I highly suggest that you use dumbbells often because of the fact that they give your arms that
specific and targeted workout. Make sure that you don t always do bicep curls, as there are many
other types of exercises that you can do to make dumbbells more powerful to use. For example,
you can place the dumbbells out in front of you and allow for the weight to take over. Hold onto it
as hard as you can and enjoy the burning sensations in your arms. They can help you out
tremendously with gaining more muscles. You will find out later on that dumbbells are some of the
most important things to do in a men s bodybuilding workout program. The best part is that you can
always do different types of variations in the
Husserl s Psychic Phenomenon
Discuss Husserl s criticism and appropriation of Brentano s psychic phenomenon in the Vth Logical
Investigation.
It is in the Vth of Husserl s Logical Investigations that he offers his own theory on what is
necessary to overcomes the issues of the already existing descriptive psychology which had been
practised by his own mentor Brentano. Husserl did not aim to completely criticise Brentano s work
but instead wanted to take what he considered useful of Brentano s work on the psychic
phenomenon and use it as necessary to work on his own account of phenomenology of the conscious
mind and intentional acts. Husserl focused primarily on Brentano s accounts of mental acts,
primarily those of presentations and judgements. In this paper we will ... Show more content on

Husserl did not feel Brentano s account of object and content was dealt with in a very organised
manner and this led to much ontological dispute, primarily in his use of the term inexistence when
referring to an intentional object. Husserl dedicates an excessive amount of the Fifth Logical
Investigation to a vigilant undoing of Brentano s claims regarding different explanations of
consciousness and especially takes this opportunity to focus on the Brentano s law which states no
mental act which is not either presentation or based on a presentation. Husserl agreed loosely with
Brentano s law on presentation but believed the correct way to look at it was his own notion of
objectifying acts. Husserl also suggests a more broad division between act quality and substance to
take care of characteristics inaccurately gathered beneath the label of content. The main issue
Husserl had with Brentano was how he had ambitions to specify the sphere and the system of
psychology in order to protect its place as a self governing science. This sphere was a sphere of
mental phenomenon, and its process was that of internal insight. Brentano began by distinguishing
rational and physical phenomenon followed by his division of phenomena as a presence to
consciousness and not
HOBY Leadership Scholarship
I am writing you today because I would love to go to the HOBY leadership conference. Hopefully in
this paper I can inform you on why I want to go, what I hope to learn, and how I will use the skills
that I am taught. My first point of interest is why I want to go. I would like to go because I believe
that I have potential to be a great leader in the schooland community. With the help of this
conference I can start to fully develop my potential. As I said before the second point that I want
to dress is what I would like to learn. While at this conference I would like to get more
comfortable talking to people. I feel that this is one of the main hindrances for me and my career
as a leader. I struggle going up to someone I ve never met before and asking about them and
investing in them. In my opinion this is a very important qualification for a leader. Another thing
that I would like to improve is confidence. I think that this is tied to my inability to be a good
communicator. When I m confident I talk to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Right now I would use it in my school and work life. At school you can be a leader in so many
different areas. I am involved in a lot of these such as band where I could potentially be a section
leader. I would have to communicate with and lead the people playing the same instrument as well
as communicate with Schmitt. In order to be a great athlete you have to be a leader. I believe that I
am a lead by example person, but I need to be more vocal. Communication with coaches and
teammates is a huge aspect of that. I can also use the skills in the classroom. Again it comes back
to communicating with teachers and doing everything right that you can. As I conclude my paper
and read over it I notice how much communication plays a role in being a good leader. Even if I am
not selected for this opportunity I hope that I can improve my communication and confidence. I want
to thank you for your time and
Top Competitors in The Personal Computer Industry
The PC industry is highly competitive and constantly changing as technology evolves and customer
needs change. Some of the top competitors in the PC industry are IBM, Hewlett Packard, Dell and
Apple. Theses rivals are constantly jockeying for the top competitor s position. They compete in
prices, product innovation, advertising, etc.
In the early 1980s the top competitor in this industry was IBM due to its open system and ease of
being cloned. During this same time, Apple struggled to keep pace and changed its competitive
strategy multiple times. From 1980 to 1993 Apple positioned itself in the computer industry as the
company that provides easy to use desktops with superior software and hardware. Unlike its
competitors, Apple did ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Despite these initiatives, Apple s competitive range was mediocre compared to its competitors.
The next strategy was to return to an old business practice which was Apples premium prices. But
this strategy, like the others, did not boost the company s competitive advantage.
In 1997, Steve Jobs returned to Apple as an advisory and with the purposes of reshaping the product
line. The changes made by Jobs resulted in increased sales and $309 million in profits. Job changed
the mindset of Apples management and development team. He encourage them to have the think
different management style that promotes the development of products that are ahead of the
technology and design curve, and a creative retail strategy. It is this strategy that would eventually
make Apple the best selling company in the PC industry.
Jobs also changed the pricing strategy and focused on value based pricing that provided customers
with premium products at a premium price. Product pricing has specifically set Apple apart from its
competitors. Apple believed that they could create demand for their products which would give the
company power over prices through product differentiation, innovative advertising, ensured brand
loyalty, and hype around the launch of new products (Nair, 2014). Apple s aggressive competitive
strategy paid off and in 2013, the company was named the World s Most Innovative Company.

What Is The Premier League Essay
After a successful first season in the English Premier League, AFC Bournemouth would be looking
to finish even higher than last season s 9th place. There was even talk of European qualification
amongst the supporters, but the Premier League has become even more competitive in recent season
s, with more clubs fighting it out for the EPL title and even more teams with aspirations to qualify
for European competitions. But the Premier Leaguecan throw up the odd surprise (as in Leicester
City), so who knows maybe this could be the Cherries year.

The off season saw Bournemouth strengthen their first team squad with three exciting signings,
including the return of fan favourite Jermain Defoe, who went on a 10 goal scoring run while on loan

Defoe came into the fray to try and improve things, but it was Ryan Fraser and Josh King that
provided Bournemouth with their best chances.

First game at the Vitality Stadium saw AFC Bournemouth host a Watford side who were also
looking to bounce back from an opening day defeat. It was the visitors that wanted it more, with
both their goals coming in the second half to get the 0 2 win. Once again as with the opening day,
Bournemouth struggled to create chances in front of goal with just 2 shots on target, as opposed to
the Hornets 7. Again Defoe came into the game to make a difference, but Watford appeared the
more comfortable on the ball and looked the more likely to score.

If the first two defeats were hard to stomach, hosting Manchester City s megastars at the Vitality
Stadium would prove an even harder test and ending with an even crueller result. It was the Cherries
that took the lead with a stunning half volley from Charlie Daniels in the 12 minute. It was no more
than they deserved after a bright start to the first half. But it was not long until City started to find
their feet in the match and on the 21 minute Jesus got the equalizer. In the second half it was the
visitors that dominated the game, creating more chances in front of goal, but the Cherries remained
resolute and nearly retaking the lead when Josh King s shot hit the upright. But it was
Biography Of Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton s Antarctic...
Introduction Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton was an Irish born British explorer who led an
unsuccessful trans Antarctic expedition that nearly cost him and his crew of 27 their lives when his
ship, the Endurance, was trapped and eventually crushed by ice. The Endurance party repeatedly
faced what were surely going to be fatal situations; yet each time they beat the odds and survived.
While their survival may be in some part due to luck or providence, Shackleton s leadership is
widely credited with tipping the scales in their favor. This historic journey, documented in the
WBGH film Shackleton s Antarctic Adventure (2001), reveals some examples of Shackleton s
transformational and transactional leadership behaviors and traits. History On... Show more content

