The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective Teens By Sean Covey
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey is a modified version of his father s book,
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Unlike Stephen Covey, who wrote his book with the
audience of adults in mind, his son s book is targeted towards teens. Covey avoids the academic
writing style that one will find in Stephen s and delivers the seven habits model in an easy to read,
humorous style that does not lose any of the impact of the seven habits (Change Management
Coach). Being both entertaining and visually appealing, Covey goes deep into the seven habits while
adding life experiences of both him and family. Included are also the stories of teens around the
country. Each habit builds upon the next; therefore you cannot have habit two and three without
habit one. Although together, the habits makeup an effective teen, separately, they each help in
different ways, mentally and socially. In the following sentences, the habits are told in order. Habit
one stands for proactivity, taking responsibility for your actions and life. The second habit,
beginning with the end in mind, means that throughout life, people should know what they want and
have a plan, whether or not it is something small or a bigger goal. Habit three is all about
prioritizing and putting the important things first so that they do not become so urgent in the future.
The first three habits are all about oneself and one s self victory . Before winning in the public
arenas of life, one must first
Night in William Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream...
Night in William Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream One of the recurring themes
throughout Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream is the time of day during which the play s
major action takes place: night. This being the case, there are certain words that are directly linked to
this theme that appear numerous times throughout the script. Four such words are moon, moonlight,
moonshine, and lunatic. Each comes from a feminine root that serves to identify the women in the
play as prizes to be won and controlled. It becomes clear when looking up the term moon in the
Oxford English Dictionary that the word is associated with the feminine. In poetry, for instance, the
moon is often personified, always as female... ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Theseus looks to the moon to measure how soon he will wed his fiancé, Hippolyta. Hippolyta
responds in kind, commenting, And then the moon, like to a silver bow / New bent in heaven,
shall behold the night / Of our solemnities (1.1.7, 14). Not only does the bride speak of the moon
as a measurement (for when it becomes a silver bow, or crescent, they wed), but she also speaks
of the night when the moon wanes as a time of festive marriage ceremonies. It is important to take
into account the character of Hippolyta in this instance. Having Theseus wed Hippolyta, Queen
of the Amazons, takes away Hippolyta s power as a strong female. She, too, is counting the nights
by the waning of the moon until she is legitimately wed and under the control of a husband. The
lesser characters, below royalty in the social order, take part in illicit happenings veiled by night,
as the moon oversees the activities of May Day/Midsummer s Eve. The moon is considered a
passive overseer or witness to (the actions of humankind) (Brown 1645). In the forest of Oberon
and Titania, the moon is truly an observer. Within a monologue by Titania, the fairy queen
announces, Therefore the moon, the governess of floods, / Pale in her anger, washes all the air,
/ That rheumatic diseases do abound (2.1.102, 29). Titania speaks of her quarrel with Oberon in this
instance and how it affects all of nature. Their effect on the natural world is so strong that when they

The Red Tails: Their influence from the ground and up. Being the first of anything is never easy,
especially when you are representing a whole race. Knowing this, it was difficult for the Tuskegee
Airmen, a.k.a. Red Tails for the red mark on the tail of their aircraft, to participate in World War II
as the first African American pilots in history. They served from 1943 1945, collecting marvelous
records and earning great respect for their performance. But most importantly, the Red Tails helped
attain equal rights for African Americans. The Tuskegee Airmenshowed persistence in the struggle

The continuing inefficiencies caused by segregation so hampered the training efforts of the 477th
that it never obtained full strength before the war s end and was thus never assigned to combat.
(McLaurin Melton 1032). Segregation was a major limiting factor of Black aviation, however,
through pressure from several directions, the American Air Force yielded and created one of the five
fighter groups, which was a great advancement. When the African American fighter groups finally
graduated from Tuskegee University, with great pride and courage, they proved that African
Americans are capable of doing anything other can do. The Tuskegee Airmen graduated from
Tuskegee University and formed 4 all black squadrons which would merge to become the 332nd
squadron in Spring of 1943. When they were given their first mission to strafe the island of
Pantelleria, they did not fail. In jaded, old P 39 and P 40 aircrafts, documented by the national
museum of the United States Air Force, it is recorded at that same day, that the Allies, secured the
Italian island of Pantelleria. ( Davis leads the 99th into Combat ). It continues, stating, The unit

