It is predicted that all people will use the same global language in the future.
And there are a lot of opinions that whether it is a positive development or is a
negative development. In my view of thinking, this development is both
possible and negative.

On the one hand, the same language has some certain benefits. First of all, we
will easy to communicate with and can understand what others said, because we
do not have the language barrier. Moreover, we will not have to pay for learning
new languages if we want to study, live or travel in foreign countries. Secondly,
using the same language will decrease enmity between nations because in a
country there are some nations which speak different languages. Therefore, it
often leads to misunderstanding because some words in this nation are formal,
but in other nation are informal. For example, in Vietnam, there are 54 nations
so we have many languages, the same meaning but there are many words, and
sometimes we do not understand what others said.

On the second hand, talking the same global language also has some drawbacks.
Our particular languages will not exist anymore, we will lose our mother
tongue. We know that each nation has its specific culture, and language is also a
symbol of nations. National languages have their importance so that is a pity if
we do not use them anymore. Moreover, the national languages have been
created and existed for a long time so they have special meanings such as
history, talent. For instance, the Vietnamese language has a special and
important meaning, it has used for thousands of year even we had wars, lost
independence.

In conclusion, using international language to communicate with others has


many advantages but it also has disadvantages and it depends on people’s
thinking.
