Broken Heart Syndrome Essay
Broken Heart Syndrome or Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy is a unique disease of the cardiovascular
system. It is a reversible form of Cardiomyopathy. This disease got its name from the look of the
left ventricular wall following changes when the disease takes place. The changes of the wall are
called apical akinesis and basal hyperkansis. It is reported that the left ventricle resembles a round
bottomed, narrow necked Japanese pot that was used to catch octopi. Tako meaning octopus and
tsubo meaning trap. This disease is generally caused by emotional stress or physical stress. Broken
HeartSyndrome is noted to be more prevalent in women who are sixty years of age or older. Most
often it presents following the loss of a spouse or loved one, but this disease has been known to
occur after vigorous exercise, accidents or excessive alcohol intake.
Characteristics of Broke Heart Syndrome include transient left ventricular wall motion
abnormalities, reversible ST segment abnormalities and cardiac enzyme elevation. The cardiac
enzymes are only mildly elevated in most cases. These enzymes include Troponin levels, with a
normal value of less than 0.02 and Myoglobin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The patient had no medical history or family history of any coronary risk factors or coronary artery
disease. There was no evidence of alcohol or drug use. An assessment of the patient was preformed
on arrival and she was noted to be tachycardic and tachypneic. The young lady was crying and
reported she had a fight with her boyfriend two hours prior to the chest pain starting. Vital signs
were stable with a blood pressure of 135/75 mmHg and heart rate of 92 beats per minute. An
electrocardiogram was obtained revealing ST elevation and depression. The physician ordered for
300mg of aspirin and 5,000 U of Heparin to be given and admitted the patient to the coronary

Music And Its Influence On Music
Introduction:
Music is a very telling form of expression. Whether it is the lyrics themselves, the tone in which
they re said or the rhythm of the music, there are many methods in which music expresses the artist
s opinion to his audience. The introduction of new methods of expression in music by tinkering with
old methods are how new musical ideas are discovered. In the past, Miles Davis explorations into
jazz fusion and modal jazz music pushed the envelope. Now, Kanye West s explorations through
samples, orchestration and rhythms shape the direction of music.
For both Miles Davis and Kanye West, the fields of music (Jazz and Hip Hop) in which they have
had most of their influence are considered to be predominantly dominated with ... Show more content

It accomplishes this through providing first hand quotes from Miles himself as well as quotes from
other jazz musicians around Miles, thus also establishing its creditbility.
Perhaps the most useful source of evidence comes from the quote French jazz pianist René
Urtreger: Miles was proud and touched by the fact that in France, jazz was considered to be very
important music . For in this quote we get a context about just how important jazz is to Parisian
culture. This can speak to our claim that Miles, along with other black music artists, fit into the role
of entertainment to the French. It is only in contexts where the French/ whites decide where black
can gain economic success and recognition. In this instance, it was in the case of Jazz where the
French deemed important and where Miles crossed over into perfectly.
This source also provided some background as to the decreased popularity of Jazz music in
American culture during the same time period with historical information. Yet despite all the
economic success and fame obtained in Paris, Miles s opinion on Paris seemed to be a negative
one as evident in his soundtrack for the film noir Ascenseur pour l Echafaud (Lift to the Scaffold),
evidence introduced in the article but will be discussed later in another source.

Cheapest Auto Insurance
Utilize These Tips To Get The Cheapest Auto Insurance
The general concept of finding out about auto protection will make a few individuals begin sweating
apprehensively. Truly the more you know the less befuddling it turns out to be, much the same as
whatever else in life.
When you are driving out and about, ensure that you comply with as far as possible. There is no
motivation to get pointless tickets, which can cost you a ton of cash and raise your protection rates
throughout the year. Drive securely on the off chance that you need to expand your money within
reach.

Protection for games autos is commonly more costly on the grounds that these autos have a high
burglary rate and poor crash execution. Notwithstanding, it pays to search around in light of the fact
that diverse protection organizations have distinctive techniques for choosing what characterizes a
games auto. While any little, quick auto with two entryways is for the most part considered a
games auto, the inquiry gets trickier with regards to four entryway autos. Because one office
characterizes your vehicle as a games auto doesn t mean the following one will do