Why Did Sodastream Fail In Advertising
Scarlett Johansson s Sodastream ad fails on a number of levels in its bid to become a viral
marketing sensation. The first major issue that occurs during the advertisement itself is Scarlett s
statement to the effect of how do I make this go viral? I believe that the use of this statement
alone was enough to end the ads chances of going viral, as nobody feels comfortable sharing a
video that doesn t feel genuine in its attempt at reaching consumers. It similar to one of this
generations major problems with advertisements that fail to feel like anything more than a hollow
attempt to sell a product. The other examples given don t explicitly ask to go viral (with the
exception of the second most poorly received video, Jennifer Anniston s Smartwater), and they all
received millions of extra views and feel more authentic as a result. The message or goal should
never feel forced in any advertisement, and Sodastream certainly failed in that regard. A second
issue with this ad is the belief that it had any of the characteristics to support a viral campaign. The
message fails to provide any social value as the consumer doesn t learn anything new or exciting
about the product or the brand, and the ad fails at giving any chance or reason for engagement.

Religion By John Steinbeck s East Of Eden
Religion is a central theme in John Steinbeck s East of Eden. Religion constantly appears through
the similarities between the Cain and Abel story, the Hebrew word timshel, and the presence of
God and Fate in the novel. Throughout the book, the characters struggle with the ideas of good and
evil, and choice and freewill. As the story unfolds and progresses, we see the characters deal with
these things with religion being the base and the root that the book lays upon.
The biblical story of Cain and Abel plays a central role in the novel East of Eden. In Genesis , Adam
and Eve s sons, Cain and Abel, offered sacrifices to God. The shepherd Abel sacrifices his best lamb,
while the farmer Cain offers grain. Because God prefers Abel s gift over Cain s, Cain becomes
infuriated and kills his brother in a jealous rage.
Adam asked, Do you know where your brother is?
No, I don t, said Cal. . . .
He hasn t been home for two nights. Where is he?
How do I know? said Cal. Am I supposed to look after him? (410)
This exchange between Adam and Cal is a direct parallel with the exchange between God and Cain
that appears in the book of Genesis in the Bible. After Cain murders Abel, God realizes that Abel is
missing and asks Cain where Abel is. Cain retorts, I know not; am I my brother s keeper? Adam
and Cal s reenactment of this conversation links them explicitly to the biblical story and cements Cal
and Aron, respectively, as surrogates for Cain and Abel. The characters of
Desalination Research Paper
After years of water shortages plaguing the southeast of Queensland the state government decided to
build a desalination plant, at Tugun, on the Gold Coast in 2009. After only 2 months after the taps
were finally turned on, the State Government s $1.2 billion desalination plant was shut down for five
weeks of repair. (task sheet) The main problem the desalinationplant faced was corrosion. The two
giant stainless tanks used to store desalinated water had to be replaced because of corrosion and
more than 100m of rusting pipe had to be replaced.
DESALINATION
Desalination is the process of removing dissolved salts and minerals from seawater or brackish water.

(Capital Painting. Factors That Affect the Rate of Corrosion. ) Oxygen can affect corrosion as it
increases the rate of it. When an electrolyte is in contact with an area of metal containing high
amounts of oxygen it is cathodic relative to the remaining surface. Which results in an oxygen
concentration cell to form and causes rapid corrosion. The rate of corrosion is generally much slower
in an oxygen deficient environment, because without oxygen the reduction reaction could not occur,
which would mean corrosion not being able to take place. (Capital Painting. Factors That Affect the
Rate of Corrosion. ) Temperature too can affect corrosion, as corrosion reactions are electrochemical
in nature and are normally accelerated with increasing temperatures. (Capital Painting. Factors That
Affect the Rate of Corrosion. ) Therefore corrosion reacts faster in warmer temperatures. Another
factor that can affect corrosion in chemical salts. Chemical salts increase the rate of corrosion by
them increasing the efficiency (conductivity) of the electrolyte. (Capital Painting. Factors That
Affect the Rate of Corrosion. ) Seawater contains the most common chemical salt of sodium chloride
therefore increasing the amount of corrosion. Humidity is another factor that affects corrosion, as
the wetter the environment, the more likely corrosion is likely to

plane, it could accommodate 14 stretcher patients and three nurses. Seven basic versions were
built. Every branch of the military flew it and all the allied powers flew it. The Navy version of
the C 47 was the R4D. The aircraft operated in every continent in the world and participating in
every major battle. The outside of the Douglas C 47 was a fundamental shape of smooth rolling
contours, low mono plane wing set, tubular cabin and a single vertical tail. Two engines where
mounted on each wing providing 1,200 horsepower. The co pilot and the pilot sat at the extreme
