The Pros And Cons Of Quarterbacks
There have always been stiff arguments between sports team devotees as to who s quarterback
really brings the goods to the table. The argument for who truly clenches the crown of being named
the GOAT, or great of all time, is surely not one to be taken lightly by any means whatsoever. After
all, this is the title any quarterbackin history has ever labored their entire life for just the chance to
claim. While Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Joe Montana are all pretty high on the totem pole, a
totem pole that stands colossal and robust, only one Quarterback can truly be named the GOAT. The
only Quarterback who truly possesses the firepower to claim this title is none other than the most
prominent; Tom Brady. Now for one to sit upon such a high
Social Worker Reflection
In Chapter 1 of Social Welfare in Canadian Society there is a section focusing on social welfare
programs and services. While reflecting on this section I examined the importance of the ideas
discussed and how they will contribute to my future as a social worker. As a social worker, I will be
exposed to the social welfareprograms and services. Being familiar with the programs and services
will be beneficial to myself as a future social worker. While being familiar with these programs
and services will prepare me for future contact with them, it will also give myself an idea of what
services and programs I believe work and which ones I recommend could use some improvements
by looking at them critically. Being critical is important as a social worker due to critical thinking
can lead to positive change.
Before reviewing the section on social welfare services and programs I had a general understanding
of the various types of services (targeted cash transfers, universal cash transfers, contributory
programs and tax relief programs). However, after reading the textbook I gained a more detailed
understanding of the program goals and descriptions. I was also familiar with the financial eligibility
tests, which include: income tests, needs tests, and asset tests.
Reflecting on the section and what I learned, a few questions came to mind. I could not help but
wonder how effective the various programs truly are. Are they meeting the needs they set out to need
? I also wonder if when
Synthesis Essay On Fair Use
Since the 1990 s, the world has experienced boundless improvements and expansion with
information systems, technology and the Internet, and as a result, laws have had to evolve as well.
Such laws have been up against some very complex and sensitive issues such as how to control
piracy of copyrights. In response to such complex issues, Congress passed the Digital Millennium
CopyrightAct (DMCA) of 1998. The DMCA made it illegal to circumvent Digital Rights
Management (DRM) systems, create, or sell technology that is capable of circumventing through
DRM systems, thus resulting in an overall change in the provisions of copyright laws. Copyright
laws are used to protect the intellectual works from having others profiting without permission of the
original author. In addition to such copyright laws, the design of the DMCA is to supplement
copyright laws that currently protect the interest of copyright owners in the age of the Internet.
Additional protections governed by the DMCA increased the ease of individuals uploading digital
media such as music, video,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the concept of fair use has changed over the years with the changing of intellectual
property and technology, which pose questions as to whether DRM technologies are capable of
accommodating fair use at all. If DRM systems are to preserve fair use, they must somehow
preserve its ambiguity, its ability to evolve and embrace as yet unrealized uses of copyrighted
works. (Von Lohmann). It is not surprising that of these developments, that DRM technology may be
used by copyright owners to erode capabilities that had previously been permitted to the public by
copyright law under the fair use doctrine, but what is the nature of the tension that is between DRM
and fair
The Congressional District Of Missouri
Congratulations! You are a 2018 congressional nominee for Missouri s 5th district. Missouri s 5th
district is home to the largest metro area on the central Great Plains. The 5th Congressional District
of Missouri includes most of Kansas City, the largest city in Missouri, plus Grandview, and the
bulk of Independence. In post 2010 census redistricting, rural Lafayette, Ray, and Saline counties
were added. If you want to successfully campaign here, you will have to know who to talk to, where
to talk to them, and what to say. You will also have to understand the district from the inside out.
First, understand who you are talking to and who you will potentially represent.