Schema Theory
Vaishnavi Mamillapalle Psychology HL Mr. Wilcox Schema Essay December 9th, 2012 Schema
Theory Schemas are mental representation of knowledge built through experiences from people,
situation or object. Schema Theory is divided into three stages to get a better understanding of the
memory processes which are 1. Encoding Transforming sensory information to meaningful
memory 2. Storage Creates a biological trace of the memory, which is either consolidated or lost
3. Retrieval using stores information all the time . Schema is seen as a kind of framework where
some information is filled in and others are left blank . Schema theory tries to approach the analysis
of the world from a psychologist point of view which... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It also showed that people who encoded information were irrelevant to their prevailing schema
because people who had the buyer schema changed to burglar schema at encoding were able to
retrieve burglar info when schema was changed and vice versa. Some evaluation that came up
was that the participants were asked to read from only one perspective from two, and it was
controlled and conducted in a lab. Also after the delay of 12 minutes participants were asked to
recall the story again which would give more accurate results of what they are trying to find. This
experiment helps to explain many cognitive processes. There were more and more researches took
place on schema theory, another example is an experiment conducted by Bower et al which was
called The restaurant script . In this experiment participants were asked to name 20 steps that would
happen when they visit a restaurant. After this experiment was conducted he came to a conclusion
that around 15 steps defined that most of the people what it means to eat at a restaurant. This steps
list was later named by the restaurant script. They use this kind of script information to write stories
about people going to eat at a restaurant. Later, these stories were presented to a new group of
participants. These participants first had study the stories and later recall them. The findings of this
research were interesting, they
The Impact Of The Spinning Jenny And The Industrial...
Until the 18th century, material form wool or cotton was manufactured mainly by what was known
as the putting out system. A trader would provide the raw material to spinners and weavers. They in
turn would spin the wool and/or cotton into threads and weave the threads into material. The
material would then be sold back to the original provider at the going piecework rate of the day.
Spinning and weavingwas a true cottage or home industry because most of the spinners and weavers
worked out of their cottage homes. The Spinning Jennyinvented by James Hargreaves in 1764, but
only patented in 1770, contributed to the Industrial Revolutionin the textile industry by
revolutionising the process of cotton/wool spinning. Hargreaves and his family lived in Stan Hill, a
small village in Lancashire, England

James Hargreaves began to produce the Spinning Jenny for others to use and improved the design
to such an extent that up to 30 threads would be produced with one turn of the wheel. This created
jealousy from his neighbours and competitors and became a risk to Hargreaves and his family. He
then moved to Nottingham, entered into a partnership with another businessman and constructed a
small mill which used his invention to spin hosiers yarn. This all happened after he had a break in
at his house at Stan Hill where most of his machines were destroyed.
The Spinning Jenny invention was important because it was the first improvement on the spinning
wheel and was one of the first examples of the impact a mechanical competitive advantage could
have. Operators could spin with as many as 100 spindles. The Spinning Jenny paved the way for
other improved versions over time i.e. manually operated machines were replaced by automated
Holden Caulfield Communication
The Catcher and the Rye by J.D Salinger argues for the importance of communication and
companionship. Holden Caulfield s journey beings with him failing out of his 4th school Pencey,
and from the very beginning and throughout the book holden displays clear signs of depression,
such as, social isolation, lack of interest in almost everything, his inability to concentrate and
thoughts of suicide. You couldn t see the grandstand too hot, but you could hear them all yelling,
deep and terrific on the Pencey side, because practically the whole school except me was there
Holden isn t the most outgoing person he isolates himself from his peers and views almost all of
them as phonies . Holden s first interaction with an adult is when he goes... Show more content on

All you knew was, you were happy. You really were. One of the few people that Holden liked was
Jane Gallagher, she s the only person Holden talked to about the loss of his brother and when he
finds out Stardelator is taking her on a date he thinks about the childhood he shared with her. He
wants to go and say hi but he s nervous and avoids it. What d you do? I said. Give her the time in
Ed Banky s goddam car? Once Stradelator return from the date Holden desperately wants to know
if Stradelator gave her the time Holden remembers Jane as innocent and is scared by the thought
of her losing her innocence and losing their connection. When Stradlater avoids the question
Holden becomes very irritable and turns violent and attempts to kill Stradelator. . This next part I

something, and then I tried to sock him, with all my might, right smack in the toothbrush, so it
would split his goddam throat open. After the fight he goes next door to Ackley s room, even
though he finds ackley gross and annoying he s desperate for any companionship but he doesn t find
what he s looking for. I didn t answer him. All I did was, I got up and went over and looked out the
window. I felt so lonesome, all of a sudden. I almost wished I was dead. He couldn t talk to Ackley
about his personal life because like everyone else he
Importance Of Accounting For The Masonry
ANALYSIS RESULTS 4.1 INTRODUCTION This chapter introduces the results of the nonlinear
static and dynamic analyses for the existing and rehabilitated frames. The importance of accounting
for the masonry infill in the analysis is also discussed. In this chapter, a comparative study was done
on the performance of structures rehabilitated using different techniques, namely; (1) introducing a
RC structural wall, (2) rehabilitating using X steel bracings, (3) rehabilitating using FRP bracings,
and (4) rehabilitating using FRP confinements. The importance of accounting for the shear
degradation in the model of columns and beams is also investigated. The analysis results are drawn
in terms of maximum PGA or PGV resisted by the frames, maximum ID ratio capacity, maximum
storey shear / Weight ratio, and maximum energy dissipated by the frames. 4.2 ANALYSIS
RESULTS 4.2.1 Dynamic properties of the structures Modal analysis is conducted for the 5, 10 and
l5 storey frames for the existing structures and the ones rehabilitated using different rehabilitation
schemes. A 5% damping ratio was considered. Table 4.l shows the modal analysis results for the
studied cases. It should be noted that the existing structures and the rehabilitated ones using the FRP
confinement have almost the same natural period. This is due to the fact that the FRP confinement
increases the ductility of the rehabilitated elements with a negligible influence on their stiffnesses.
On the other hand, introducing of RC Wall
