Human Nature Short Story
Throughout history, there have been millions of philosophers. However, none of them have
uncovered the truth about human nature. The issue of morality has never been truly resolved. There
is an endless amount of arguments about humans being internally good, but there are just as many
for the alternate idea that humansare evil. The short stories that best exemplify humannature are
Child By Tiger , Am I Blue? , and Once Upon a Time . In all these short stories, there is a climax
involving the protagonist and then the author tells us how the supporting characters react. We see
how the town reacts to Dick, how the world reacts to Melvin s second wish, and we see how the
gardener reacts to the boy getting caught in the security system. Wolfe, Gordimer, and Coville show
us that human nature isn t the way we act, but it is the way we react; thus we aren t inherently good
nor evil, but a blend of the two.
Wolfe shows us the evil side of human nature that comes from within. In civilized societies,
people are not allowed to harm others. Therefore, the mob was using Dick s actions as an excuse
to let out their inner evil. These people had a burning hate for African Americans, so they knew
that they could do whatever they wanted to do to Dick without repercussions. The town s inner
savagery first comes out: We ve waited long enough! We re going to get that ni**er! (Wolfe 101).
The N word is used by the townspeople to show their hatred and bitterness told the entire

friends that were close as a family would be. Now being on her own, she must be creative as a solo

People will either love what you do or hate what you do! Thats a Fact. In our society women still
get a lot of judgement because of their gender. Usually if thing don t get done on time or is theres
the slightest mistake people criticize the work ethics because of the gender. Our society is full of
criticism and judgement, but who cares it doesn t matter what they think, what matter is what
makes you happy. You are a strong and independent person and you have the ability to achieve
anything. In the sam way, I do feel feel the judgement and criticism of some people I m

Existentialism In Nausea, By Jean-Paul Sartre
Nausea is a fictional book by Jean Paul Sartre that discusses the life of a troubled Antoine Roquentin.
The victim is suffering from nausea, which is a mental illness. According to Roquentin, the disease
is affecting his brain, and he has a feeling that he is going crazy. For this reason, he decides to record
all the changes in a dairy. Through the diary, he monitors the changes that he has no idea of its
origin. Sartre uses the life of Roquentin with the attempt of bringing meaning to life. He does this
through the use of existentialist ideas and complimenting it with fiction. The fiction by Sartre is
essential to the ancient and modern world. It is a book that significantly contributes to individuals
reflection of their lives and coming up with ways of improving their lives and those around them.
Additionally, it highlights the challenges that people go through in the society. This paper will
illustrate that existentialismis the best way one can figure out or understand his life.
Analysis
Nausea is a well crafted book that has extensively brought out the idea of existentialism and the
impact it has on our lives. The author first introduces Antoine to the readers, and he is facing many
difficulties in his life. He is suffering from a disease called nausea and does not have an idea of its
origin. The illness affected his brain and body that prevents him from making rational decisions. In
an attempt at gaining control of the situation, Antoine develops a habit
The Wild By Jon Krakauer
Psychology serves a Role Kids who have been a victim of maltreatment are often times hindered in
development as the rest of their life plays out. No matter the starting age, a family neglect can
create in kids an odd and unpleasant feeling. The constant exposure to depressors and bring me
downs that effected kids see really puts them into a terrible cycle. Some cases of maltreatment lead
to extraordinary stories and even more impressive characters. In Into the Wild, by Jon Krakauer, we
can observe that Chris McCandless fell into this vicious cycle, and was effected by it throughout his
adventurous life. Some of McCandless experiences later in life can be directly correlated with his
childhood difficulties. But, in order of make sense... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The way kids are raised by their parents effects their decision making and their values, beliefs and
self image until the day they die. If a kid grows up figuring things out herself or is neglected etc.,
that kid is forced to do what is necessary to develop as fully as possible. Hamama and Arazi
describe family relationships as being crucial in the development of the child. The article specifies
that two direct ways that kids are hurt is through family cohesion and subjective well being. Family
cohesion, in this article, is defined as the connections between family members that each family has,
while subjective well being talks about people s understanding of the life they live and how they
react to everyday situations and how all that effects their emotional and cognitive mind. These two
factors have shown to be directly correlated to children acting aggressively or unpleasant, according
to Hamama and Arazi. Children s aggression behavior includes three parts, according to Hamama
and Arazi. 1. A cognitive dimension hostility;2.an emotional dimension anger; and 3. A behavioral
dimension physical and verbal violence is how they defined aggressive behavior. Those two factors
are largely what influences children and their development, in Hamama and Arazi s eyes(Hamama
and Arazi). This article lays a great foundation for the explanation of Into the Wild. Into the Wild is
the non fiction story of how Chris McCandless, a normal guy in his later
The Pros And Cons Of The Federalist Era
The federalist era (1789 1801), was just a period in the American history in which the entire
American politics was extensively dominated by the Federalist Party. It was in this era that the
constitution of the United States was adopted as well as the expansion of the state government
come about (Hartz 11). The foreign entanglement that evolved between Great Britain and France,
the affirmation of a stronger centralized state government as well as the creation of the political
parties was some of the important events of this period. In addition to that, the anti federalists
consisted of diversified elements republicans and liberals. This means those who opposed the
constitution because the presence of a stronger government was going to threaten their
sovereignty and prestige of the localities, and also those who had a desire for a centralized and
disguised power (Vetterli et al 178). Regardless of the federalists and anti federalists being viewed
as either liberals or republicans, it should be noted that the anti federalist party and the Federalist
Party were the first party system of that period. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is due to the fact that it laid its emphasis on local rule to the point of associating centralized
power with the tyrannical monarch. Thus what made them to be liberal is because they regularly
claimed that their constitution ended up representing a step that was far way their democratic
objectives of the American Revolution as well as towards the twin evils of the aristocracy and
monarchy (Harris et al 17). Equally, what made them to be liberal in nature was because of the fear
they had that as much as the constitution had guaranteed the president much power, it was going to
make the proposed congress to be aristocratic in nature. This was also from the fact that it hard few

Drugs In William Shakespeare Essay
In the time that Shakespeare was writing his plays, many believed that he was using drugs, often
spawning inspiration for him. In his time, hemp was used for many different options. It could be
used for cloth, paper, rope, and even to cure certain medical ailments. Upon examination of
Shakespeare s home in Stratford, there were several different pipes that were found. These pipes
tested positive not only for cannabis, but also for cocaine. He also alluded to
Green 3 the use of drugs in many of his sonnets, such as that in the opening of Sonnet 27 which reads
Weary with toil I haste me to my bed, The dear repose for limbs with travel tired; But then begins
a journey in my head, To work my mind when body s work s expired. In his Sonnet 76, he also

As a dramatist concerned with relationships and sexuality, Shakespeare was aware that infatuation
could be readily confused with madness. He also made certain characters in Hamlet and As You Like
It, as well as many other plays, have some sort of mental illness. It is believed that Shakespeare had
such interest in these mental illnesses because his son in law, John
Hall, was a doctor who studied such things. Some of John s patients suffered from an ailment named
hypochondriac melancholy, and the ways he used to relieve such mental and physical issues were
also portrayed in many of Shakespeare s writings, such as bloodletting and purgatives. Hamlet
suffered from hypochondriac melancholy. One of Polonius lines after
Hamlet was rejected by Ophelia was that Hamlet fell into a sadness, then into a fast, thence to a
watch, thence into a weakness, thence to a lightness, and, by this declension, Into the madness
wherein now he raves And all we mourn for. During the time that King James ruled England,
Shakespeare created many of his

The Love Song Of J Alfred Prufrock Analysis
T.S Eliot s The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock is a literary work that entails the life of an
indecisive, intellectual man of great solitude. The beginning of the poem sets a disillusioned and
nostalgic tone of the poem. It vividly recounts some of Prufrock s dealings with various women,
who took an interest in Renaissance artist Michelangelo. It further elaborates on the yellow fog
that covers the windows to his social life of the outside world. Prufrock appears to be a middle
aged, modern man plagued by feelings of isolation and frustration. T.S Eliot utilizes the life of
Prufrock to symbolize his ideas of the modern man. Eliot s use of farcical language generates an
atmosphere of questioning as to why Prufrock could not overcome his... Show more content on

Prufrock subconsciously opts to indulge in his contemporary and psychological life of love, rather
than his realities of his hell, his life.
Furthermore, based on the title of the poem, T.S Eliot likely wanted to imply a farcical aspect of
the poem. For instance, Alfred Prufrock was a man of many opportunities, however, most of the
poem centers around his lack thereof. Additionally, both time and space are subjective to
Prufrock. Timings of each memory are hard to pinpoint due to the order in which the memories
are presented, causing an organized misperception of tenses and periods. Thus, memories of his
past and present seem to become infused with one another, vice separate happenings. In detail,
whenever memories are described within the poem, Prufrock is paralyzed in a seemingly confused
state. His thoughts are described in a present tense, but judging from another context of the poem,
all his dealings with women were in the past. Prufrock was simply reflecting on his life. He is
aware that he is growing old, and that he is running out of time to find a true love. Prufrock is
desperate for assistance with his shortfalls but has none. So, he accepts his fate, his
