guidance provided in lectures, tutorials and the hand-
out uploaded on OurVLE.

FORMAT
 The assignment must be typed; double spaced
 Do not include covers or any lines, boxes or designs (including the University crest)
 Single side on standard-size ( 8½ x 11) paper, with one-inch margins;
 You must use 12-point Times New Roman font;
 Include a cover page (sample attached), indicating:
(a) The course code and title : LAW 1230 – Legal Methods, Research and Writing
(b) Assignment No. 2 - Outlining
(c) Your tutor’s name
(d) Your tutorial day and time
(e) Your student identification number NOT your name
 Pages must be numbered at the bottom centre of each page starting with page one;
 Your student identification number in to be placed in the right top corner of each page.
 Paper must be stapled once in the top left of the first page
 A copy of the worksheet selected is to attached to the back of your assignment.

DEADLINE
The date and time for your assignment is December 13, 2019 no later than 1 pm.

The assignment must be completed and submitted ON TIME. No LATE assignment will be
accepted and no request for extension entertained. Persons failing to complete the assignment on
time will be given on marks.

A hard copy is to be submitted at the Faculty Office (where a receipt will be given) AND the
identical soft copy to be uploaded to the drop box created on OurVLE. If students have
challenges uploading the soft copy they are to email to the law secretary at
[email protected] the subject line of the email should be your ID number and
assignment number. (e.g. 620000000 –LMRW Assignment 2)

In submitting your assignment you will be acceding to this Honour Code Declaration; to be
placed on a separate page at the back of your assignment:
