Reign Of Terror Research Paper
The revolution started because france was in serious debt. People were starving because bread
prices were rising because of bad weather ruining their crops. No one had money, but people were
still being taxed unfairly. The goal of the revolution was for france to have a republican
government. The killing of king louis and Maximilien Robespierre taking over created the reign of
terror. The reign of terror was justified because the threats did require, the methods weren t to
extreme, and it did support the ideas of the revolution.
The government of the French Revolution Faced many threats internally and externally. A War
started in 1792 with Prussia and Austria. These countries feared that the spread of the revolution
might spread to their countries. In april of 1992 the austrians invaded france and easily captured
Longwy and Verdun. Nearly 10,000 French army officers didn t agree what was going on in france
so they moved to the austrian controlled netherland. these emigres then formed armies and allied
with france s foreign enemies. After 3 years of fighting France defeated ... Show more content on

In March 1793 the revolutionary Tribunal, which is a court of justice) was established to try all
crimes against the state. These Tribunal members could not be elected by the people. Watch
committees were also set up in every neighborhood to ferret out and expel and foreigners suspected
of counterrevolutionary activities. The committee of public safety employed a shadowy network of
informers and spies to keep france externally and internally safe. A careless word of criticism
spoken against the government could put one in prison or worse. (Doc E.) The guillotine became
one of the main killing machines in the French revolution. The people loved the idea of the
guillotine, when someone was being executed people were laughing chanting like they were at a
The Violence Of The Black Lives Matter By Alicia Garza,...
What started off as a tweet turned into a movement and has now become a full on war against
police. Many African Americans are outraged by police and want liberation, so they have joined
Black Lives Matter in hopes of change. In order to understand the movement, it is important to look
at the history, the agenda, and manifesto of this organization. The real questions at matter are what is
its purpose of this organization, how it is effecting law enforcement, and how is law enforcement
responding.
Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi are the creators of the now famous hash tag Black
Lives Matter. It was made as a call to action after George Zimmerman was not held accountable for
the fatal shooting of teen Trayvon Martin in 2012. This incident was what gave life to the Black
Lives Matter movement and has reframed the way Americans perceive police treatments of people of
color. It was not until 2014 when it exploded all over social media after a Ferguson police officer
killed a young black man named Michael Brown. The book Forces of Deviance: understanding the
dark side of policing says, African Americans tend to believe that the police were more corrupt,
more unfair, harsher, tougher, less friendly, and crueler than did whites. African Americans
generally were more dissatisfied with police service in comparison to the white population
(Kappeler, Sluder, Alpert 6). Ferguson was exposed as a case study of structural racism in America
and a metaphor for all that
The City Of Future Summary
Davis in his book describes that, years back Los Angeles was a heaven of public places but with
the present scenario it not the same and is slowly that culture is diminishing in the name of urban
renaissance. He quotes that democratic public spaces like parks, free beaches, cruising strips do not
exist anymore in the name of development. The intended purpose of this is to secure the city. In order
to protect the poor and provide shelter to the homeless the public parks and streets were
transformed to households. This urban renaissance is also called The City of Future by the author
who also affords to provide living for millions of aspiring immigrants.
The massive development of Los Angeles has created a diversity between various classes of
people. The architectural renovation was one of the primary steps taken by the city in order to
reduce the public spaces such as parks, grounds, empty lands which has driven the poor out of the
city. The people with no homes are only confined to small areas by police force. I think it is not
only Los Angeles as a particular city that created such a situation to the poor but also other
metropolitan cities where life has become helpless and Davis sees this issue as a concealed myth
which redefines the real history of Los Angeles warfare. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to create less exposure of downtown professionals to the streets, redevelopments of places
were done which ensure the gap between different classes. To establish the separation, new parking
structures are built with high security monitoring, greenery and as well as entertainment places in
some areas. Gentrification is especially seen in two major hubs such as the Reagan Building and
Grand Central Square which demands additional security all round the clock which says that the city
wants to portray only the good side of and not the

Did Emily Dickinson Use Alliteration In Because I Could...
Firstly, in Emily Dickinson s poem, Because I Could Not Stop for Death, the figurative language she
uses in it is personification. Personification is giving a non living this a human characteristic; in her
poem, she makes Death that human characteristic. Evidently, in the line Because I could not stop for
DeathHe kindly stopped for me, Emily is giving death a name and making it seem like Death is a
human itself. Another non living thing she gives a human trait is towards the end of her stanza,
immorality. Secondly, Emily Dickinsonuses Alliteration in her poem as well. The repletion of a
consonant sound in a poem is a Alliteration; therefore, she uses Alliteration is stanza 2, 3, 4, and 6.
Evidently, in stanza 2, it says, My labor