If you do play your chips right, you could start a fundraiser at the places and events to fund your
campaign, but you could even show and tell the people what you are about. According to Emanuel
Cleaver, the present Representative, he himself was able to fund his campaigns through luncheons
on Sundays at the Chief s Stadium. You may want to go to visitkc.com to take a look at some
upcoming events to attend.
One place you would want to wander would be the Country Club Plaza. This area is full of stores,
restaurants, shoppers, arts, and is also right down the street from the University of Missouri Kansas
City. Year round you can make campaigns here because it is always the go to spot for many
people of Missouri s 5th district. Every Thanksgiving night, a special guest comes to flip the
switch for the Plaza Christmas Lights. Showing up on stage at this event would give you major
face time as this event is televised by every local station and news crew. Show your face at
sporting events such as Chiefs football games and Royals baseball games. Kansas City is a city
that really supports their sports teams. If you support them, they will support you. Go downtown
and do some campaigning in front of Union Station, which is a running train station and activity

Cool Runnings Film Analysis
Cool Runnings is a inspirational film. I have to say that this movie is the best one although the
style is a bit outdated because as we all know that this film opens across America on October 1,
1993. I believe that this is a movie that has been almost can t be found. But as the old saying goes
All is not gold that glitters. But gold will glitter forever. And I find this gold because it gives me
gives me a lot of inspirations and teaches me a lot of truths. Cooling runnings mainly talks about
four youth in Jamaica who are going to try out for the Olympic Games. There are so many
countries which come from different parts in the world will participate in the Olympic Games. Each
of them is very powerful. Derice was one of the main characters... Show more content on

It might not be historically accurate. But no one can deny that Cool Runnings is one of greatest
films. It is absolutely hilarious. The actors are very good and experienced. In fact, in 1988, the
Jamaican bobsled team won international acclaim and praise in the Winter Olympic Games. They
didn t complete their final run and they lost the game. But they had shown large improvements from
beginning until their final run. The filmmaker created this movies in a different way. He made the
characters experience more humorous and colorful. It is different from the actors between the
Jamaican bobsled team who had taken part in the Winter Olympic Games in 1998. The story was
largely fictionalized to support the tastes of
Biography of Booker T. Washington
Booker T. Washington is a famous African American educator, author, civil rights activist, and
philanthropist who is from Virginia (Wells). He is the man that promoted African American to
rise above their status of trying to be equal with Caucasians by promoting education and
economic self determination. Washington s life serves as an example of his philosophy or
belief due to his experience of knowing where African Americans started after the Civil War,
where they were headed, and resulted in changing their course to successful life. Booker T.
(Taliaferro) Washington was born in Franklin County, Virginia on April 5, 1865. He was born an
interracial baby to Jane Ferguson. He white father, who he never knew, was suspected to have
lived on a nearby farm (Smock, 3). He was born a slave and was owned by the Burroughs family.
The cabin that he was born was considered a rectangular box of 16 by 14 feet and served as kitchen
where his mother cooked for his family and the Burroughs family. This cabin, known as Booker T.
WashingtonNational Monument, is still preserved can be visited and toured to day in Franklin
County, Virginia. His childhood was not filled with play but rather labor (Smock, 18). As a young
child, four or five, he would do little chores, including fetching items and operating a fan to keep
the flies away from the food. As he grow older and stronger, he would be assigned various task such
as taking corn to the mill, giving water to the men in the fields , cleaning,
The Bystander Effect In Night By Elie Wiesel
38 people witnessed Catherine Genovese get stabbed, in three separate attacks, over a period of 35
minutes in Queens. Even as the assailant returned twice to finish off the job people still did nothing
to intervene. This is called the bystander effect. This is a psychological phenomenon that describes
the decrease in a person s likliness to help someone in need when there are other witnesses around.
As found in most everyday crimes, the bystander effectwas also found during the Holocaust. In
Night, by Elie Wiesel, the bystander effect is revealed due to one s inability to help others in need
because of fear they will be persecuted as well. The Jews of Sighet did nothing to help the foreigners

