Strictly Ballroom Film Analysis
In the 1992 film Strictly Ballroom, director Baz Luhrmann utilizes different film technique to
influence the depiction and the growth that certain character witness throughout the movie.
Wardrobe and makeup also play an important role in the film as it shows the unfolds the persona of
the character. However, camera angles and lighting help reveal different connections and theorize
that the filmtends to touch base on. One example out of many is that Strictly Ballroom is closely
related to the fairy tale Cinderella.
The main message behind the Cinderella fairytale is that you should always proceed for what you
believe in and never stop fulfilling your dream because the main title role Cinderella never gave up
even after being enslaved
Heller s Greed Quotes
Heller emphasizes the greed, hypocrisy and mercenary ideological adaptation of businessmen in a
satirical attack on capitalism, ultimately suggesting that American capitalists only succeed materially
by limiting the individuality of themselves and of others. Frederick R. Karl, when describing the
appeal of Catch 22, wrote: It appeals to the businessman, who does not really believe that his
empire primarily serves the public good (Karl). The center of Heller s satirical take on unregulated,
capitalist greed is Milo Minderbinder, a character who increases in power, pathology, and moral
bankruptcy until his syndicate launches an attack on his own men to uphold a trade contract. Even
when Milo s exploits are limited in scale, Heller makes... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, Milo will often take both of an issue s opposing stances within a single paragraph,
producing utterly ridiculous quotes that contradict each other to persuade and tempt from every
possible angle. Shame on you!...Bribery is against the law, and you know it. But it s not against
the law to make a profit, is it? So it can t be against the law for me to bribe someone in order to
make a fair profit, can it? (265). A rather on the nose image (just before the Pianosa bombing) sees
Milo appropriating military aircraft and painting over the slogans of the squadrons: such laudable
ideals as Courage, Might, Justice, Truth, Liberty, Love, Honor and Patriotism that were painted out
at once by Milo s mechanical stencils with a double coat of flat white and replaced in garish
purple with the stenciled name M M ENTERPRISES, FINE FRUITS AND PRODUCE (253).
Heller satirizes the manipulation of those laudable ideals elsewhere in the novel, but Milo s
stenciling creates a bathos that reflects the mutual exclusion between greed and values. Furthermore,
it suggests that an America that encourages wanton commercial climbing has no capacity for values
otherwise, why would the Air Force so easily allow their ideals to be
The Magnificent Life of the Black Hole
The magnificent life of a black hole. The black hole is a mystery that you will want to learn about. A
black hole does many wonderful things in outer space. Black holes in outer space have been a
mystery for years. There are many questions such as how is a black hole born and how does a black
hole grow.
What is a black hole?
A black hole is a dead star in outer space. It is where planets and stars disappear at. The gravity of a
black hole is way too strong ( Aguilar 39). The black hole is a weird object in outer space and a
black hole is formed when two giant stars or more collapse together and basically vacuum anything
that comes near it ( Aguilar 39). It might be gases around the black hole. People call it a black hole
because light ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are also born from something called supernovae and the skies may give a flash like a
supernovae showing or giving a sign such as a black hole is forming or is creating a black hole.
These are a lot of different ways a black hole in outer space is created or is born (Caltech.edu).
How does a black hole grow? Black holes grow by eating other stars (Science Technology from the
U). Black holes sometimes constantly swallow stars because they are too close to the black hole
(Science Technology from the U). First, Scientists found out that black holes grow very big
because they are sucking binary stars, and they also discovered that there are two ways that
causes a black hole to grow super big and they are with gas clouds and with stars (Science
Technology from the U). Secondly, they also grow by sucking in anything that comes near it.
Black holes mostly grow super big by stars because sometimes there is gas and sometimes there is
not. There are a large amount of stars sucked into a black hole. Black holes come in different sizes
such as small, medium, and large. It s hard to measure a black hole (Mack 31). Third, there is no
real surface to measure of a black hole so that makes it hard to measure a black hole (Mack 31).
There is only a boundary around the black hole and the boundary around the black hole is called an
event horizon

Three Types Of Native Americans Essay
ll we know America is a diversity of country. Actually, there were three distinct types of Native
Americans that lived in the United States before the invasion of the Europeans. These groups were
distinguished based on the time period that they existed, and the similarities in activities. The three
types included Paleo Indians, Archaic Indians, and the pre Columbian era. In order to understand
their differences and similarities, it would be important to discuss each one of them individually,
highlighting some of the common traits shared among them. It would also be important to point out
some of their differences, as they contributed significantly to the development and evolution of the
communities through time. The main difference among the types of Native Americans is the time
period that they existed. The first group of Native Americans in the United Statesarrived during the
Paleo Indian era. They are believed to have arrived in the country approximately 15,000 to 7000 BC
ago (Schultz 4). During this time, the people were distributed all across the country and as such,
there was a significant... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All groups were highly mobile, and they lived in extended families of approximately 20 to 60
individuals but as time went by, these bands evolved into tribes (Schultz 5). There were several
Native American tribes across the three time periods, which shared the same language and similar
cultural beliefs. They also had the same ceremonies for harvesting, rites of passage, and even the
initiation of a child into society. These aspects united them as one society, although they did not
speak the same language. However, some tribes had an almost similar tongue, and it was easy for
them to relate positively unite when they needed to. There were other communities that fought for
resources and geographical locations, hence the need for

Bullfighting Essay In Spanish
Bullfighting originates back to 700 A.D. in Spain. It started as an activity for the King s
crowning. It was later turned to a ceremonial event for the upper class. The status of bullfighting
changed when King Felipe V thought it brought a negative attention to his family. Because the
people of Spain had grown accustomed to the event, the commoners took it on as a sport. This
event or sport has special equipment, participants, structure, and purpose. Each piece of
equipment used plays an important role in the ceremony. The traje de luces is the matador s
costume. It is made with silver and gold threading. Along with the matador s costume, the matador
has two other pieces of fabric. The Muleta is a small red cape, and the capote is the gold and pink
cape. The participants in the ceremony have a variety of tools. A vara is a long lance. Banderillas are

The first stage is Tercio de varas translated in English to third of lances. This stage starts with the
observation of the bull. The bull enters the ring and is tested by the matadors and banderilleros
with the capote. Next, two picadors mounted on blindfolded horses are brought into the arena.
Using varas, the picador stabs the bull in the neck when it attacks. The loss of blood and force
exerted causes the bull to hang its head lower, making its attack less intense. The second stage is
called tercio de banderillas, which means third of flags. During this time period, 3 banderillos put
two banderillas into the bull s shoulders. The action makes the bull weaker. The final round of the
fight is called tercio de muerte or the third of death. The matador has fifteen minutes to kill the bull.
First, he tries to put the bull in a position to kill by putting a sword through the bull s shoulder
blades and to the heart. If the matador can not perform the task, the matador must use a verdugo to
kill it instantly. The bull is dragged out of the arena by mule and
