Introduction
For Ease of Use
To make duplication even easier, we’ve added a feature that lets you match
up the logical drives shown in the USB Duplication Suite software with the
actual physical port position of that drive. To take advantage of this function,
a “Port Training” needs to be performed to match each USB Port to your
Aleratec USB Duplicator. For example, you would likely designate the upper
port on the duplicator Port 1 and so on (see image).

The Format Then Data Copy function allows you to perform both a format
and data copy in the same job process. All selected drives will be formatted
with the file system you selected. Once the format is complete, the data
copy process will start automatically.
There are three format options available in the USB Duplication Suite.
Format FAT, Format FAT32, and Format NTFS. Each option will format the
selected drives and if specified apply a volume label.
By default a quick format will be run. However if you wishes to perform a
full format, you must check the “Full Format” box after selecting one of the
three formats.

Using the USB Duplication Suite Software
Port Training
The port training function allows you to map each USB port on their duplicator
to a virtual port in the USB Duplication Suite. This acts as a visible aide when
identifying which drives shall be operated on.
1. From the drop down menu located in the source tab, select “Port Training”.
2. A new window will appear, at this time you must remove all USB drives
from the computer and then press “OK”.
3. The window should display “Insert USB flash drive into port 1”. Find port
one on the duplicator.
4. Using a single USB flash drive, insert the drive into port one of the
duplicator. Wait for the Port # learned dialogue to appear then Remove the
USB flash drive from the duplicator.
5. Repeat the process for each port on the duplicator

6. Once each port has been trained, press the “Complete” button located on
the Port Training window.
Now, when a USB flash drive is inserted into the duplicator it will be
labeled with the mapped USB port instead of its Windows assigned
drive letter. For example, if the ports have been trained properly, when
a USB flash drive is plugged into port 3 of the duplicator, it should read
“USB-03” in the drive list located in the destination tab.