Khepera Mobile Robots for Search and Rescue Operation
Keywords: Mobile Robot, Explore Unknown Map with Obstacles, Gas Detection, V rep, Khepera III,
Albers Algorithm.
Abstract: Nowadays, using robots instead of humans in risk operations is an interesting point in
the field of robotics. In this paper we introduce an integrated approach for search and rescue
operation of detecting gas sources in large areas; e.g. houses, factories, and labs. This aims at
saving people s lives at bottlenecks resulting from gas leak and ignition of fires. Experiment is
performed using master Khepera robot supplied with gas sensor circuit to search map, in addition to
two slave Khepera supplied with gripper to take the best path to clinch the victim.
Moreover, this paper proposes an improvement of Albers exploration algorithm to reduce the time
required to explore unknown map with different polygon obstacles. The proposed approach aims to
minimizing the overall exploration time, making it possible to localize fire sources in an efficient
way, as demonstrated in
Vrep simulation as well as real world experiments with Khepera III robot. A comparison among
different algorithms has showed the effectiveness of the proposed one where the percentage of
performance speedup is about 30% to 57% depending on size of the map and number of obstacles.

Religion During The Medieval Era And The Renaissance Era
During the medieval era and the Renaissance era people had different perspectives on how they
viewed their world. The people during the medieval ages were very religious and relied on the
church, which held a lot of power. As well as, the development of feudalism created a divided
society with a fixed social hierarchy, with the lord at the top and peasants at the bottom. In the
Renaissancethey had more individualistic views and separated their views from the church. They
believed they could achieve excellence through individual efforts and not through the church.
The two authors in the primary sources had very different viewpoints on how they perceived their
world. Hadewijch letters and poems describe the love she has for God and He will reward them
with love if they crave it. Geoffrey Chaucer wrote about the class system and discussed religious
issues during the Renaissance era. Each discuss the world they saw and they show how different
the time periods were between the two and how religion played a key role in their own society.
There are different because religion changed the way they thought of life and literature made
education important to those in the medieval era. The medieval era concentrated on salvation and
the afterlife and in order to obtain that hey needed to live a good Christian life. In the primary
sources of Hadewijch she goes on to say that she loves God so much and she believes others love
Him with the same fondness. During this time, the Medieval
Challenges Faced By Senior Management
INTRODUCTION
The business environment of today is complex; thereby faster decisions have to be made and
better allocation of resource is essential with a clearer focus of the future. This poses a major
problem to senior management because organizations consist of a changing mix of large and
small projects which brings new challenges in prioritization of projects, resource planning and
monitoring (Elonen and Artto, 2003). According to Engwall and Jerbant (2003) cited in Kaizer et
al., 2015, the number of available project alternatives far outnumber the projects an organization
can handle at a given time with its limited resources, and making the right choice from all these
alternatives is rarely easy. Mankins and Steele (2005) cited in Meskendahl (2010) posits that only
63% of strategies potential values are realized by firms and Johnson (2004) cited in Meskendahl
(2010) reveals that about 66% of corporate strategy is never realised. Nonetheless, Hrebiniak (2006)
cited in Meskendahl (2010) states that making strategy work is more difficult than making strategy
itself. In other words, it is difficult for firms to put strategy into action. This is where Project
portfolio management (PPM) comes in. Building on this, the aim of this essay is to evaluate PPM
elements in an organization, discuss the tools and criteria used to support the decision making and
evaluation of project success, and consider the significance of PPM for other organizations that may
want to consider it.
Law 421 Contracts
Contracts
Contracts are an important part of everyday life. They are an essential part of business. As a
student of a business law class, I will discuss in this paper several aspects of contracts. This paper
will give a definition of a contract and the essential elements necessary to form a valid contract. It
will briefly discuss breach of contract and the difference between a material breach and a
nonmaterial breach of contract. Examples of legal and equitable remedies available for breach of
contracts will be highlighted. Also, legal excuses for nonperformance or other grounds for discharge
of contracts will be addressed. Finally, three types of common contracts personally and professionally
encountered will be mentioned.

