CSE 3411: System Analysis and Design
Class Test 3
Total Marks: 20
Deadline: 27 June 2025

Instructions:
The assignment should be handwritten. The softcopy should be submitted on elms.
There are 2 questions in the Class test.

Q1 Light Yagami is a student at United International University and enrolled in the System 5
Analysis and Design Course. His professor uses ELMS (E-Learning Management System) to
manage all class-related activities. Each morning, Light logs into ELMS using his university
email and password.

As he opens the "SAD [H] Spring 2025" course page, he sees a dashboard with the latest
announcements and materials. Today, his professor posted a new assignment titled "Class
Test 3" The assignment includes a description, a downloadable PDF, and a clearly marked due
date.

Light clicks on the assignment, reads the instructions, and uses the "Submit Assignment"
button to upload his solution as a Google Doc. After reviewing his submission, he clicks "Turn
in" and instantly receives an email confirmation.

Later in the day, the professor posts a quiz under the "Assessments" section using ELMS’s
built-in quiz feature. Light opens the quiz, answers the questions, and submits it. Right after
submission, he sees his score and feedback for the auto-graded questions.

Under the "Participants" tab, Light finds his project teammates and sends a message to
coordinate work on their upcoming group task. He also checks the "Grades" tab to view marks
and feedback on past assignments.

Light accesses ELMS not only from his laptop but also from his mobile phone while sailing.
Even with weak internet signals, the system loads quickly. The layout automatically adapts to
different screen sizes, and push notifications inform him about new assignments and grades.

Based on this scenario, try to identify and list the functional and non-functional features of
the ELMS system.
Q2 Draw the User Interface Page for the “assessment section” and “dashboard” page for ELMS 5+5+
software. You need to hand draw this User Interface page. Mention the design principles you 5
have followed for drawing this User Interface Page.