I kept silent. In fact, I thought of stealing away in order not to suffer the blows (Wiesel 54). This
is a prime example of the bystander effect because it shows a witness that is frozen and unable to
act for a certain reason. In this situation Elie can not help his father because he knows that if he
does, then he will suffer a beating as well. He would rather slip away then help his father in order
to escape a beating. Fear locks Elie as a bystander unable to act but only watch. Prisoners during
the holocaust normally could do nothing to help family, friends, and stranger who were falling
victim to the Nazi regime. Many times they had to watch as their fellow prisoners were beaten and
killed but could do nothing about it due to their fear. Elie describe what happened at the gallows
when the young boy was hung, Then came the march past the victims. The two men were no longer
alive. Their tongues were hanging out, swollen and bluish. But the third rope was still moving the
child, too light, was still breathing... (Weisel 65). After the execution each prisoner had to walk past
the boy, but yet again could do nothing but watch him die. They knew that if they help the child
then they would either be beaten or even worse, killed. These prisoners once again fall victim to the
bystander effect because they are unable to help someone in need because of their own
Famous Footwear Essay
Carolyn Graham sat down to try on a new pair of shoes at Famous Footwear, one of the new stores
on the north side of town.
Graham, Wooster, was joined by friend Jodi Specht, Doylestown. They were celebrating Graham s
achievement of passing board exams to be a nurse practitioner. What better way than to shop for new
shoes.
Among the thousands of shoes in the store, Graham found a new pair of dress shoes. Specht was in
recently and purchased two pairs. Even though both have added to their footwear selections at home,
they are contemplating a return trip Saturday morning when Famous Footwear has its grand opening
celebration.
Store sales manager Roseanne Roden said 100 pairs of shoes, up to $60 in value, will be given free

African Blue Bird Myth
The chasm that we experience as humans, in both African legends and Judeo Christian scriptural
accounts, are explained by narratives of human actions that were offensive to God, and thus caused
Him to become less involved in the lives of humans. In his article Genesis 11: 1 9, Solomon Avotri
thesis essentially is that The African Blue Bird myth and the Biblical story of The Tower of Babel,
demonstrate man s attempts to seek immortality, due to man s alienation from God. Avotri, begins
making the connection by introducing the western reader to the African story of The Blue Bird. In
this story, god in the early days dwelt among men on earth, and man lived in bliss. However, one
day some angry women beat Him, for they were annoyed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The problem in doing so is that we are talking about two different beings. Nyami and the worship of
him are entirely cultic; and his nature is said to be often times is unfair, capricious, and dangerous
(22). However, the God of the Bible is immutable in his being, perfections, purposes, and promises,
and reacts differently to different situations, but is consisting in his judgment (Grudem, 163 165).
Which negates Avotri claims that the Hebrew God acted out of fear, capriciousness, and unjustly to
frustrate human happiness while they were improving their circumstances at Babel (Avotri, 19 20;
22). To understand the historical account of The Tower of Babel, we must interpret it within the
metanarrative of Scripture. The leader of Babel was Nimrod, who was a mighty hunter before
the Lord, which is widely accepted that it means he was a man of great wickedness (Genesis 10:
9, Henry Morris Study Bible, 47). In Genesis 11: 4, when they people discuss making this tower, it
should be noted that they were setting up their own religious system, based on mans efforts, and
this system was pagan, for all paganism has its roots traced to Babel (Babylon) (Hislop, 23 33;
Banning Books
The Reasons to Ban Books
Schools are meant to be a safe environment full of books and learning opportunities. If this is
impaired by books that should be banned, students may feel displaced or uncomfortable. Even a
high schooler is prone to this, if action is not taken. There are hundreds of books full of violence,
explicit language, and drug references. Annenberg Classroom says it is unsuitable for students
(AnnenbergClassroom.org). Students of all ages are strongly suggested to not partake of those
things, and reading all about them can cause them to think it is acceptable. It is up to administrators
and parents to decide what should be allowed in school libraries. Everybody has different beliefs, but
most people would not want their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many school districts do not have manga or anime banned (Debate.org). This style of literature is
often considered non educational. Books should at least have censorship when profanity or have
sexually explicit content are used. Reading this content as a student is 100% unnecessary. In a
study done in 2000 09 by the American Library Association, about 1,250 books were challenged
because of offensive language. Around 1,600 books were challenged in that same study for being
sexually explicit (Butler.edu). During this, almost all books that were banned were either in school
libraries or schools. A common example of a banned book is Harry Potter by J.Kk. Rowling. This
book has a presence of witchcraft (Butler.edu). In many people s minds, witchcraft is extremely bad,
and completely unnecessary to discuss those topics. Since many people are against witchcraft, if that
was to be discussed in schools, awful consequences for teacher as well as student could result.
It is understood why somebody may think that books should not be banned at schools because by
doing this parents are hurting their children by restrain their knowledge. When a quality book is
banned, the children lose the opportunity to learn from that book. It is better supported that, some
books should be banned from schools because they can introduce students to unacceptable topics and
teach them bad or useless