Contracts can be discharged by complete performance or material non performance of the
contractual duty. For example: A contractor does not do any work promised on a bathroom, or
almost none, then the homeowner does not owe him anything. Therefore, the homeowner the non
breaching party is discharged and the contractor is liable for the breach of contract (lectriclaw,
2012). A cancellation can be effected if one party breaches the contract, or a termination can occur
when either party lawfully ends the contract for anything other than a breach. In this case, all
executor duties are discharged on both sides but in the event of a partial breach, there is still a
right to seek a remedy (lectriclaw, 2012). Procedures dealing with all aspects of contracts are a part
of everyday transactions and can affect every individual on one level or another.
In everyday living, contracts can be a basic part of individual life. On a personal level, there are
several types of contracts that have been encountered. These contracts are life, health, and
automobile insurance that is a benefit for the person insured in case something happens such as a
death, a hospital stay or a car accident. Also, there are employment contracts that are signed when
one accepts a job such as an employment application, and service contracts such as contractors
performing work on my home. These are basic examples of how contracts affect everyday life on a

Social Class And Its Relevance
There has been an ongoing debate about social class and its relevance in contemporary society.
Marx s social class theory was relating to man and his access to the means of production. He stated
there are two classes the bourgeoisie, those who own the means of the production and the proletariat
who only possess their labour power to sell (Ollman, 1976). Pakulski and Waters argued that social
is dead, due to changes in economic and social structures along with adaptions in social identity and
belonging (1996). Although there has been changes and transformations to social classover time, for
example Bourdieu s three forms of capital. He states there is economic capital, cultural capital and
finally social capital (1986). Bourdieu built... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(CSO, 2012: 11, Figure 1d). This text will look at opportunity in Ireland in relation to social class
(Village, 2014). Both education and the health system will be analysed for processes of inequalities
between social classes in Ireland.
The text will also look at how Ireland s liberal policies have a great effect on social disparities
within society. The policies implemented by Irish governments encourage market participation,
and have seen many institutions becoming privatised. Liberal states have also shown to have the
lowest public expenditure according to Navarro and Shi (2001). This leads to inequality between
social classes which will be elaborated on later in the text. Ireland has great income inequality,
leading to a high contrast in relation to opportunity, meaning it s a good example for showing
social class as a structure of inequality. Bourdieu also stated that cultural capital leads to
inequalities in society. He argued that some forms of cultural capital are respected more than
others. The concept of cultural capital can create class identity because individuals share similar
backgrounds, tastes, accents etc. This creates group identities. It is because some forms of cultural
capital are valued more than others that disparities arise. This is a case of how social class has
changed in society but still survives (Social Theory Rewired, 2011).
Now let s look towards the education system. In Ireland all

Preparing Esters
Introduction:
In chemistry, an ester is an organic compound that contains a carboxyl group in which carbon is
double bonded to one oxygen atom and single bonded to another.(Clancy). The main types of organic
reaction that occur are Addition, Elimination, Substitution, Condensation, Esterification, Hydrolysis,
Oxidation, Reduction and Combustion reactions. Throughout this experiment, one will observe the
changes of how an esterification reaction takes place using different substances to form an ester.
Esters are formed when a carboxylic acid reacts with an alcohol resulting in an esterification
reaction. (Clancy). The most common way of making an ester, R OH + R COOH R COO R +

In the preparation of Ethanoic acid with Ethanol, 1mL of Ethanol was first placed into a 50mL
empty beaker and the odour and properties were observed. The Ethanol was a clear colourless
liquid that smelt similar to a permanent marker. In daily life, Ethanol is used in alcohol drinks
such as different types of liquors, it s a solvent for paint, and is one of the important tools to get
rid of air pollution from automobiles due to the fact that there is 35% oxygen in Ethanol, and the
addition of oxygen to fuels accomplishes complete combustion, thus, minimizing harmful
emissions. (Mueller). Nonetheless, Ethanol is miscible in water and could be biodegraded.
(Mueller). The next step to the process was to add 1mL of Ethanoic acid into Ethanol. Ethanoic
acid into Ethanol smelled similar to vinegar and the smell got stronger than Ethanol placed in a
beaker. Once the Ethanoic acid and Ethanol were mixed and heated in the presence of Sulfuric
acid, an esterification reaction was taking place. The odour was stronger allowing detailed
observations of the ester formed. The first ester formed was Ethyl Ethanoate. The reaction was
slow, and a lot of Ethyl Ethanoate was not produced. Consequently, the smell was disguised due to
the smell of the Ethanoic acid. (Clark). However, the mixture was squeezed from the pipette onto a
watch glass and mixed with droplets of water
