facts become available.

2. Inference Engine

expert by following one or more reasoning strategies.
 There are two primary types of reasoning mechanisms used in the inference engine:
o Forward Chaining: A data-driven approach where the engine starts with known facts

the domain. For instance:

4. Explanation System

 The explanation system is an important component that provides the user with the reasoning

 For example, if a medical expert system suggests a diagnosis, the explanation system may detail

5. Knowledge Acquisition System

It is the interface through which new knowledge is entered into the system. This process can be
