Choosing The Best Court For This Lawsuit For Funny Faces
Determining the best court for this lawsuit for Funny Faces Donald Margolin should first consider
the following his personal jurisdiction, subject matter jurisdiction, and his minimum contact.
Personal jurisdiction deals with the power, the power the court s has over the parties involved in a
certain case. It applies to this certain case because Margolin is suing for his rights because his face
turned blue after using Funny Faces after shave cream. On the other hand subject matter jurisdiction
is the courts power to hear a certain case. This basically determines what courts will be involved
in what case. The importance of subject matter jurisdiction is crucial in this case because Donald
Margolin is trying to get his case heard by the right court in order for justice to be served.
Margolin doesn t want to have a lack of subject matter jurisdiction which can cause his case to be
dismissed. Margolin case may fall under one of the three jurisdictions which are exclusive federal
jurisdiction, state jurisdiction, and concurrent jurisdiction. Very few case falls under exclusive
jurisdiction such as bankruptcy cases, admiralty cases, and cases dealing with federal copyright.
State jurisdiction deals with more cases that is not involved with the exclusive jurisdiction of the
federal court system. State court also deals with cases involving adoption and divorce. Concurrent
jurisdiction on the other hand means that both state and federal court have jurisdiction over a case.

Student B As A Reader
Student B as a Reader (Kaylee)
What about the student as an individual (experiences, skills, interests) provides insight into his or
her work samples and your analysis of them? In a class where most students either fall into the
categories of being high achieving or low scoring, Kaylee is one of few students in the middle.
Next year, students have the choice of going on the college track in language arts and I would like
Kaylee to feel comfortable in her abilities to choose the college track. She feels that she is not good
at reading and therefore, she needs to stay in regular language arts next year.

The first assignment to accomplish these goals is the Lyric Analysis Assignment. This
assignment is aligned with all four instructional goals. Students were asked to analyze a song of
their choice as if it were a poem. I used several reading strategies for differentiation in my class
while teaching analysis of poem or song. I allowed them choice of song in their assignment as a
strategy to engage the students in the reading instruction. This is a tiered assignment with two
parts. The strategy of scaffolding the assignment into two manageable parts in which the second
part builds on the first allows the students to build on their thoughts in an organized way. This is a
good strategy for Kaylee in particular so she does not get overwhelmed by the assignment as a
whole. The students were to create a key using Google Comments in Google Docs that included a
minimum of four literary devices that they found in their song. I use the Google Classroom and
Google Apps for most assignments now. Technology allows me to differentiate instruction to meet
instructional goals because I can provide immediate written feedback. This circumvents the
problems of just giving oral feedback. Kaylee will never lose the feedback and she can always revisit
it. They needed to include an inference sentence for each device and explain the effect that the singer
gains by using that device. I used the strategy of modeling for
Most Important Titan Gods
The Titans There are 12 first generation titans. The Titans (males) were Oceanus, Hyperion, Coeus,
Cronus, Crius and Iapetus. The Titanesses (females) were Mnemosyne, Tethys, Theia, Phoebe, Rhea
and Themis. A common question asked is who is the most important Titan god? Hyperion is the
most important Titangod. The three most important Titan gods are Hyperion, Mnemosyne, and
Cronus.
Hyperion is the god of heavenly light. He is also thought of as the one who cycles the sun.
Hyperion, as a Titan son of Heaven, was probably also viewed as the primal god who first ordered
the cycles of sun, moon and dawn, establishing the regular rhythm of days and months. His
brother Krios, on the other hand, presided over the ordering of the heavenly constellations and so
in a complimentary manner ordered the year and the cycle of seasons (HYPERION).
Mnemosyne is the goddess of memory, and time. Mnemosyne was also a goddess of time. She
represented the rote memorisation required to preserve the stories of history and the sagas of myth
before the introduction of writing. In this role she was the mother of the Mousai (Muses) who
were originally patron goddesses of poets of the oral tradition (MNEMOSYNE). Cronus is the God
of time, and the king of all Titans. He ruled the cosmos during the Golden Age after castrating and
deposing his father ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

them. Although these three gods are the most important, the rest of the Titan gods are all important

Prison Gangs Research Paper
Groups of criminals usually based on the same racial or ethnic lines that function together in
correctional facilities throughout America are called gangs. Prison gangs consists of many
offenders in prisons that work together to defend and protect each other while also committing
crimes and producing a profit for the greater good of the specific gang. These gangs, since they are
most often based on race or ethnicity have many enemies and some allies which contribute to prison
violence. Although these prison gangs originated within the disciplinary system, they often continue
their criminal maneuvers outside of those restrictions once they are free. These prison gangs tend to
organize a system of hierarchy and establish a code of conduct or... Show more content on

Gang members are willing to go to the extreme to achieve the outcome that they desire. Along
gangs being associated with prison violence, gang members are also more likely to reoffend. Due
to Texas Syndicate being a life long agreement, once an offender is released they are still part of
the gang meaning that they will, more than likely, commit crimes out of prison or still look
towards violence as the answer, increasing their chances of being re arrested. The strict rules that
are set forth by Texas Syndicate are there to ensure loyalty and participation in the criminal
activities. Once a member is released from prison they are required to contact the highest ranking
member in the same area as he plans to reside in to ensure that no member strays away from the
gang. If a member doesn t make contact with a higher member once he is released, he will be
penalized harshly, to the extent of

Introduction When the stock market goes up one day, and then goes down for the next five, then up
again, and then down again, that s what you call market volatility. Historically, the volatility of the
stock market is roughly 20% a year and 5.8% a month, but volatility keeps on changing, so we go
through periods of high volatility and low volatility. Analysts and experts have different opinions
about what you should do in volatile markets, and how to scope with stock market volatility or the
tendency for share prices rising and falling. Analysts. Justin Stewart, co founder of Seven Investment

Tale Of Two Cities Analysis
Charles Dickens, writer of A Tale of Two Cities, inventively hints future occasions utilizing thrilling
points: A prohibited announcement of affection, resounding strides of a past that won t be
overlooked, and wine recolored roads destined to be spread with blood. The previously mentioned
occasions are gathered together in this account of adoration and relinquish, which upgrades the
peruser s understanding and underscores real topics. Charles Dickens incorporates portending, for
example, the wine container part open and spilling in the city, resounding strides heard by Lucie
Manette, and Sydney Carton admitting his adoration for Lucie, which escalates the peruser s
perusing background and features the stories significant topics.
One case of portending in A Tale of Two Citiesis Sydney Carton s guarantee to Lucie that he will
do anything for Lucie or anybody dear to her. He likewise uncovers his affection for her, and in
particular, his assurance that her bliss is worth more to him than his own particular life. Toward
the start of the novel, Stryver raised to Carton his affection for Lucie, Sydney Carton drank the
punch at an extraordinary rate, drank it by the guards, taking a gander at his companion (129).
Sydney expending his drink at a quicker pace provides us the insight that Carton is building up an
affection for Lucie. Prior, we know this is genuine in view of Stryver and Carton s discussion at the

Throughout this task I will do my best to explain how firms determined to maximize profit do just
that. Specifically I will delineate how such firms choose the optimum level of production or output
for the goods they produce and how they behave with respect to various elevations of marginal
revenue. In my attempt it will be appropriate for me to clarify the definitions of various economic
terms in order to assure a proper understanding of my thoughts on this topic, I will provide these

Such firms identify this optimized level of output by determining the specific point at which
marginal revenue and marginal cost are equal. The value to the firm is that this knowledge tells them
when they have maximized their profit making potential. Going past this point will result in a
negative return.
The point of profit maximization for the firm in the given scenario occurs at a quantity of 8 units.
At this point they have maximized their profit and as you can see to go beyond this point would
cause the firm to incur economic losses.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt Essay
After taking this class and learning about leadership I think that there are many qualities to
leadership. I believe an effective leader should demonstrate teamwork, integrity, compassion, respect,
good communication skills, the ability to listen to others, have the ability to delegate, have
confidence, initiative, a positive attitude, be creative, have self discipline, be responsible, have
courage, charisma, character, competence, passion, problem solving skills, and most of all, be
teachable. These are all in addition to the traits we learned from Bennis which include having a
vision, a distinctive voice, being adaptive, and having integrity.
Some of the leadership qualities I think I have strengths in include: teamwork, delegation, ... Show