After 36 hours of trekking across the unmapped island, they arrived at the whaling station. Shortly
after Shackleton and his team arrived at Stromness, a boat was sent to rescue the other two crew
members on the opposite side of South Georgia. Shortly thereafter, Shackleton set out in a borrowed
ship to save the 22 men he had left behind on Elephant Island, but ice continually thwarted his
attempts for more than four more months. Finally, on August 30, 1916, Shackleton was able to
reach Elephant Island and rescue his stranded crew. As he neared land, he anxiously counted the
figures on the beach and told his second in command Worsley, They re all there, Skipper. They are
all safe (Shackleton s Antarctic Adventure (2001) @ 37:41). Miraculously, not a single life had been
lost during the two year ordeal. Lessons in leadership Bass s (1990) transformational transactional
leadership theory contains nine elements; charisma (or idealized influence), inspirational motivation,
intellectual stimulation, individualized consideration, contingent reward, management by exception
(active and passive), and Laissez Faire (no leadership). Shackleton demonstrated many of these
leadership elements while leading his crewmen on the Endurance expedition. Shackleton was
certainly charismatic. He was able to convince Sir James Key Caird to donate £24,000 (James
Caird Society, n.d.) to fund this expedition due to his charisma. He was also able to convince 27
men to follow him in his
The Importance Of Fairy Tales
Fairy Tale s Favorable Information Fairy tales are important due to the ability to enhance a child s
imagination and artistic intellect. On a deeper note, however, they allow for the development of
critical thinking skills, which, in turn, allow for children to make logical decisions based on the
choices that the characters make within the tale. They see the actions that the characters engage in
and, as a result, the consequences that follow, which allows them to analyze what happened and
why. In Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Hansel and Grethel, through the various
obstacles that Cinderella faces to be with the prince and her interaction with her step sisters, the
Queen s false intentions towards Snow White and her... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, Cinderella continues showing signs of good faith. Her love for her step sisters is
grandiose. Cinderella s behavior inculcates that everyone should be treated with love and respect.
She does a grand gesture demonstrating that her intentions are pure. According to Jacob and
Wilhelm Grimm, Cinderella, who was good as she was beautiful, gave her two sisters a home in
the palace, and that very same day married them to two great lords of the court (9). Cinderella s
love towards her step sisters is unconditional and her actions speaks for themselves. Instead of
punishing her sisters, in a sense, she is giving them a second chance. As stated before, Cinderella
shows that love and compassion is what every human being should receive, regardless of their
prior actions. Further, fairy tales, without a doubt, teach valuable lessons about being weary of
strangers. Stranger danger is, indeed, something that all children should know about. In Snow
White and the Seven Dwarfs, the concept of strangers being potentially dangerous is clearly
depicted through the actions of the evil queen. The dwarfs, for example, give Snow White explicit
safety precautions. According to Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, Once again they warned her to be on
guard and not to open the door for anyone (143). For the sake of Snow White s protection, she is
given a set of rules to which she must adhere to if she wants to stay safe. As children read this, they,
too, can learn from Snow White s

Uncertainty Information While measuring variables, uncertainty arose to accompany the values
recorded, each of which depended on the measuring tool or documented uncertainty. A summary of
the uncertainty information concerning the measured variables for the diffusivity testing of acetone

For all of the tests conducted, the same apparatus was used, and the sample materials in the system
were not altered between any of the tests. Seeing as the same apparatus was used for all tests, the
inner chamber diameter of 2 inches remained constant for all tests. Additionally, the apparatus was
purged with nitrogen immediately before the start of each trial to ensure that diffusion did not begin
before the start of the timer. The information that was recorded for each test included the elapsed
time, the weight of the condenser both before and after collecting the vapors, and the distance from
the point of collection to the gas liquid interface. In addition, the room temperature and pressure
was recorded each day due to the role of these measurements in calculating the predicted values. For
the testing of acetone, data was gathered at half hour intervals ranging from 30 minutes to 90
minutes. During these trials, the room temperature was recorded at 22.5℃ and the room pressure
was 29.18 inches Hg. Raw data for the transient diffusion trials of acetone can be found in Table 2:

Pablo Picasso s Impact On Guernica
Picasso s Guernica helped change our view on how the atrocities of war from unjust reasoning
effect society. For instance, by using larger than average size for a painting at the time and since
his work still to this day inspires deep thought. The year was 1937 and the World s Fair had just
requested Pablo Picassoa highly skillful and renowned artist to commission an antiwar painting that
depicted the bombing and senseless deaths of two thousand citizens in Guernica, Spain. Picasso
accepted their offer and immediately began creating hundreds of rough drafts depicting the small
town in Spain he loved so much. Later that same year at the World s Fair in Paris, France Guernica

Income Statement Of Cash Flow From Operations
Income statement
An Income statement or profit and loss statement, indicated amount of profits generated by a firm
over a given period, often 1 year in its most basic form, the income statement may be represented as
follows :

Sales Revenue Expenses =Net income

The income statement begins with sales or revenue, from which we subtract the cost of goods sold
to yield gross profits . Next, operating expenses are deducted to determine operating income.
Operating expenses includes marketing and selling expenses, general and administrative expenses
and depreciation expense. Finally by deducting the interest expense and the tax expense from the
operating income we get the net income.

Balance sheet
A balance sheet provides a snap short about the firm s financial position at a specific point in time,
presenting in time, presenting its asset holdings, liabilities and owner s supplied capital.

Statement of Cash flows

The statement of cash flows is being prepared in the firms, as because of it does not include accrual
basis items. It is an overview of cash flow from operations, cash flow from investment activities and
cash flow from financing activities
Cash flow from Operations + cash flow from investment opportunities +cash flow from
