1. Preparation
Bed must be perfectly flat. Adjust by filler plate.
(To make straight marking line on side of KP)

2. Delivery
2 men for road, 2men for pedestrian when sending out
trailer

3. Lay KP on the bed


・Major axis to be vertical
・Put filler plate into gap
(some KP has different section of its upper & lower
portion)
・KP must be put horizontally
・Cantilever should be less than 3m
4. Hoisting KP
・Only for shifting KP, use red color lifting lug

・Must use proper equipment for hoisting even if it’s


stopper pin

・25mm thk steel plate must be spread all over the


working area of crane without gap

・Once stop hoisting at 50mm height to check the


ground under the crane
5. Visual check
- Welding portion
-- Under cut, blow hole, overlap, slag, discontinuity
- Dimension of KP
-- Length, section
- Number of shear stud

6. Joint dolly
・Provide center marking on top and side of KP
・Adjust dolly center to KP center with jack support
※Do not tighten bolt

・Calculation of corbel bracket level:

A = GL-104.95+1.30+0.10 (m)

After adjustment of center line to KP,

insert bolt following order shown in
the left figure.

Tightening should be from inside


towards outside.

・Make ground flat and tighten before putting steel plate

・Steel plate must be parallel with grid line and 4 corner


of frame must be on doubled steel plate

21. Insert 8 inches tremie pipes

・Suspend tremie pipes with jig shown in the left figure
and shake 2 pipes at the same time.
23. Curing
・Duration of curing is 12 hours
※Don’t release I beams and jacks while curing

24. Remove I beams and jacks then fix L frame

25. Pump out bentonite

26. Backfill with sand


・Backfill around KP equally to avoid loading horizontal
force to KP

27. Put flag beside KP