The development of my leadership can be attributed to my roles in group projects throughout
school and also my job as a manager at Walgreens. I have learned that groups don t always
function properly and in certain instances there needs to be a push in the right direction for some
members of the group. I try to lead the group by motivating other members and sometimes
threatening them with a punishment because of their own lack of effort towards our common
goal. My role as a manger at work has also shaped my leadership capacities by making me in
charge of the store and the people working. When it comes to adversity I don t think that I have
faced much in my lifetime. Being compared to the adversity that other people have faced in their
lives the things I have overcome are minor and not necessarily life changing events. One person
that I admire is Lauren Conrad, who is a self made fashion designer with a great character and
moral compass. She is from Hollywood but he is a good genuine person despite her surroundings
and she is an inspiration to me other young women around the globe.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the 32nd President of the United States and is arguably one of the

Human Relation vs Human Resources
Discuss the difference between human relations theory and human resources development and the
implications which each strategy has for issues of socialisation and performance control. Which of
these theories appears to be most consistent with the behaviour of contemporary managers?
There are so many fallacies for instance the term of human relations and human resources where the
contemporary organisation unseen the differences between this two approaches. Both human
relations and human resources manager might use the same kind of organisational behaviour but for
very different reasons (Miller 2009). Human relations approach emphasize on productivity where the

In Herzberg s Motivation Hygiene theory led to development of extensive lists of these motivator
and hygiene factor (Miller 2006). According to Miller (2006), the category of motivator factors is
responsibility, achievement, recognition, challenging work and advancement in the organisation.
The category of hygiene factors are physical working conditions, salary, benefits, company policy
and the technical quality of supervision (Miller 2006). Herzberg believes that the absence of these
factors will lead to unhappiness and dissatisfaction. Effective job performance is highly dependent
on the adequacy and balance of both motivator and hygiene factors. A US retailer, Costco is known
to be incredibly loyal, which can be keep profitability for the organisation (Leberecht 2010).
Keeping the employees satisfied will make employees perform well and it results in higher
profitability for the organisation in the long run (Leberecht 2010).
The fact that human relation approaches can really enhance the performance control for an
organisation is undisputable however it will bring some negative impacts to an organisation at the
same time. Human relations theories revolve broadly around fulfilling employees needs as an
individual in correlation to their job performance. Therefore, individualism could also indirectly
cause the breakdown of cooperation as well as social cycle. For instance, Maslow s and Herzberg s
theory which mentioned about reward as motivator
The Pros And Cons Of Abusive Relationship
What it really means to be in an abusive relationship
Society is very familiar with the terms physical and emotional abuse, whether it is personal or a
term heard in passing. The majority of people want a happy, beneficial relationship not one that is
going to cause more harm than good, yet so many people find themselves in harmful relationships.
Why? People do not just find themselves in repressive relationships, there are many factors in one s
life that contribute to the reasons one may find themselves victims in repressive relationships. When
people think of tyranny what first comes to mind is some of the world s darkest events and the
tyrants responsible for them. More often than not, tyrants are at the forefront to blame for the
suffering and death of so many innocent people. Some historical tyrants that come into mind include
Adolf Hitler and a person he worked closely with, Benito Mussolini. Hitler ruled Germany with
absolute authority in the years leading up to world war two, took advantage of the German
people s suffering in the wake of world war one. He was able to manipulate the German people
transforming himself a symbol of hope at the time, offering the German people a way out of the
crippling poverty the country was stricken with as a result of the loss of world war one. By 1998
Hitler has established a strong support system and threatened to invade Austria (tyranny citation pg

thoughts do not define who they are and are not permanent (Hawkins Clinton, 2015). The task for
the Christian counselor is to relate to the client and to guide him or her through healing the mind.
